Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On a wet miserable Sunday in Falmouth, I popped into Jacobs Ladder Inn for something to eat. Great welcome and prompt service, lovely atmosphere and a fabulous roast dinner. Definitely recommended. Also as a solo diner I felt very comfortable and was happy to stay on for another beer and a lush desert. (White chocolate, raspberry & strawberry cheesecake) Nobody was trying to rush me and it was a really lovely experience - now to venture back out into the rain.

After climbing what seemed to be a hundred steps we arrived at Jacobs Ladder. I must say, from the outside I wasn't sure we were in the right place. It seemed dark and certainly didn't look like they served food? We were very wrong. We were served quickly and both opted for the brisket burger and it was one of the nicest burgers we'd ever had. If you're looking for a hidden gem that serves tasty food for a reasonable price you've found it! Highly recommend.

A very warm welcome awaits at this tastefully decorated pub / B and B.
We spent one night here, had a delightful dinner and entertained with a open mic acoustic evening. Our dog friendly room was cosy and exceptionally clean. We would definitely visit again.

Literally a teaspoon of leeks, cabbage and four rings of carrot. The meat was a little more and okay. It came with 4 minuscule potatoes; they were impossible to even cut with a knife - dried and cardboard. This was all served with a very light beige, tasteless gravy.
So disappointed for £12.

First time writing a negative review. Worst pizza I had in my life. Vegan pizzza with one tiny slice of vegetable per one slice? 10 pieces of mushroom and 5 pieces of eggplant on the pizza in total. The base felt like it’s not baked in oven rather dried and left to chill on the counter for few more days, hard as a stone. Loads and loads of weird tasting cheese, still cannot wash the smell from my fingers. Was super hungry so had half of that pizza but now regreting every bit of that. £3 pizzas from supermarket are much better idea. This one was £10 and was not worth even half of money we have payed for it.

Best food & hospitality in Cornwall! Absolute gem of a place. Helpful, friendly staff that genuinely care about their guests comfort & needs. Reasonable prices, and lovely cozy decor with real fire. King size double bed, loads of tv channels. Central location, above the town by 3 minute walk down the steps. Free parking just round the corner. Hope to be back in the Spring!

We booked three rooms for a quick overnighter to check out Falmouth for our son who wants to study at the Uni. All the rooms were really lovely. Comfy beds, great showers, nice biscuits!! The pub itself is really chilled and very friendly. The music is great, a lovely fire. Cool little garden and very friendly Ella behind the bar. I would totally recommend this lovely pub for a stay in Falmouth. The next morning two nice guys served us a great breakfast including an excellent vegan option. We lived in Brighton for years and this pub has that vibe. Lovely overnight stay, thanks all.

We were visiting Falmouth for the weekend and popped in for a quick drink with our dogs. It seemed to be a really friendly pub with a good mix of people and great atmosphere. Will definitely return to try out the Sunday roast!
