We had a great few days here. The room was pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast was served in the conservatory which looked out on the garden. It was cooked to perfection for me and I particularly enjoyed the mushrooms. We had great weather and Polraen was a good base to get around Cornwall. We caught the train into looe which...

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on tripadvisor. We think it's a great location too and absolutely stunning at the moment with the Looe Valley carpeted with bluebells! We hope to welcome you again.

Lovely house and garden in countryside location with off-road car park. Ideal for cyclists/kayakers. Bus stop outside, & train station an easy walk up the road. Nice accommodation, good food, and friendly, helpful hosts. What more could you ask for! Best to book direct.

We were pleasantly surprised by the location, the rooms, the friendly welcome and finally the breakfast. We were attending a family gathering in Liskeard and were looking for a hassle free place to stay within easy reach for a couple of nights. We found it!

Thanks for your review and your kind comments about Polraen. Perhaps one of our larger rooms with superking beds, and larger shower/bathrooms might have suited you better but presumably were booked already as we were full over the half term weekend. As you mention, liking a very soft or firm mattress is a matter of personal preference. The comfort of...

Thank you for your positive review and feedback. And given your expectations, I fully understand your one area of disappointment regarding the lack of evening dinner service during your stay. For the benefit of the tripadvisor community, I'd like to explain that, due to health issues, we were obliged at short notice, to cancel evening dinner service in the autumn...
