Amazing hosts friendly, informative, and would do anything to make your stay good. Rooms are modern and have absolutely everything you could possibly need, face wipes, cotton wool, biscuits, drinks, fresh milk. Breakfast was the best i’ve ever had, so many things to choose from, toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, overnight oats, full english, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, baked beans were home made and the best we have ever tasted. We will definitely be back.

Recently returned from a two night stay at Schooner Point. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Paula and Tom and were made to feel very welcome . We stayed in the foredeck with its stunning views, the room was immaculate with a fantastic en-suite and little extras to make you feel right at home. The breakfast consisted of quality ingredients which was very well cooked not to mention the homemade beans and banana loaf. We can't recommend schooner point highly enough and when we're in looe again we'd love to stay and for longer this time.

We chose to stay at Schooner Point because of the rave reviews and hoped the B & B would meet our expectations.

On arrival, we (luckily) left our car in the (one) parking space allocated at the rear of the B & B. The Access from the
back entrance involved a steep decent down several steps to a concrete path, around the side of the property and
up a few steps to the front door, which we found quite difficult and demanding to navigate when carrying luggage.

Once we had successfully found the front door, we received a very warm welcome from hosts Tom and Paula.

Our room (Foredeck) was immaculately clean, comfortable and contemporary yet characterful with a feature fireplace
and beautiful bay window, which showcased the spectacular views of Looe, the estuary and surrounding countryside.
The en-suite was immaculate in both presentation and cleanliness and super spacious with all everyday essentials and little luxuries included.

Breakfast was served in the fabulous front dining room overlooking the river and beheld a beautiful banquet and bounty of delicious delights, starting with a super selection of cereals, homemade overnight oats, fresh fruit salad, stewed fruits and fruit compote, followed by a (spoilt for) choice of breakfasts cooked to order.
After much dithering and deliberation, we (finally) opted for the full English with home made beans, which was absolutely excellent and cooked to perfection on each and every morning, throughout our three night holiday.

Tom and Paula were extremely amiable and accommodating and after advising that they previously lived and worked in our area before relocation, off we all went down memory lane to reminisce about the good (& bad) old days.
They provided us with a wealth of information from tourist attractions (such as Lerryn) and excellent eateries (hand
battered fish & chips at Salutation Inn, Looe and Inkies Smokehouse at Golitha Falls.

Thank You! Tom & Paula for an extra special stay.

Andy & Joy, Gloucester.

Thank you for mentioning the access to the rear of the property, as it is not our intention to cause guests difficulty getting to the property. The access statement on our website does detail this but it is often overlooked. We are so pleased that we could be of help with our local knowledge and that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to seeing you again.

This is my second visit to this beautiful homely b&b Tom and Paula always make you feel so welcome with their friendly warm welcoming ways. It’s like home from home. They always make you feel very welcome and their local knowledge is second to none. I would highly recommend their pack lunches. Well priced and again of good quality and lots of selection. The room we stayed in was very clean classy and well equipped from usb plugs to hairdryer to hair and shampoo (good quality). The view was also postcard quality. The breakfasts were amazing between my sister and I we tried a few of the specials and also the Cornish breakfast. All the food served was lovely and of high quality and plentiful. The sausages, hogs pudding and bacon tasted expensive and are sourced locally. Just everything about this place is lovely. If visiting Looe you will be silly not to book this place! Will be revisiting next year! Thank you again Tom and Paula our new Cornish parents lol xx

It was a joy to welcome you back to Schooner Point Lindsey-Anne and thank you for brining your sister Danielle with you. It was a pleasure and fun to have the two of you in our company. We are delighted that our Foredeck Room , newly increased breakfast choices and packed lunches met your expectation and thank you for telling people about us by way of your review, it really is greatly appreciated. You taught us something while here and that was The Pasty Challenge, something that Tom will want to have a go at, a pasty from as many bakeries as you can manage. Thank you so much for your recommendation and we are already looking forward to seeing you both next year.

We decided to treat ourselves as we usually self cater. We decided to give Schooner Point a try. When looking at the reviews it was a straight 100% excellent. Having read the reviews our minds were made up. Yes totally agree this was a 110% experience. We would like to give a massive thank you to Paula and Tom, who worked so very incredibly hard to make our long awaited holiday so wonderful. We choose the Foredeck Room which had a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. The room had plenty of storage and the bathroom was a good size with walk-in shower with supplies of body wash shampoo, conditioner and bathrobes and slippers if you needed them. The view from our room was so scenic both in the day and evening. Plentiful supplies of coffee and various teas and hot chocolate and fresh water plus a storage jar of biscuits. The bed was so comfortable with lovely soft pillows, and we both slept very well. There was a good choice at breakfast ranging from fresh fruit, honey yoghurt, compote and various breakfast cereals, fresh juices. As well as the full English option Paula and Tom also offered breakfast specials such as smoked salmon muffins, and vegetarian/vegan options, washed down with plentiful pots of tea and fresh filtered coffee. Paula and Tom were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to suggest ideas for days out and even researched the timetables for the local train service. They both had excellent knowledge of the local and surrounding areas. We arrived as guests but left as friends. We will definitely be returning.

We had the pleasure of staying at Schooner Point for 3 nights and it was the perfect stay. The location is wonderful and so close to the main town and beach that we were able to walk down and watch the sunrise before breakfast. We stayed in The Lookout and the room was wonderful, incredible views, the most comfortable bed and everything you need including fresh milk. Paula and Tom were fantastic hosts, gave us some great tips and recommendations on walks and places to go, and cooked us the most wonderful breakfast each morning, the homemade beans were fantastic! I felt sad to leave 😔 but we will definitely be back. Thank you for making my first visit to Cornwall such a wonderful one 🫶

As a frequent walker and solo traveller, I have had the privilege of staying at Schooner Point Guest House for a seventh year in a row now. The owners, Paula and Tom, always give the most tremendous hospitality and ensure that every part of the stay is 5 stars. From the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, to the best breakfast served in the whole of Cornwall with Paula’s homemade beans and locally sourced hogs pudding! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in Looe and its beautiful surrounding areas. Look forward to returning!

I don't think I have ever left a review before for any holiday, I normally forget too quickly and then things get in the way, so I hope this speaks volumes! Paula and Tom were amazing hosts, always on hand for travel advice, sightseeing information or just a safety pin to pin back a dress! I can't speak highly enough of them, from the first minute they were open, friendly and full of enthusiasm not just for Cornwall but for us as guests as well. It goes a long way when you're made to feel appreciated and not as just another cheque. We were in the Anchorage Room which was perfectly sized, had a genuinely comfy bed (appreciated every night after so much walking/climbing) and a light airy bathroom with fluffy towels (again very much appreciated). Breakfast was fantastic and perfectly portioned, and I believe adjusted slightly for a small eater and the biscuit jar in the room was thankfully kept full! I really cannot do more than fully recommend Schooner Point to all visitors to Looe!
The location is great, we travelled around a lot but for anyone who wishes to stay more local there are plenty of restaurants in Looe and Polperro is just 5 minutes down the road.
We with both Tom and Paula all the best and look forward to staying again in the future!
Scott and Daisy.

WOW. We are just back from a 3 night stay at the Schooner Point Guest House and could have so easily stayed longer. We were greeted by Tom who ran through everything and a hello from Paula who was busy in the kitchen making home made muffins for breakfast the next day. We were shown to our room which was beautifully decorated with plenty of storage. All the furniture is contemporary oak and all in an immaculate condition including a proper dressing table with mirror and stool. The room was spacious and had a lovely comfortable bed and chairs and table in the big bay window. The bathroom was really lovely with an amazing shower. We were also provided with full size bottles of shower gel and shampoo etc. We were provided with robes, slippers, tea and coffee along with a daily top up of biscuits and a large bottle of water. There is a book case filled with books, maps of Cornwall and leaflets along with games for a rainy day or early evening in our room. We had the most beautiful view across to the river to the left and harbour to the right. Breakfast was a real treat. Served in a lovely breakfast room looking out to the view of the river and town. Fresh fruit salad, yogurt, fruit compote and honey. Several cereals in glass jars rather than those silly little boxes. We had a choice of fruit juices which we served ourselves and had pots of tea and coffee made to order. Paula made muffins which she thought weren't up to scratch, but take no notice, her cooking is so good. Tom waited on us brilliantly while Paula cooked a traditional Cornish breakfast to order all without a microwave "ping". We could have any combination of cooked breakfast and nothing was too much trouble all followed by a cheeky muffin or pastry. Schooner Point has a great front garden and decked area with seating which is perfect for taking in the breath taking views. Paula & Tom are the perfect hosts who have created a wonderful guest house experience. Their local knowledge of the area is invaluable, giving us ideas of places to visit and eat. Really worth asking them for ideas before heading out to discover Looe if you've not been before. We can't recommend them and the Schooner Point highly enough. You will not be disappointed. Thank you to you both xx

Absolutely wonderful. We stayed for one night recently and were made so welcome. The room was immaculate with a huge and very comfortable bed. Egyptian cotton sheets and an amazing view of the estuary. There were so many little touches within the room to make us comfortable and huge fluffy towels and robes in the bathroom. The breakfast the following day was perfect. Really good quality produce and attractively served. We would definitely recommend staying at this gorgeous guest house. The owners were so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!
