#16 of 41 Speciality lodging in Looe
Travellers' Choice
If you’re looking for a family-friendly villa in Looe, look no further than Millendreath Beach Resort. Guest villas are self catering and include a flat screen TV and free WiFi. There is a beautiful Bistro on the Beach serving fresh dishes using local produce, including breakfast each day and a Beach Bar over looking the bay which serves draught beers and cocktails. There plenty of attractions nearby, and it’s the perfect base for exploring Cornwall. Looe itself is a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk away on the stunning coastal path. All of our villas are 2 bedroom (4 berth) which vary in layout, so call to discuss your requirements. We do have 1 very special 1 bedroom villa with a super queen bed! All villas have sea views (some restricted) and have been recently refurbished. The team at Millendreath are looking forward to meeting you on your upcoming visit.

We have stayed in this area before and decided to use the Millendreath resort as our base. Chalets were fine, clean and comfortable for our stay, although there appears to be some damage to the flooring and kitchen cupboards. We have eaten at the beach restaurant over the years but, due to Covid, no inside seating was available, take away only, which was fine! The food has changed from a more 'high end' menu of past owners, to a more 'fast food' option since numerous ownership changes. This was all fine and did the job, not sure i would want an evening meal there anymore though. The one disappointment was the bar didnt open. There were lots of holiday makers on the beach and looking for refreshments as the weather was so good, but the beach bar stayed shut until Thursday 15th! (bearing in mind most people leave on a Saturday turn around!) And then it only opened from 1pm to 6pm. Lots of people we spoke too were pretty disappointed by this too, as its the only bar in walking distance of the chalets. Very strange business decision. A packed resort and beach would of been the ideal time to make some money surely!! All in all a good, pleasant stay aided by dry, sunny weather!!

My 3rd time here! I just love it, ticks all the boxes. Accommodation is clean and tidy and well equipped for self catering. The location can't be beat and the staff are amazing! I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in Cornwall. My special place. AMAZING Roni x

Lovely resort and Emma the Peter could not have been more helpful if they tried. Would definitely stay again. Unfortunately we had to leave early with the second national lockdown but was a pleasure to stay here.

Disappointed after reading previous reviews. Self check in could be improved with signage on how to found your accommodation. We were allocated our apartment number and key safe code prior to check in, but there's no signage on how to find where you are staying and the numbers are very small. Our key safe was jammed so we could not use it all weekend. This was reported to Guest Services and someone arrived swiftly to try and repair it, but couldn't and we never him again during our stay so had to carry the key with us. This wasn't a major problem, but the steep steps are a nightmare as they are so small and steep and not lit up at night, highly dangerous. One of the door bars was sticking up between the bedroom and living areas. The double bed did not have a mattress protector on it and when we had to remove the bedding at the end of our stay we noticed the mattress had horrible stains on it. There was no toilet roll holder in the bathroom and no shelf or cupboard to put any toiletries. The wifi is very poor and rarely works and the TV remote control did not work properly either, although we managed for a weekend. Some of the curtains hooks were missing on the curtains in the bedroom and living area leaving gaps and generally looked shoddy. On the plus side we had a large balcony, the beach bar is lovely and the walk into Looe is lovely and it is quiet at night. However, we felt for what we paid for this accommodation it is of a poor standard and needs some updating, and little things let it down, it definitely needs lighting on the steep stairs which are highly dangerous.
