This is the best by far pub in Porthleven to stop off for a drink with a gorgeous view of the harbour and sea, a great place that is loaded with atmosphere and is usually always busy lots of seating area outside for when the weather is good.

Full of character and situated in a lovely location, directly overlooking Mousel Harbour. We stayed in room 3, which was good sized with great views, a lovely king-size bed and had been recently renovated. Breakfast was very good (would be excellent if black pudding and porridge were available)! Lovely that dogs are welcome.

Visited just after Christmas to see the famous Mousehole lights, so it was busy, but was able to find somewhere to sit. Friendly staff in comfortable and interesting characterful surroundings. Food was served promptly and had the vegetarian stew, which was very good. Would visit again. Food in St Austell pubs is improving.

This place used to be famous for Cornish Crab Sandwiches. In a fishing village the management have decided to remove this famous item and have put Fish finger sandwiches in there place! A slap in the face for local fishermen plus huge disappointment for those of us who visited and enjoyed crab sandwiches over the years. Get real management. Not...

Having asked at the bar if they had any rooms available, I was quickly shown room 3 which is a large, warm, clean and airy on-suite bright room with a large bay window that looks straight out onto the harbour and the small island beyond. As the daily B&B rate is very reasonable, I decided to stay at the Ship...

The staff were amazing, the drinks were served fast and the boards were so easy to read! Clear, block writing was used unlike most places. It was a lovely place to visit and i will be coming back shortly! The food was also lovely :)

We had a night here as an excuse to take in the famous Mousehole Christmas lights. We enjoyed our meal in the evening and the portion sizes left us feeling very full! Reasonably priced food & wine and we were very well looked after by all staff we encountered. We chose some interesting fish cakes with chorizo off the specials...

I have been in Cornwall for 3 days and have picked great accommodation and had wonderful food, until now. The Ship Inn is very disappointing so far. The room has a heating issue and the restaurant was appalling. The daily special of tempura prawns was inedible, I followed this with fish and chips which were frozen, poorly cooked and I...
