Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Watermark 15th February 2024 and were made to feel very welcome by Natacsha and Richard. We managed to navigate all the steps from the car park which was okay but may be challenging for the less able bodied. Our room was very comfortable with a fabulous view overlooking the harbour. We had a fantastic walk down to the harbour visiting The Jolly Sailor Inn for a drink and evening meal although the weather was awful rain and fog it did not dampen our spirits. We returned to The Watermark early evening and played Scrabble and had a drink from the honesty bar a thoroughly enjoyable evening whilst listening to the wind, rain and sea. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean and a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. Tea, coffee and chocolate making facilities were available. A seating area inside thebroom overlooking the outside balcony which we used the following sunny morning. The bed and quilt were lovely and comfy, bottled water and a chocolate either side of the bed was a nice touch and we had a great night's sleep. Ensuite facilities were more than adequate although it took a while to get the shower working to a hot temperature but we got it sorted in the end. Breakfast overlooking the harbour was wonderful orange juice, tea, coffee, toast and fresh smoked haddock with two poached eggs presented beautifully. Full breakfast was also available o spoilt for choice! In the morning we walked down to the harbour and completed about 6,000 steps a healthy start to the day. We had a fabulous stay and would thoroughly recommend a stay at The Watermark. Thank you Natacsha and Richard for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome. Lesley and Jon Bradburn x

Well equipped room with the most beautiful view of Looe. The hosts were lovely, breakfasts great. Lovely stroll into the village and to the beach. Would definitely recommend this family run small, but beautifully formed hotel.

Great stay with two great hosts. Food was superb and the bar arrangements are second to none. Beds are comfortable and the views are the best in Looe. Would highly recommend a stay at the watermark. Also best value for money.

The location to town with parking was great but the best part was the view from our room and dining area just fantastic, we also had a fab evening meal at the Watermark and breakfast was a high standard. We walked round to the kiosk, turn right from hotel and lunch was excellent.

A return stay for us which shows how good this place is. Parking provided, which is rare for Looe, and which is something that matters to us. This visit was the Tamar Room and the room was absolutely beautiful with stunning views over the beach and sea and can be seen lying down in bed. Lovely bathroom with walk in shower and really comfortable bed. Natascha and Richard are the perfect hosts and they make our stays even more special. Wonderful breakfast every morning with a lovely varied choice to select from, with the best views in Looe. This was our 4th visit and we will be back again next year.

Just arrived back from a week here. What a fabulous place. We stayed in Fowey room which had its own balcony. Amazing sea views from our room and the breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent. Our hosts Natasha and Richard were fantastic. Really made us feel very welcome and we were very sad to leave. Natalie and Richard, thank you for an amazing stay.

Excellent stay, great hosts, great breakfast, and the views from our room across Looe were stunning. The Watermark was kust a short 15 min walk down a d across the bridge to the centre of East Looe, where the majority of the shops and pubs are. We will be back.

Pros…. We arrived earlier than our arrival time, 11.30am instead of between 1-2pm, I phoned and spoke to Richard to see if we could check into the apartment, he was very accommodating and said of course, we were met by Natasha who offered to help with our luggage, as no one was expected into the apartment on our check out day, Natasha mentioned that we didn’t have to rush, which was very kind. The terrace has a fantastic view over the beach and beyond and had sun beds (cushions provided in the box on the terrace) a bbq, table and chairs. We were lucky with warm and sunny weather to enjoy the AMAZING view! Cons….. BBQ had been previously used and was in need of a good clean, needless to say we didn’t use it and did t want to spend time cleaning on our holiday, shame as the weather was perfect. The apartment is very tired and in need of decorating. The door that opens onto the veranda had no blind to keep out the morning light even though it looks as if there might of been one at some time. The cooking utensils were dirty before they were used along with the roasting tins in the cooker, again we had to clean before using
