This is our 4th stay at Fox Valley and every stayed it has been amazing. This is a little piece of heaven in beautiful Cornwall. Gorgeous, clean, and very well equipped cottages. Terri, Chris, girls and staff clearly put their hearts and souls into this place. We have enjoyed it so much every time we have stayed. So peaceful and relaxing. High recommended.
This was our 2nd stay and it didn't disappoint. We were very lucky with the week we picked as it was quiet so had exclusive use of the pool facilities. The hosts and staff are friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is great for visiting and we weren't short of day trips. The accommodation was clean and tidy, our only suggestion would be new pillows or 3 rather than 2 as they were a bit flat, but that wasn't enough to downgrade the score as everything else more than made up for it!
Fox Valley Cottages was perfect. Wonderfully clean with great facilities. Excellent for children and dogs, especially loved that there’s a swimming pool on site which we used most days. We’ve already booked to go back next year which speaks for itself.
We have been to Fox Valley Cottages quite a few times and it just gets better and better. Terri and Chris go over and above to make you feel welcome and are so helpful. We have already booked for next year and are counting down the days until we are back 😀
This was my 3rd visit to fox valley, every time we stayed,we never want to leave.5star accommodation,in our opinion.clean, high quality, beds+bedding. Cottages set in adlick surroundings, swimming pool, hot tub, complex proprietors, are Terri& Chris, the most welcoming helpfull, friendly couple,we have ever met. Highly desirable, location, suitable for dogs, children. The only trouble with staying here at any time of year,is you won't want to leave..
We spent a week in “Linney” in October half term and didn’t want to leave! The cottage had everything we could have needed and was spotless. The swimming pool was great with timed slots so you could have it to yourself, we certainly made the most of this! The hosts were helpful and went out of their way to make sure was OK. We will definitely be returning!
Great stay at Fox Valley between Looe and Polperro we loved the pool hot tub and Sauna we had a relaxing week for our anniversary we will recommend to our friends and will definitely return next year thank you lovely grounds Karen and Tony
Information on booking and checking in was well organised with lots of detail prior to arrival. Staying 4 nights in Eyrie cottage, we arrived to a cream tea treat! The surrounding area is lovely countryside and the cottages are fresh and clean with all 'home from home' needs. The grounds and pool area are kept immaculate. Pet friendly at the cottages we felt very welcome, we would recommend and look forward to visiting again. Thank you to all the team at Fox Valley Cottages
This was our second visit to Fox Valley which is saying something because my husband doesn’t usually go anywhere more than once! Nestled at the bottom of the valley down a leafy single track lane, it’s got everything you could need - comfy cottages, a swimming pool and hot tub, beautiful views, and this year they have thoughtfully added even more things to explore. There’s a wildflower meadow, buzzing with insects, and a little wooden playhouse for small children that Bilbo Baggins would be proud of! There are large, safe grounds for children to explore, and a special field to walk your dog which is completely fenced off so you can let them off the lead very securely. The views are spectacular, from the new swing at the top of the field you can see to the sea and Fowey, which is well worth a visit. If you’re a dog owner there is lots to welcome you. Dog towels, a dog wash, a dog field, (with comfy benches to sit and look over the valley), and dog sitting facilities nearby. If you’re a book lover there is Fowey nearby and the lovely bookshop Shrew Books, which has a well curated selection including political, nature, historical and general fiction. There is a second hand section and a small gift section too. Also nearby is Lerryn, which inspired Kenneth Graeme to write Wind in the Willows. He stayed in Fowey and visited Lerryn by boat. There are stepping stones over the wide shallow river which children will love. It’s well worth a visit and the Ship Inn at Lerryn is excellent - the curries are a speciality. Fox Valley is also within an hour of Plymouth if you fancy a walk around the Barbican with its selection of individual shops and the Hoe where you can see the old Eddystone Lighthouse which has been moved to the Hoe. Looe is another great place to visit, we bought a plaice for tea from Pengelly’s on the harbour front which was amazing, we took it back to our cottage and baked it with lemon, garlic, new potatoes and tomatoes - delicious, and way better than supermarket fish. Or you can ring the local take away and they will deliver to your cottage. We did, and Peking Garden did us a lovely meal. So, whether you just want to walk out from Fox Valley or explore further afield, there’s everything you need to enjoy what Cornwall has to offer.…
Had a lovely week here in half term this October, the cottages were very well equipped and comfortable, the owners left us a cream tea and sweets for the kids for Halloween which was o lovely welcome. The swimming pool and hot tub were a lovely addition to our stay, very clean and well organised during Covid restrictions. Beautiful gardens and a lovely dog enclosure on site.
