Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Tregella is a small, family run B&B right near Towan beach, Newquay. If you pick a sea view room you look right out over the sea. Rooms are small but clean and functional. Some rooms will require sharing a bathroom. Breakfast is just as you would expect from a British B&B - plenty of choice and you can customise your cooked food. Vegetarians are catered for. The Tregella provides good quality accommodation at a reasonable price and you will not be disappointed in choosing it for your holiday or short break accommodation

We love this place, we have stopped here many times over the years as Chris and Alan make us very welcome nothing is ever to much trouble, breakfast is exellent 5* well presented and lots to choose from we are always full and set up for the day. The room was lovely and modern with attention to detail nice selection of tea n coffee and even chocolates on the pillow was a nice touch there's free parking outside but if it gets busy there's a 24hr car park 5 mins walk away which is also free after 4pm till 9am but we didn't have a problem, you can see the sea as soon as you come out the front door unless you already have room with sea view, we have stopped in all the rooms now. There are lots of nice places to eat out Chris is very knowledgeable with some good recommendations.

Our first time staying at Tregella but will not be the last, we will definitely be staying again. Chris and Alan could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable, breakfast was delicious, close to the beach, very attentive without being intrusive, helping with places to park if we couldn't park outside. We stayed in Room 10, it didn't have a sea view but it had a huge ensuite and the bed was so comfortable, the room was spotless - we didn't want to leave :-) We had said that we would be leaving early to avoid the traffic and we came back from our last night out in Newquay to find bags of goodies for our trip home which was such a thoughtful touch. We really can't say enough about our stay and can recommend Tregella as an amazing place to stay. Thank you Chris and Alan for everything you did to make our stay so special.

Tregella is an absolute hidden gem in Newquay, a stones throw from Towan beach and super close to Fistral. 2 mins from the parade of shops on Newquay High Street.
Parking available on the road, we got a space all the time, but car park is literally 5 mins walk away.
Chris is an absolutely fab host, relaxed attitude makes you feel you've got the best of both worlds, the comfort of being in someone's home, with those 'homey' touches, but equally able to be anonymous and not have someone in your face.
Breakfast was top notch and great value.
Rooms were fab value and had all the essentials, and pleasantly surprised to find a fan within the room.
From a covid point of view, everything was immaculate, lots of procedures in place and felt very safe.
Would 100% recommend to anyone, literally have nothing negative to say.

We wanted to say a big thank you to Tregella for their wonderful hospitality during our holiday staying there this summer. Our room was immaculately clean, comfortable and a joy to stay in. Breakfast was really tasty and we looked forward to this every morning. Tregella is in a great location, has wonderful views and has convenient street parking at the front. Chris really goes the extra mile for making your trip to Newquay special and listens to your needs throughout your stay. Her knowledge on the area is exceptional. We have booked to return next year. A lovely guest house. Chris makes you feel most welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Her breakfasts are excellent and there is a good choice.
The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. One tip is to close the window at night, or the seagulls will wake you up very early. The double glazing is great and cuts out all their noise
Would recommend to all.

Stayed here last week and had a fantastic time. We opted for a sea-view room and were so glad we did. It was lovely to wake up overlooking the sea and the little island. Outside there were lovely green areas overlooking the beach.
The room had everything we needed (room 7), was exceptionally clean and very comfortable with plenty of storage.
Chris and Alan were very friendly hosts who were knowledgeable about the local area and went over and above for everyone.
Breakfast were amazing and cooked to order daily.
Best views ever!

Love this guesthouse, one of the best ive stayed in. The Hostess ensures you are welcomed and well looked after and is just so helpful. The house is comfortable, clean and in a great location, overlooking Towan Bay and near all amenities. Full English breakfast, cereals, fruits, range of drinks, breads, spreads, crikey you wont go hungry. Poached eggs are a must, they're the best ever.
