Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We just had one night here when we came up for a wedding. Donna made us welcome right from the start, we felt right at home. The room was lovely and clean and airy with a gorgeous view of the river. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made, and a decent choice. There are steps up to the front door and my knees weren't too keen on all the stairs so I'd request a lower floor if we came again but that's literally the only downside to this lovely place. Close to everything Looe has to offer, including the taxi rank (book one in advance though if you can they're hard to pin down). I'll recommend this guest house to everyone who asks!

The location is ideal, just a stone's throw from the shops pubs restaurants and beach it is brilliantly situated with amazing views and free car parking. Donna is a great host, very warm and friendly, and made us a welcome pot of tea on arrival. Breakfast was delicious we highly recommend the full Welsh!

The owner, Donna, went our of her way to make my parents stay comfortable and easy. The breakfasts were excellent and great views from the guest lounge and breakfast room. Front facing rooms also have great views. It does have a steep slope and a few steps to the front door, but we had help with the cases and my parents in their 80's coped well. A great location by the bridge enabling access to the harbor and beach. A bus stop is right outside, which has good connections to Plymouth and other towns nearby. The train station is a short walk away. Parking can be tricky, but guests can have a pass for the permit car park (subject to availability) and Mill Pond Car park is about 15 minutes walk away (over the bridge)

Beautifully located Guest House with views of the Looe Estuary ( as described by the owners!!). We had a wonderfully chilled stay of 3 nights. Car parking is about 200 yards up the road in an allocated space which was very convenient. Didn’t move the car for 3 days as everything we wanted was within walking distance including the beach and coast path. Donna was always there if needed. Breakfast was a delight with a great choice. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxing break in Looe.

Some sites say parking. You may as well park in the car parks as this place has none, or they may try and squeeze you into a council allocated space just as far away. It's not a hotel, it's a guest house with the usual rules and regs. It's also a view of a river, not seaview. Limited mobility guests may dislike the steep slope. Shame the owners don't accurately describe it. Don't take food to your room! They are always watching ! Otherwise was comfy enough but not for us.

We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely, warm, and friendly guest house during our holiday in July this year. Donna was a fabulous hotelier, very friendly, very helpful, and very welcoming. The rooms were always cleaned after guests. There was a good choice of breakfasts, and if you needed an earlier breakfast for the following morning, you only needed to let Donna know, and she would have it ready for you. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone, and we hope to return one day. Great views from the front of the house, too, overlooking the Harbour. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely hotel. 😍

We absolutely loved our stay at Deganwy Hotel! It was a perfect location just a very short stroll to the main high street and not far from the nearest beach. The room was lovely, cosy and very clean. It had perfect storage (wardrobe & draws) to keep everything tidy and organised. The bed was very comfortable and the TV had Netflix two big bonuses for us. Breakfast was outstanding great options and amazing quality. Honestly nothing negative to say about the place, really couldn’t fault it! Overall great stay, Donna is an amazing host who really goes above and beyond for her guests!

This place is a little gem in Looe. It is a great location overlooking the estuary and 2 minutes stroll from the centre. Donna makes you feel so welcome and her little dog Mia is the cutest thing. Breakfast is amazing and you can have whatever you like. Would highly recommend.
