Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We only stayed for a few days but wished it was longer. A lovely welcome from Janine and Paul, beautiful room with unrivalled view of the estuary. Wonderful comfy bed and the pillows were superb. We were made so very comfortable. Will definitely go again for longer next time.

What a great little find. Just got back from a wonderful few days in this lovely B&B and just can’t find a fault with it. It’s in the perfect position, parking right outside, walking distance to bus stop, train station and town and all on the flat. The house was spotlessly clean, you could smell it as soon as you walked in, it had a homely feel about it. Our room was no different with crispy white sheets and towels, lovely comfy bed, nice TV and plenty of supplies of tea, coffee etc. Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for Jan and her husband who ran it, both were so friendly. Can’t wait to go back

Spent a few nights here in June. Room was clean and tidy. Hosts were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was really good. Just across the river from the shops, bars and restaurants. We liked the walk around and over the bridge but there is a ferry (water taxi) that you can get across if required for a £1.

Room Tip: Parking is included which is a bonus as people we met were paying £10 a day for parking.

What a great place to stay! It is not a five star international hotel, it is a small, very personalised guest house located right on the riverfront in a very typical Cornish fishing village. The rooms a not large but are very comfortable. Our room overlooked the water so we were able to see the activity around the docks and see the tide rise and fall from the comfort of our rooms. Our hosts Janie and Paul went out of their way to make us welcome and to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Breakfasts were amazing. Big English breakfast was cooked to your liking or a continental breakfast was available. Everything we needed was within close walking distance, shopping, restaurants, beach and riverside walks. The parking out front was a bonus given the narrow streets and general lack of parking nearby. We would recommend this Guesthouse and would stay there again if we were back in the UK.

Great location with a beautiful view of the harbour from the room window. Comfortable room with everything you need. The hosts were really friendly and attentive with booking to checking out. The breakfast was really tasty and a relaxed atmosphere. Parking outside the front of the accommodation which was really useful. Shops, cafes, pubs, beach all within a short walking distance. We would definitely come back! Highly recommended 😊
