Be warned - don’t book this place unless you want to see really bad customer service at its finest! The ‘sea view room’ was of a grey balcony that resembles a multi storied car park. (Pictured) The restaurant had bird lime (waste) all over the windows, so the view of the sea wasn’t very nice at all. They also played loud pop music so it felt we were at Butlins. We actually considered driving home instead of staying the night because we really felt it was so horrible! They charged £22 per plate of food that was like something you’d get on a plane. I wouldn’t stay here again if you paid me money to do so. It’s packed full of bikers so probably useful stop for them but the average tourist should absolutely stay away!
Arrived at 0830 just to park for a minute and take a quick look. Grumpy man at the entrance told us we had to pay £7 to enter the parking lot for “even 30 seconds “ even though the Center was not open and no other cars were in the lot. Left in disgust rather than pay £7 to stop in an empty lot for even a minute. What a waste to have driven there for a quick look early in the morning and been greeted with such nastiness
Had a one night stay here end of May and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hotel was clean as was room. Had a great view from room 12 of the sea and the lighthouse. Beautiful walks and views around the whole area. Breakfast was lovely and staff helpful. Would love to stay again
We recently stayed here, having treated ourselves to a £250 per night 'luxury studio with sea view' for a special occasion. What the description of the hotel does not mention is the hundreds of people visiting the numerous 'tourist attractions' & shopping village right behind the hotel. The 'luxury studio' was a normal ensuite room, dark, and with shutters on our 2ft wide sea view. Opened the shutters to be greeted by 25 people literally feet from our window (and dozens more around) because you're right by the Lands End signpost and Photo Booth. No privacy whatsoever - and had to keep shutters closed as it was like a goldfish bowl with people looking in. The luxury suites are also attached to a gift shop. No mention of all the commercial tat in the hotel description. Also kept awake by the guy in room above snoring. Absolutely hated it and politely asked if we could move to any first floor room - but even at restricted Covid capacity was told not a single alternative room available. (Appreciate other rooms may not have been ready - but there would have been empty rooms which could have been readied) Trying to order coffee and cake in the restaurant in the afternoon was awful - service dreadful. The service at breakfast was good tho. The outside sea view is magnificent - but also spoiled by someone flying a drone right overhead in the afternoon - and another different person flying a drone at sunset (very close to head height for all the compulsory selfie shots). Would never stay again - and absolutely not worth £250 per night. Have never left a negative review ever, but this was just a total waste of money and misrepresented. The location itself is amazing, but completely spoiled by tacky commercial outlets.…
Just returned from a wonderful mini break at the hotel. Weather was certainly hit and miss but this made for some stunning photographs of the lighthouse. The location is absolutely stunning, but the hotel is more than just that. They have great staff who make every effort to make your stay extra special. We have been going to the hotel for about 15 years now and watched it develop.over the years..It has had many changes which were needed but now it is very special indeed with refurbished rooms to a very high standard..Its great to see members of staff who have been working there over the years and staff such as Jo and Chris are like old friends. Its good to see the new staff following their great examples..Always a special break for us at The Land's End hotel
