We had a three day break here and the room was very clean . There was a one way system up to the rooms and back to the lobby . There was hand sanitizer on hand and the key was sanitised . The property is situated on a hill but is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Newquay . We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on the food . Our room had a kettle - tea and coffee and biscuits which were replaced every day . A lovely place and would return . Highly recommended.

We stayed at Trelinda Bed & Breakfast for a week and had a wonderful stay 3rd-9th August 2020.This is a return visit. Sasha and Kevin could not be more welcoming, we had a good sized clean family room, (2 rooms double bed and bunk beds). They provide an amazing breakfast, my teenagers loved the American pancakes. With new coronavirus measures, hand sanitisers on entry Sasha made us feel reassured and breakfast was served with
groups kept separated. Trelinda is a short walk to town so near to all the beaches for surfing and bars and restaurants, Trelinda also has an "honesty bar and its own private car park. We would highly recommend it as a great base for a holiday in Cornwall.

Stayed for one night on the opposite coast from where i live in Cornwall. Lovely hotel, Very comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel. With the best Bacon Sandwich I have ever eaten, the bacon was beautiful. Great coffee too. Just a short walk to the town and beaches. The social distancing and antibacterial hand wash was second to none and felt very safe. Great place to stay.

A very clean and tidy place to stay with wonderful breakfast. We stayed in the 2 bed Chalet which was ideal for 2 couples taking a break together. They’re up to date with COVID protocol so you feel extremely safe.
Great location, literally a 2 minute walk into the town and Trelinda has a good size car park so you can walk into town and not worry about the car.
Also very friendly, 100% would stay again.

I stayed at the guest house (it is not a hotel, depsite the name) for one night. The location was great, located just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and the parking, albeit very tight, was very handy. My stay was decent but I think, based on the numerous 5 star reviews, I was expecting something much better.
I will start with the positives; breakfast was very tasty and the bed was extremely comfortable.
However, I found the owners to be a bit rude upon arrival but maybe they were really busy that day. You need to book your breakfast time when you arrive and the earliest they can accomodate a cooked breakfast is 8:30 am, which can be an issue for early check-outs (however, they did offer to leave some fruits and cereals out for us if we needed to leave early). The room was more than adequate but there was absolutely no sound proofing. I could hear anyone going up the stairs and conversations in the room next to mine, which was not great. Because of the fire doors, you could also hear any door closing in the hallway and I was lucky the place wasn't full that day. Earplugs are a necessity. Also be aware that the road is quite busy and noisy.

Response from kevin blamey, Owner at The Trelinda Bed & Breakfast

Hi, sorry to hear about your noise concerns, and your confusion about 'hotel' description. We are located walking distance to the town center and we are very busy, there is road noise and people coming in and out but as people can see from our other reviews there are not many noise complaints inside and as your only hear one night I apologise if you next to noisy neighbours. As for the hotel description I do not know where your getting that from? As people can see there is no mention of it from the front of our building, our description on here and our description on booking.com, they all say guest house?? As for breakfast, we have to cater for a lot of people and have to put in a time window that best suits the majority, we have to do a lot of prep pre breakfast in the morning to keep everything to a high standard. I'm glad you enjoyed the breakfast.

This year we stayed in the twin room, Little Fistral. The whole B&B is spotlessly clean, fresh towels when you want them and bedding changed during the weeks stay. Location couldn't be better, although not for the older generations as on a very steep hill. Breakfast is absolutely first class, agsin catering for everyone's needs. Car parking and free WiFi, and hosts Sasha and Kevin always on hand if needed to answer questions and querys. Highly reccomended for singles, couples or family's and will definately be back again

Arrived a little early to check in but wasnt a problem they couldn't do enough for us. Our motorbikes were tooked up safe out of the way so very secure.
Sea view and 200 yards from the town made it easy for us to get around. Staff lovely and Kevin's breakfast is a winner worth going just for that.
Thanks for having us, only problem l had was l wasnt able to say goodbye in person so will say it on here x

Definitely recommend and will be back soon.... 10/10

Great value, great location, our room (9) was adequate for our needs but very basic, beds we ok and room was very clean and tidy, bathroom/shower were good. Some areas of the room could do with an update but I understand from previous review responses this is work in progress.
Our greeting by the man on arrival was pleasant and informative.
Car parking was excellent and clearly has had money spent on this with the fresh surface and clear bay markings, one issue here was the surface included the steps to the entrance and for visibility purposes the edges are painted white, this causes it to be a touch slippery under foot if wet as my friend found out, maybe something for the owners to look at.
Overall a good base location for a short stay based on our experience and room.

For the price this hotel was exactly what we needed, was very clean, comfortable bed, very good location and on-site parking ( just be aware you might need to move your car and check out day we were told to move our car as soon as we left). Breakfast was good each day, with lots of choices. Few things that could have improved our stay, but weren’t expected as it was very affordable. A fridge for the room (there was a communal fridge with drinks) , shower was ok but not a power shower, more clothes storage ( we stayed for 5 days). Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

We've just come back from a 4 night stay at Trelinda lovely hotel run by a lovely couple. Breakfast was fantastic nice an hot and plenty of choice. We stayed in room 11 Towen with a sea view, a nice room with all that you need with tea, coffee and fresh biscuits everyday, we arrived a little early but it wasn't a problem room was ready. A short 5 minute walk into town near to pubs and bars but not that close to cause a problem with noise.
Will definitely be returning great hotel, great location, fantastic breakfast
