We decided to have a last minute trip to Chester and did a quick online search for somewhere to stay and found Roomzzz. We hadn't heard of the company before but like aparthotels for the freedom they provide to 'do your own thing' so decided to give this one a try. What a great find this was.
First off, a hotel with parking in the middle of Chester is a rare find so that was a great start. We booked a suite and were able to check in early as a room was available so we went straight up. The door opened up on to a small hallway with bathroom, bedroom and lounge/kitchen all opening off it. First, the lounge/kitchen. This was a great size and very well equipped for a short stay with fridge, hob, microwave and dishwasher. The lounge had a very comfortable sofa with 'chaise' end so you could put your feet up all evening, as well as a separate armchair and small dining table and chairs. We were so impressed with the quality, space and comfort. The bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed and the bathroom was well equipped with a lovely walk-in rainfall shower. My only tiny issue was the glass bathroom door with a small gap down the side - perhaps a more traditional fitted door would afford slightly more privacy although after 20+ years of marriage that ship has long since sailed!!
Both the bedroom and lounge had sliding doors onto a great size balcony overlooking Chester racecourse. On sunny days this would be a wonderful feature and even on a rather soggy January day we could appreciate the value of this outdoor space.
Breakfast was "grab and go" and collected from the reception area. I was expecting a bit of a limited offering so was surprised and very pleased to see fruit juice, yoghurts, fruit, warm croissants, Danish pastries and tea/coffee. I must admit I was greedy and had both a croissant, which was warm and delicious, and a superb pain au chocolat. I would happily stay again just for those!
Finally, I have to say well done to the staff - friendly and helpful throughout our short stay.
We have already earmarked a couple of other Roomzzz locations which we intend to visit. If they are all of this quality, we will be delighted.

My fiancé and I stayed here as a treat for his Birthday the weekend just gone. The hotel is easy to find with plenty of parking (though it got busier after we arrived but we managed to nab a space in the afternoon), staff were friendly on arrival and the room was clean, spacious and stylish. We stayed in the Goodwood Penthouse and were surprised to be treated to some goodies on the house along with a Birthday banner and card from the hotel. The hotel is situated no more than 10 minutes walk from everywhere you could want to get to in Chester City Centre and the 24hr reception is great - we were greeted by smiling faces even at 2am and grabbed coffees from the machine before heading up to our room (a big perk to us was the free hot drinks machine 24/7). Lastly I'd like to mention that we didn't hear anyone else in the hotel, not a peep from any other room and we were only aware that the rooms surrounding us were occupied as they had 'do not disturb' hangers on the doors in the morning.
Thank you Roomzzz and staff for a lovely stay - maybe next time we come back the sun will be shining and we will get to make the most of the lovely balcony views!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this modern, well equipped hotel. The rooms have a kitchenette including two hobs, a dishwasher and microwave, and plenty of crockery and cookware. The decor is very attractive in a modern, minimalist way. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a grab and go counter, including a range of teas, coffee, fresh croissants and pastries in sealed paper bags, fresh fruit and fruit juices. Best of all is the location, inside the walls and close to all attractions. There is limited parking at the hotel but we were advised to park at the Watergate car park, which was right opposite the hotel and £10 a night, the same as the hotel car park.

Recently stayed Friday-Sunday for my partner's birthday, there was more parking available than we expected for a good price of £10 a night (appeared to be full by Saturday lunchtime). Upgraded to a more spacious room upon arrival, hotel room was very clean and we were pleased with all the facilities available (kitchenette with microwave, kettle etc) iron/hairdryer available. Bed was remade whilst we were out on the second day. Bathroom clean and spacious. We were greatful for the 'grab and go' breakfast each morning which we took to our room. The location is great, five minute walk from all the bars and ten mins from lots of restaurants and shops. only con was that the bed was slightly hard so not so comfortable. Other than that, Would definitely return.

We stayed for a night in Roomzzz hotel and we had a lovely experience. The room is more like a small studio apartment, there is a kitchenette full with microwave, hobb, kettle, dishwasher, pans and cutlery.
There is also a complimentary breakfast with fresh fruit and pastries. There is also a coffee machine available 24h

We were visiting family in Chester for Christmas and stayed here with the in-laws. What a place! We paid £68 per basic room - excellent value for money. The rooms were modern, spotless and well appointed. We had a kitchenette with a microwave/grill, two ceramic hot plates and even a dishwasher. The bed was comfortable and we loved the swivel TV at the base! Would highly recommend particularly for visitors to Chester who are on a budget as you could easily prepare food here to save on eating out all the time. It is overlooking the racecourse and only a five minute walk into town. Oh and they supply a “grab and go” breakfast in the lobby of croissants, Danish pastries, porridge sachets and fresh fruit.

Room was booked using an offer for 3 nights in a Neo apartment with free snack pack and complimentary grab and go breakfast for £119. This represents amazing value for money. We received a snack pack containing popcorn, nachos and dip, Chicago town pizzas and 2 soft drinks.
The aparthotel is situated directly opposite the racecourse. It is a great location in easy walking distance from the city walls and the town.
There is a small carpark which you can use for £10 per night. We got a space here, but it was pretty full, so may be unavailable if you arrive later.
We stayed in room 101. The neo apartment has everything you need for a great city stay. Nice touch to have a kitchenette with everything you could need (we had a take away one night) and the complimentary white company toiletries in the bathroom. Bed was really comfortable too.
Grab and go breakfast consists of croissant, pain au raisin and pain au Chocolat with juice, fruit (apples, oranges, Satsuma and banana) and yoghurt. This just hit the spot for us. If I'm being picky, I'd say they could improve it by giving customers jam pots free of charge (I had to purchase one from the shop at a cost of 50p).
The room was clean apart from the desk/table which was a little dusty. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the York Roomzzz last September and I would say that had the edge slightly, but this is a very nice place to stay in a beautiful city and we'd definitely stay again.

This hotel was just fine but nothing special. On the plus side, staff members were helpful and the bed was comfortable. The showers were very good and the air con was appreciated. It’s handy grabbing breakfast from reception. We valued the housekeeping during the day as many other hotels have dropped this.
However, the decor is like a student accommodation- very dark and corporate. Our bed was right beside the door so we could hear slamming doors and voices during the night. The room was also a bit dusty in places so I think they need a stricter cleaning procedure. Overall, we wouldn’t stay in a roomzzz again as it’s just not for us.

Just spent a couple of nights at the hotel which was very nice no room at the car park but plenty of room at Watergate opposite Chester race course £5 per day pay on exit. Room was clean and comfortable however there is a strange smell from the bathroom possibly caused by underfloor heating and cleaning product combining, we left the windows open so didn’t cause us any issues. Staff are all friendly and the grab breakfast works well and coffee machine is easy to use. We had a room on the 3rd floor and didn’t hear anything from inside or out. Would use again if visiting Chester.

Stayed here for night on a Friday, apartment is spot on - the perfect size and has everything you need (and plenty of plugs which is rare). Kitchen as microwave, hob, dishwasher, fridge and utensils. Shower is powerful and hot.
Love the fact you can get hot drinks from reception at any time and the grab and go breakfast.
Staff were lovely and rang ahead to tell us the car park was full and where to park (2 minutes away) and it was no issue when we got in at 1am and asked to extend to late check out (£10 until 1am)
