Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

First of all: We are not fussy guests, but a certain standard should be there. Especially as this B&B was the most expensive of our entire holiday, but unfortunately the worst (and we had 3 more). We stayed there for 3 nights in August 2023. Not everything was negative, but unfortunately some things were: The welcome on the day of arrival was warm and we were able to move into the room earlier. Unfortunately, there was no information about when to come for breakfast the next day, we looked for the owners in the evening in the breakfast room and we found a child's dirty underwear on our breakfast table and a used tea towel on the neighbouring table. We weren't sure if we would even want to have breakfast there the next day without thinking about it. But the breakfast was good and more than sufficient, unfortunately the clotted cream had been expired for 10 days and it was served to us every day until we took it away. Only after that did we got a new one. There were many stains on the bed sheet and a huge white stain on one of the head pillows. We took our own blankets instead of the ones from the hotel because we were so horrified. The shower was ok and very big but the sink was completely dirty on the wall. The owners were friendly but a bit confused. We definitely do not recommend the B&B and we will not be back.

Firstly you booked room only so was not aware you wanted breakfast seems to be a regular thing people booking room only then expecting breakfast . There is no way you would have found dirty children’s underwear on breakfast table . Clotted cream is not out of date as as soon as it arrives I freeze it and take it out daily . We all freeze things so they last longer . If you read all my reviews people are pretty happy with our service . I’m sorry you were generally not happy . You say you came in the evening and founds child’s underwear . Breakfast is in the morning so it would not of been there in the morning when you had breakfast so a weird comment really . Also the tea towel you saw in the evening would of not been there in morning . Well all I can say is glad you won’t be returning . It 21 years of owning jasmine house we know as soon as someone walks through the door what they are like . Why would you write a review 3 months later than your actual stay sounds like you are having a bad day at the office . You take care . I do take reviews serious on this occasion I’ll try not to loose any sleep

Firstly Cindy is a lovely welcoming lady. Very upbeat and happy. She makes a mean brekkie. There was a choice of cereal yoghurt and fruits in a very clean cosy dining room. The room we stayed In was clean and cosy. With a choice of Apple and Netflix TV for nights in. Not far away from the town centre and beach over the road. Lovely stay. Great owners. Hopefully see you soon guys.

Absolute lovely b&b. Totally spotless & excellent location. Cindy the host was one of the nicest people we have ever met. We wish we had booked for two nights instead of one but we left it too late. Would definitely return.

Cindy is lovely, accommodating and welcoming. The rooms are themed, we had the Unicorn room, fabulous, we loved it. Jasmine House is 10mins walk from train station and 15 mins from town centre, a lovely walk . Will definitely stay again.

Loveliest b&b, the owners are SO nice and helpful with anything you need. Had a kettle and fridge in the room and was replenished with tea/coffee/milk/chocolates every day! Really spacious and warm family room with an en-suite, really comfy beds, with a tv in the room. Didn’t have breakfast due to time of year but the dining area looked great! VERY good location, took 10 minutes to walk into the main town but with great views along the way! Great prices for the area also! Parking available which is really handy for the area! Would 100% stay here again!

Our room was ready early, we were moved into a larger room as we were staying a few days. The room had fresh milk for tea, hot chocolate sachets, chocolate biscuits and a handful of sweets that were replenished each day. The breakfast was really plentiful and we got a complimentary cream tea to keep for later in our room fridge. We felt really welcome and would strongly recommend.

My Partner had booked this B & B and I was not disappointed at all, Cindy and Ash were the best hosts, they couldn't do enough to make our stay a fantastic one. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice, the full English was very tasty. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are going back again in September.

Cindy has a really good set up here at Jasmine House. My partner and I were welcomed and had a nice stay at the B and B. Although we did not need any assistance, I could tell the owners would have done anything to help if it was needed. The room had the amenities we needed And was a comfortable nights sleep. Breakfast was a great spread and again Cindy was on hand to make sure we were catered for well, even changing our breakfast time on our last day as we needed to leave earlier than originally planned. All in all I would recommend this B&B if staying in Newquay.

Found this after reading reviews on TripAdvisor & Booking.com. Reviews were spot on. Friendly owner Cindy obliged with all our needs. Went as a family 3 adults bkd Family room 3 nights, room very clean ,good sleep on bed, Fab shower . Brekkie was great and very filling and a bargain for the price. Only 10 mins walk from centre and nearest beach -Lusty Glaze, quite cosy ,steps down to it slightly steep but easily manageable. One of best chippies been too just round corner 2 mins walk and nice tasty Thai food van also 2 mins away. All in all very pleasant stay.
