Property's Favourite Review
Now this is a first for me, writing a review literally an hour after I’ve checked out of somewhere but I just want to shout praises on this beautiful B&B so you all know!
I stayed here for 3 nights while organising my sons new Uni accommodation.
Shaun is an amazing host (Renate was away when I stayed) and even made me a pot of tea and biscuits in the lounge on arrival (what a lovely touch).
I stayed in the single room on the top floor and it was perfect, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable with crisp linen on the beds and the room had plenty of storage space. There is beautiful views from both windows. There was a fantastic tea and coffee selection along with biscuits and bottled water. The bathroom had a shaped bath and over bath shower, top notch loo paper (😬) and even a rubber bath mat.
The breakfast choice was fantastic with fresh cut fruit, a large cereal and yoghurt (even dairy free) selection and more. The hot breakfast was piping hot and delicious along with fresh coffee and juices.
The walk into town takes about 10 minutes (a little longer on the way back - uphill) and 5 mins to the beach.
All in all a fantastic stay and will definitely book again if I need Falmouth accommodation.
Breakfast photos show my choice, there was options for more.

We have stayed at Dolvean House on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Even with the pandemic the high standards are maintained with extra safety measures in place to protect residents and staff. The location is ideal for us, with places of interest easily accessible and local restaurants within easy walking distance. Shaun and Renate are a wealth of knowledge about Cornwall and are always willing to give advice and tips on where to visit and eat etc. Rooms are very well maintained and very clean. The owners work hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and always making sure everything runs smoothly during your stay.

From the moment I spoke to Sean on the phone I knew we would probably enjoy our stay. On arrival we were met with a smile and a warm welcome to be led to our room which was spotless and extremely well appointed for a bed and breakfast venue. Within walking distance of the beautiful beach and the town centre we never needed to use our car for any of our daily and evening visits locally.
Breakfast was fresh hot and delicious with plenty of choice and to be honest we didn't need to eat until evening it was so filling.
Many thanks to Sean and his hard working wife our chef and hope to see you again soon?

Me & my husband stayed in the Dolvean for a week from the 5th September. Beautiful b&b in a fantastic location as across and down a road you have the beach and down the other side a nice stroll down into the town centre. From the offset Shaun made us feel very welcome, we had room 15 which was at the top and a good view of Falmouth a comfy bed and a lovely bathroom, all very clean. Breakfast was outstanding every morning with a great selection of different foods, we will definitely be going back next year.

We had a 4 night stay and were very happy, parked in their private car park a good friendly welcome and settled in, our room was very comfy all the things you need kettle and bottled water with a variety of drink choices, TV, heater, wardrobe with plenty of quality wooden hangers. The bathroom spotlessly clean looked new, hot water any time of day or night and lovely big soft towels. Breakfast excellent any cooked combination you want, cereals, yoghurts , fruit and the apple yoghurt museili very tasty, my favourite along with honey and toast, Tess was a pleasure to talk to and good luck in all your studies. Overall I would recommend a stay here, thank Alastair and Tui.

This was our fourth visit to the Dolvean and it won't be our last. The beds are comfortable, rooms spotless, great shower and everything you might need provided. The breakfasts are excellent with a good selection of cooked and continental. Shaun and Renate are the most welcoming hosts and did everything to make us feel safe during the current pandemic. Great location too for the station, the town and the beach.

Dolvean House was clean, comfortable, welcoming and all one could want for an enjoyable long weekend stay in Falmouth. Shaun and Renate are wonderful hosts. Rooms were well equipped (tea/coffee making, hairdryer, shower/bath etc) and pleasantly furnished. The breakfast was excellent. All together very good value and highly recommended.

Again we have just had a wonderful stay at Dolvean House. Current restrictions and regulations have been well managed - and the breakfast was as tasty as ever! The thing I find most appealing though is that the bed is so comfortable - almost like I am sleeping in my own.
Thank you!

As a mini coach tour driver, I get to travel thru out areas of the UK. This trip involved staying with 14 other European guests who were Touring Cornwall to visit English Gardens. The size of the property meant we were all able to be accommodated within the one site including the mini coach on site, which was a real plus for me.The accommodation was both well appointed very comfortable, and served excellent breakfasts for both continental and traditional foodies. Both Shaun & Renee are most welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. An added bonus for the guests was that Renee can speak fluent German therefore able to converse on a much more personal level, making them feel more welcomed . Ideal for small or large group as well appointed to local activities and facilities within easy walking distance. All in all a very pleasant stay, will be back again soon 10/10.

Great attention to detail, spotlessly clean throughout. Guest room fitted with high class fixtures and fittings, decorated to a high standard. Breakfast options were wide ranging and high quality, nothing was too much trouble. Shaun and Renate were friendly and very welcoming hosts. Dolvean House is conviently situated just a short walk to both beach and town.
Would definitely recommend, outstanding!!
