Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just perfect in every way. Located in a beautiful secluded valley, the lodges provide excellent accommodation, very comfortable with every need catered for. The hot tub was a new experience for me and highly recommended. Very dog friendly. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

My sister her husband and I stayed at the Gillifower lodge. We were welcomed with a cream tea each and the accommodation was excellent so clean and spacious. My bedroom had a lovely babbling stream next to it which was so relaxing at night. The upstairs bedroom had a lovely balcony which overlooked the countryside. We are walkers so we went on lots of walks to nearby villages which was ideal for us but also very central for driving to lots of attractions. The owners are very welcoming , Keith was very friendly and chatty , The hot tub was excellent especially after a days walking. We would definitely recommend this place for a wonderful relaxing holiday.

First class lodge for our first dog friendly holiday, set by stream (dog can paddle) enclosed in own grounds. Exceptional cleanliness, spotless. Small privately run; everything you need; hand wash, sanitizers, fluffy bath towels, spa bath, good shower, all cooking amenities plus dish washer tabs, bin bags, W-up liq, washing line, pegs, tea towel, salt/pepper, supplied milk, scones, jam, clotted cream on arrival. Games room with bats, balls for table tennis and pool. Children’s play area, badminton court with rackets. Woodland and dog walk. These owners have thought of everything, they have clearly put themselves in our shoes and are commended. Thank you. An excellent find.

We have just returned from Christmas and new year in the Gilliflower Villa. Everything was first class. The accommodation is superb, equipped to the highest standard. The kitchen equipment is as good as you’d have at home. We had the bonus of the hot tub and enjoyed watching the stars and hearing the owls in the evening! The television also has Netflix which was a bonus. We chose not to explore too far due to coronavirus but we were very happy relaxing in the lodge and enjoying the location and watching the wildlife nearby including deer, buzzards, sheep, birds, ducks etc Thank you so much Keith, Denise and Brian. We will be back as soon as we can!!! Best wishes and stay safe

Had a fantastic short break at Valley brook. Accommodation was top notch and spotless. The cream tea on our arrival in the lodge was most welcome as was the well thought out information pack. The on site walks and dog exercise paddock were a god send for our two hounds to burn off some energy. Valleybook is ideally located to head out and visit the area and will definitely be going back in 2021.

We spent a week here, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Fantastic, clean, comfortable accommodation with great facilities on site. Felt like a home from home but with scones and clotted cream! Location is perfect, beautiful and ideal for visiting both Polperro and Looe. We had a relaxing family break with the dogs enjoying it too. The pooches particularly loved the paddock and walks. Have to say the owners have done fantastic at meeting gov guidelines re Covid whilst also keeping great communication too. We hope to return in the not so distant future. Thank you for a fantastic break, just what we needed ready for the next lockdown.

Returned yet again to Valleybrook. it was I place where I knew we would feel safe and relaxed at this difficult time. It is secluded but not far from Looe and the attention to detail on cleanliness at this difficult time is second to none. Everything you could need is there waiting for you including a Cornish Cream Tea on arrival! . Thank you

I traveled with my wife, step-daughter, step daughter's boyfriend and their small dog to Valleybrook Holidays site at Lansallos. We had a lovely week in Bramley Cottage. The cottage was a good size and had a nice garden at the back. It was ideal for us. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed in the cottage. We were greeted on arrival and there was a cream tea waiting for us in the cottage. All of the instructions, advice and guidance were clear and very helpful. The whole set up was very in tune with the the Covid-19 requirements and we all felt very "Covid safe" while we were there. The location is remote and definitely requires a car. It is within very easy driving reach of Looe, Polperro and Fowey and close to some more secluded beaches. We visited Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey, Tintagel, Eden Project and Plymouth, all of which were around an hours drive. I highly recommend Valleybrook Holidays. I felt it was very good value.
