We stayed at the hotel for two nights over a weekend and were immediately impressed by its dominant position with fantastic views over the bay. Booked the Winter Warmer deal, two nights dinner bed and breakfast. Not bad value although not convinced the AA Rosette restaurant was best value. Standard room smallish but clean and comfortable. Got walk - in shower as requested. Slight drainy smell from the old pipework. Nice homely guest lounge. Disappointing meal on first night. Hake dish a 'symphony of grey'...

This hotel is in a wonderful location and position but sadly it is tired. A few simple cosmetic things could help,like taking the out of date pelmets down in the bedrooms,modern cushions,the idea was there just out of date.Fixing the leak in the shower so the damp wouldnt show in the bedroom. Returned for another spa day with friends. Lovely staff, friendly and attentive. Treatment was great, lovely lunch and as there were quite a lot of us we had a room to ourselves which was really nice. Appreciated the robes and magazines on the loungers. Many thanks for a fab day.
