Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a really lovely week at Dovers House. From the moment we were welcomed by fanatic host David, we felt at home. Lovely room, fabulous breakfast choice and quality (you have to try the pancakes!), amazing gardens to relax in .. I could go on, however, try for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

This lovely property with lots of outdoor space is an excellent place to stay. We had 6 nights in very comfy, clean rooms, and a breakfast second to none. With Dave looking after us and informative ,lively chat with him, what more did we need. The bus runs regularly from the gate to Looe and Polperro. We strongly recommend a stay here.

Met by our Gentleman host Dave a lovely friendly chap. Shown to our clean, cosy room in which had everything we needed with extras. Every drink you can think of with: tea ,chocolate, coffee, horlicks to mention a few and a pack of Shortbread every day. The beds were comfortable . The breakfast was superb and he makes the best poached eggs I have ever eaten. Truly one of the best B@Bs we have ever been in. THANKS DAVE.

We have been to Dovers House a couple of times. As soon as the restrictions were lifted we popped down to Looe for a short stay. David and Tina have the house ready fully prepared for social distancing - we stayed in The Bolthole, perfect as it is completed isolated from the main house and Dave brings breakfast to the room... Looe was beautiful as ever - shops and restaurants are starting to open again. We had fish and chips on the beach..

The whole ambience of Dovers House was first class, from the welcome tea and cakes when we arrived, to the attentiveness of our hosts throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble The view was outstanding and the facilities in the bedroom were of the highest standard. We will certainly return. · Very difficult to criticise near perfection.
