Sorry for the delay in writing this! Went late last summer. What a hell hole. From the outside it looked bleak and tacky. This was replicated inside. Ever heard of a fresh coat of paint? The owner (i'm guessing Sandra from reading other reviews) was rude and obnoxious. If you ask for anything she looks at you like you have asked for her kidney. The only good thing was the location. Looe is lovely town and would definitely return but would rather camp than stay here!

Good location and nice rooms with great views. Definitely looks better inside that outside as the entrance and front of the house is absolutely not cared for. Ah! Make sure you tidy up your room, make the bed and empty the cups before you go. Sandra should definitely add those things to the ‘house rules’ on Airbnb. Although the location is ok, after my experience with Sandra I would never stay there again nor recommend it to anyone. After the first night there we wanted to go as we didn’t sleep very well due to the mattress. We didn’t because we had already paid so we told Sandra about the problem and she offered to change us to another room. We really appreciated the offer and we moved to a different room. I just wonder, as a host, why would you offer that to complaint after about us changing rooms? I think that is just rude and it definitely ruined any good thing that I could have said about this place. …

What a brilliant week we had. The view was great from the window of our very clean room. Really good breakfast cooked to order by Sandra. We feel that Sandra is now a friend . Her relaxed friendly attitude made us feel at home. It is important to follow her instructions to find the Guest House but once unpacked its only a few minutes walk to town. We cant wait to visit again.

Having organised a party of anglers for a 3 day charter from Looe and booked accommodation at the Parkdene site (Looe Bay) i discovered at the last minute that they could not give us the caravan for the first night. I then set about contacting plenty of the local B & B's in Looe only to find that the standard reply was "Sorry we only take booking of a minimum 2 nights at this time of year". needless to say i was starting to panic now but the hostess, Sandra from the Kantana was more than happy to oblige us and what a result. I found the landlady very pleasant over the phone even more so when we met she couldnt do enough for us. She even got up extra early to feed us as the boat was leaving earlier in the morning. Full english with cereals and toast and plenty of coffee got us fed and watered for the day. Rooms were very clean and tidy as was the bathroom. The hospitality was deeply appreciated by all in the party. So Sandra and Steve please give yourselves a hearty pat on the back. Suffice to say if i ever need a bed in Looe inthe future you will be fist on the hit list. Many thanks Steve , Hoss , Dave and Mick from Southampton.…

We booked a quick weekend away last minute. Sandra & Steve were wonderful hosts. We had a rear facing quite room, very clean and comfortable. The full English breakfast is very good and very filling, also plenty of tea, toast & cereals. The b&b is a short walk into Looe, there is a big carpark across the road, which is £5.50 for 24 hours. We try and get away as often as we can and will most certainly be going back to the Kantana. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Looe.

We have stayed with Sandra at Kantana many times. She gives you a really warm welcome every time, which makes returning really easy. Her rooms are clean, comfy and very well appointed. If you need anything to make your stay even better, just ask and she'll do her best to accommodate you. Her breakfasts are lovely, and plentiful. Whether you are planning a weekend break or a whole week/fortnight, Kantana is just right. It's only a short walk from the town where there are friendly pubs and lots of interesting places to eat. Yes, we'll be back as Sandra is now a really good friend.

We spent three nights at the Kantana Guest House from the 9th to 12th September and stayed in an en-suite room overlooking the estuary which was very clean and comfortable with tv, radion and tea and coffee facilities. We were able to safely park our car in the Millpool public car park opposite. Sandra made us so welcome right from the start and for the whole of our stay. She provides very good breakfasts which were well appreciated! The guest house is a minute walk into Looe and we will definitely be staying again. Highly recommended. Linda and Pete
