Just returned from Wenden hotel had a fab week in Cornwall again, amazing place to stay, host Cilla fab lady and cant do enough for you.her BB must be the best in Newquay by 100% rooms beautiful cant fault anything at all. Loverly to see Cilla again. See you next year.
Having just spent 3 nights at the Wenden Guest House in Newquay hosted by Cilla I would definitely recommend a stay here... It was lovely!! The rooms were extremely comfortable with a large en-suite and a lovely powerful shower. Everything you could need is in the room including plates, cutlery, tea, coffee, a TV etc. The rooms are beautifully decorated and a lovely relaxing place to unwind after a day sightseeing or surfing. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and little extras like fruit and yogurt once downstairs. It’s brilliantly organised and service was always very quick with the added bonus of having a natter to a very enthusiastic and friendly host. The food was lovely and always fresh... we were lucky enough to get Cillas home grown tomatoes which were delicious! I am Coeliac and the gluten free options were amazing... Cilla and Mike were very accommodating, I could have any breakfast on the menu which isn’t always possible being allergic to gluten, I was very impressed. Overall it was a fantastic stay, the owners made us feel very at home and accommodated our every need. We will definitely be returning here the next time we’re in Newquay.…
Our stay at the Wenden Guest House was made lovely by the host Cilla. Her enthusiasm and hard work in looking after us was a lovely touch. We arrived to a nice welcome and shown where we can park the car for a small £2 a day charge, just a minute walk away. The room was very clean and had all you need for your stay. Breakfast every morning was lovely and you had a choice of what you could have. The location is about a 5 min walk to the lovely Great Western Beach and about a 25 min walk through a lovely golf course to fiscal beach. We like to visit different places when we go away for short breaks but if we ever return to Newquay we will be sure to try and get the Wenden booked.
We have just returned from a 17 day stay at Wenden and everything was perfect as always. The bedrooms, dining area and common areas were kept spotlessly clean and completely Covid compliant, meaning we felt completely safe and relaxed. Cilla's breakfasts are delicious and there is always so much choice. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Anne & Gordon
Myself and my partner stayed here earlier in the year. What a brilliant find, the face of the house, Cilla was wonderful and she truly couldn't do enough for us, although we can't not mention her partner who cooked up a tasty breakfast! The room itself was lovely, they really have made the best out of the space and for what seemed small, had all we needed. A very clean room, comfy bed, telly, cupboards, the bathroom a step away from the bed. A modern looking room with a homely feel. Breakfast was fantastic, the cooked food was very tasty but something that I extremely impressed me was how vast the non-cooked selection was, catering for vegans, gluten free, dairy free. They ticked off every possible aspect making breakfast welcoming for all. I would certainly return next time I stay in Cornwall and wouldn't be able to recommend Cilla and her wonderful guest house highly enough, thanks again for a brilliant stay!…
