Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in Orchard Cottage for 4 nights. The cottage was extremely comfortable, cosy and clean - also very dog-friendly. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend the cottages.

Over the years, Treworgey is the only holiday destination we have ever returned to, generally thinking that life is too short and that there is so much more of the world to see. However, Treworgey keeps drawing us back. The reasons are many: the peace, tranquility and beautiful views; the luxury and comfort of the warm, cosy cottages; knowing you will want for nothing; the proximity of wonderful beaches, exhilarating walking trails and enchanting towns and villages... As a family we have stayed in Elm and Laurel cottages and,as a couple, in Willow - all fantastic. For the children, the tennis courts and horse riding were a real bonus and as dog owners the secure gardens give us peace of mind. We know we will keep returning so we no longer feel too sad on the last day of our stay!

Been going to Treworgey since 1996 and stayed in many of the different cottages at different times of the year. There is nowhere that is inconsistent in the highest standards amongst peace and tranquility.

We’ve been staying at Treworgey at least twice a year for the last 15 years. There’s a reason for that. Well, many reasons. Critically you feel at home the moment that you walk through the door. They have thought of absolutely everything. Nothing is left to chance. Our 3 children have grown up going to Treworgey for holidays in February, Easter May and October breaks as well as at Christmas.

Excellent holiday, everything we wanted. Cottages and facilities second to none in a stunning location. Will definitely book to return. Cottages configured really cleverly especially the very private and secure gardens (we had our 2 dogs with us).

Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review following your recent stay with us. We're particularly pleased that you mention the set-up here, with each cottage having it's own private, secure garden as we feel they provide a safe environment for families with toddlers as well, of course, for our very welcome four-legged guests. Thanks again!

Orchard cottage has such a homely feel, everything is provided and we loved the welcome tray and the posies of flowers from the garden placed around the cottage. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, best night's sleep in ages and lovely fluffy towels. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for such a relaxing enjoyable stay.

A stay at Treworgey means a guarantee of a clean, organised, comfy cottage, fantastic facilities, beautiful surroundings and a helpful, friendly team. We stayed in the lovely Lois cottage which means being able to see dogs run happily in the dog paddock, bunnies literally hopping by and a visit by the local cat. Cornwall has so much to offer and Treworgey's pool was the perfect place to relax after a 12-15 mile coastal walk. Coombe Kitchen's breakfast box is a great deal on local Cornwall items. We were lucky to be there when a foraging walk through the fields was offered by foraging expert Emma. Fantastic experience that ended with tasting foraged, homemade jam and apple cake. We indulged in some lovely, relaxing treatments by Cherl - must be booked in advance. Heartily recommended after a week of walking! We keep coming back to Treworgey as it is consistent in so many things: sustainability, cleanliness, attentiveness to detail, friendliness and of course - Cornwall. Treworgey has so many cottage options - take a look and if you're lucky, there just might be availability! :)

Wonderful place, fantastic views, staff are more like family with their guests. Walks around Treworgey & if you don’t want to drive in your car anywhere you can just relax at Treworgey in the garden. There is a pool & a hot tub which was fully utilised by us. There is a garden, walks & a dog paddock for our dog which he loves, especially the walk to Leyland Farm & back to Treworgey.

This was the return to our honeymoon cottage (Hollyhock) to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary - after also returning for our 20th and 25th - so it’s always going to be a very special place for us. Having said that, everything was up to the usual high standard and there had also been some nice upgrades to the bathroom and kitchen. We booked some sessions in the spa pool for the first time which were lovely whilst also enjoying a stunning sunset over the lovely countryside views. Lovely meal on first night from Coombe kitchen - if we were being really picky it would have been nice to have some bread/crackers with the pate and some custard with the jam sponge - but as I say this is as the standard is set so high

Thank you so much for your lovely review, we are delighted that you had a great week celebrating your anniversary here once again! Thanks for the thought about your meal from Coombe Kitchen, we'll chat about it to Jane. You may well have had fresh meals from Coombe Kitchen in previous years, but as she is well over the usual retirement age, Jane has shifted to a new model for Coombe Kitchen. For the sake of others reading this - she now cooks a smaller selection of the recipes. These are made to order, then frozen and then placed in the cottage freezer prior to arrival. Doing frozen meals does limit things as perhaps she feels that she can't include fresh items that can't be prepared a week or so in advance. We'll chat to her as perhaps we need to make things clearer on our website for our guests. Thanks again for noting this. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Holly

First time we have visited Treworgey and it was everything we would want from a family holiday. We stayed in Geoff’s Barn - the garden was beautiful with a perfect eating area and stunning views during the day and dark skies in the evenings (we saw a shooting star). The barn catered for eight with plenty of room. It had everything we needed and more. Holly came to say hello when we arrived but after that we were left to get on with our holiday. Although there are a few cottages we didn’t see many others - it was always peaceful. The heated pool and spa pool was a hit with us all and we more or less had them to ourselves. The children’s play barn and playground were quite unique and a wonderful surprise for the children. Our two grandsons were ready and waiting at 8.30 each morning to help feed and care for the animals - they adored the cat that visited the garden. Both children and adults made use of the tennis courts on a regular basis. We did manage to get out and about (it is a lovely location) but it was such a good place to return to. It’s a very safe, nurturing environment - a piece of heaven on earth. A huge thank you to all the people that work there for making it a memorable holiday for our family. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whoops nearly forgot to mention the lovely walks all well signposted!
