Great gym and pool. The Spa was also really nice. The therapist was lovely and very helpful. You can get a day pass here and worth it. I would highly recommend on a wet day in Looe. Great views too from the restaurant.

Excellent hotel, food, facilities. The staff and service was excellent. Good value for money and the hotel spa beautician was amazing - her name was Lara! We will definitely be coming back again soon.

The usual superb stay at the Hannaford Point Hotel. Friendly staff, lovely room , clean and comfy - thankyou for the free upgrade with a beautiful sea view. Great breakfast and ideally placed to explore Looe and SE Cornwall. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a great stay at this hotel.The staff couldn't do any more for us, they were brilliant- especially Daniel the waiter, Debbie the waitress and Laura from the spa. Reception staff were very helpful too. Food for both the evening meal and breakfast was outstanding and the hotel itself was in a fabulous location. Looking forward to returning again soon.

We have visited this hotel for over 10 years now so I feel I am well justified to provide an honest review. The hotel to stay as long as you select the right room is very comfortable and the upgraded rooms are excellent. I wouldn’t personally want to stay in the old side or back rooms as they are dated but that’s my personal opinion. It’s a large hotel and I appreciate it would take fortunes to upgrade all rooms to modern standards. Having visited as paying guests and as customers to use the facilities my review is as below, The hotel is making some very positive changes to the bar area for instance and the new decking area revamp is lovely. You can’t get a better spot in Looe for an afternoon drink during the summer months. When staying at the hotel you have access to the spa although is very good in theory the upkeep isn’t the best along with the gym which has very old equipment and isn’t managed. Don’t expect anything too much with the spa. It’s potential is huge but very badly run and serviced. The food in the bar area is extremely hit and miss. Order on any given day and you could have a great meal but go again and order the same thing and it will be dreadful. We have been served awful food as well as very good food so not sure what to report on this. The sad thing is we have aired on caution and decided not to eat there at all due to not knowing who will be cooking that day/night. The staff . We would like to give a huge thank you to Phil who is a real gentleman and a great guy who deserves the highest accolade. He is a total professional and we look on him as a friend. This goes also to Amy ,Charlie, Lavinia,Jude who are so welcoming. Thank you all. As the owner of the hotel who may or may not read this review or very much care but he needs to lead by example. We have recently checked in when he was in reception and he didn’t even have the energy to look up and acknowledge us. Not good Mr B when we are regularly giving you a grand a week to use your facilities. Lead by example and don’t let this rudeness and lack of professionalism rub off on other staff !!! Thank you for your review. I particularly thank you for your recognition of our staff. I am sorry that you find the food hit and miss. We have had some issues over the last 18 months since the pandemic as have most catering establishments, not least because of staffing issues which is widely reported elsewhere. We have however worked extremely hard to get over those problems and generally find feedback is now very good as can be seen elsewhere on this site. I do take exception to the suggestion that as the owner I do not care or take the time to read reviews.( You will see on this site that clearly I do as I respond to them and address the feedback.) I have not been down to the hotel for over two weeks now however If I was present in the office at the time of your arrival I am sorry if I did not notice you however I would have been dealing with specific matters requiring my concentration whilst also being aware that our reception staff were present and welcoming arrivals. To suggest this demonstrates either rudeness or lack of professionalism frankly is inappropriate. Having been working in our industry for 50 years and still doing so on a daily basis should indicative of my commitment .

Great hotel in brilliant location. Polperro walk at one end of the road and Looe centre just a short walk the other way. Ideal, what more can I say. When I arrived, I was given an upgraded room as it appeared to be a quiet period. My room was surprisingly lovely which enhanced my stay. The amenities were very good and the breakfast was good. If I decide to visit Looe again, I would only consider staying at this hotel. Nothing matches it!

Excellent hotel, stayed for two nights, and wished it was more. Had room 620, large double with balcony and sea view. Furnished to a high standard, with two chairs and a table making a nice seating area, large bathroom, might be a problem for someone not very agile as the bath was quite high, the shower was in the bath. Two restaurants, one formal, where we had breakfast, which was very good, lovely service by a lady who couldn't do enough for you. The other restaurant was a bistro, we had two evening meals and one lunch here. The food was again very good, and you could see the chef spent time on the presentation of food, making it even more enjoyable. Special thanks to Ruben, Daniel and Melissa, and all the other staff members that we met, but didn't get their names. The staff are a credit, very polite and attentive. Didn't use it but the swimming pool looked very inviting, will take my swimsuit next time. All in all a great place with fabulous views and high quality service and food. …

Amazing view on a lovely warm October Saturday afternoon for drinks and afternoon tea, the staff were lovely and prices for a hotel were really good too. We booked for the Sunday carvery and that was delicious! Cannot wait to go back.

I have heard some good reviews about Sunday Lunch here, so we decided to go for lunch whilst watching the swim that was scheduled today at Looe Island (St George's Island). The experience was second to none, in my opinion, from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming staff. Great sea view table, which I'm sure is in great demand and we were very lucky to be able to book such an uninterrupted view. The restaurant is light, airy and plenty of room. There are a few steps up to the restaurant itself. The food was delicious, it was a carvery and the choice was lovely. I had pork, with cracking, my family had beef. All cooked beautifully. If you haven't tried the restaurant, do, it's reasonably priced and worth every penny. The hotel is dog friendly, but not in the restaurant itself, but you can get a great service from the bar.
