We was welcomed by Donna and David, the owners of the guesthouse, they were so lovely, helpful and welcoming! We had x2 rooms booked, they had separate bathrooms (1 opposite one room and the other just a short walk around the corner- both had keys so was able to lock the bathrooms). Our bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, clean and modern with lots of facilities! Plus the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with a good amount of choice and all food was freshly made. Donna and David were brilliant hosts and made our stay a great one! They gave us great recommendations and tips about looe and other villages around, they were always up for a chat!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, will definitely recommend the degawny to friends and family, and anyone else! Thank you Donna and David!

We spent 6 nights in the Deganwy Hotel, as soon as we arrived we where made to feel very welcome by the owners Donna and Dave. We where shown to our room which was spotlessly clean and decorated to a high standard and over looking the estuary and the wooded hills beyond a very stunning view, our bed was situated so we could lay in bed in the morning and look down the estuary.
The host Donna and Dave could not do enough for us, as we visited in covid times and didnt have some restaurants booked Donna kindly rang around to get us some reservations.
Dave was a great cook, breakfast was delicious and had many options on the menu but would always accommodate whichever combination you wished for, the food was always cooked fresh and piping hot, the best SCRAMBLED EGG i have tasted.
We spent every night in the lounge which again was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated . Donna and Dave would join the quest for drinks in the evening and would get to know their guest and made us feel like we where at home, lots of laughter happened and of course social distancing, and a very well stocked bar,
Nothing was to much trouble for these lovely hosts, we have left making some we good friends and our stay was that good we have booked again to stay next year before we even left.
Thank You Donna & Dave for a great stay hopefully see you soon Clare & Tony.

We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel is centrally located overlooking the estuary, free parking and the breakfast is superb with plenty of choice (inc smoked salmon on the menu!),freshly cooked with quality ingredients. Donna and Dave made sure that everything was perfect and nothing was any trouble. They made us feel more than welcome. The guest house itself is immaculate and all the amenities you need and you will not be disappointed with anything. There is a lounge / bar which was always busy and nice to relax with other guests and hosts at the end of the day. I would certainly book here again, without exception .

We have just returned from a seven night stay with David & Donna at Deganwy hotel, Looe and what a fantastic time we have had! I can quite honestly say that I have never felt so welcomed as I have this week.
Nothing was too much trouble and they were extremely helpful and did everything they could to make our stay a memorable one!
I proposed to my partner this week (she said yes by the way ☺️) and David & Donna very kindly congratulated us with a bottle of bubbly on the house.
David’s breakfast is truly out of this world and all ingredients are locally sourced and of the highest quality.
The views from the rooms are outstanding and the cleanliness/ hygiene throughout our stay was spot on (all COVID guidelines adhered to)
One MAJOR plus with this hotel is the free parking which is only a few minutes from the town centre, without this you would almost definitely waste hours of your stay trying to find parking, never mind the additional costs.
We loved the place so much we have already booked to stay again next year!
I cannot recommend this Hotel enough!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was lovely, the newly refurbished bathroom was beautiful, and the views over the harbour were just a treat to wake up to. The location was excellent - we had no idea when we booked just how close to everything we would be, and I should add that the free allocated car parking space offered with our booking was a huge selling point for us, and made everything so much easier. David and Donna were fantastic hosts - so warm and welcoming, accommodating of every need and request. They were very conscious of the current Covid guidance, making sure everyone felt safe, happy and comfortable. We would absolutely choose to stay here again the next time we come on holiday to Looe. Thank you!

We arrived earlier than expected and was made immediately welcome by David and Donna. Our gorgeous room overlooked the estuary and wooded valley and we spent many moments looking at the stunning view and watching the sunsets reflecting on the water.
We love wildlife and were lucky enough to spot and watch a Kingfisher.
The pubs, town and beach were all within a few minutes walk. We recommend the Globe and Black Swan. Many evenings were spent either on the terrace or in the lounge, drink in hand, enjoying the company of other guests and admiring the views. There was much laughter in those evenings, even with social distancing. needed during these trying times.
Donna & David are outstanding hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the house kept spotlessly clean and sanitised.
Breakfasts were cooked fresh to order and were delicious. I did not want to leave.
Thank you Donna and David, we will be back! Emma & Danny x

We had a lovely week staying with Donna and David, the hotel was very clean and Covid safe. The room was very comfortable with an en suite and nothing was too much trouble for Donna and David they made sure we had got everything we needed. There was also private parking which was a bonus. David cooked a lovely breakfast every morning and the service by Donna was excellent. We enjoyed having a drink on our return at night with our hosts and other guests. We would definitely recommend this guest house to other people.

From the moment you arrive you are made to feel like family. Dave & Donna are one of the most friendliest couples we have met. Nothing is too much trouble.
Breakfast is to die for & despite covid restrictions carrying on, you still get a large selection to choose from & all cooked fresh to order.
We had bedroom 4 - beautiful views across the river - we didn’t shut our curtains all week - such a delight to wake up to that view.
Location couldn’t be better just a short walk through looe to the beach.
Want to know where to eat ask Dave (he’s the font of all knowledge).
Don’t stay here if you don’t have a sense of humour as Dave tells the worst jokes lol.
Could say more but don’t want to boost Dave’s ego much more lol.
Thank you so much for giving us a fantastic week & planning the weather so well for us.

We have just got home after a fabulous stay at The Deganwy Hotel. We were warmly greeted by the owners David and Donna who instanty made us feel at home, even though we arrived earlier than expected our room was ready and through out our stay nothing was too much trouble for them, they go over and above what wld be expected. Their knowledge of the local area, restaurants, walks etc was superb and they came up with great suggestions. The whole atmosphere was so lovely as all the guests were obviously so happy. Location was fabulous and incudes car parking too. We had a wonderful sea view room. Breakfast is included and was amazing with top quality ingredients freshly cooked to order. We cant wait to go back.
