Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very impressed and highly recommend the Griffin Inn. Spent two days there with my friend for the Easter weekend. It is clean & well cared for. The staff work as a team with everyone genuinely pleased to have you there, approachable friendly & welcoming. Great location the train station is a 3 minutes walk away & it's close to pubs bars shops and beach. Prices for staying here are excellent value for money with a hearty breakfast included in your stay. Their food is very good and affordable. I have to say the carvery is the best carvery I have had. Thank you to ALL of you for making our experience enjoyable & looking after us.

We've recently returned from a 4 night stay at this lovely inexpensive hotel. It has a good size car park which is a bonus and our room was a good size, very clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast I have to say was superb with the staff particularly friendly and welcoming. Certainly on our list of places to return to.

Convenient central location near the bus stop. We were doing the coast path so the pub gave us breakfast early to be able to get the bus. Great breakfast which was freshly cooked and prompt service. Free parking. Friendly staff. Good value for money.

Well located near to all things Newquay has to offer. Free parking lovely staff, and a decent breakfast. The property is stuck in the 1970s and needs a refurb. We booked a pub stay and were disappointed that the bar shut at 8.30 in the evening. Our room was basic with noisy radiator pipes and a very poor shower the room was clean just needed updating.

Traditional pub with rooms in central Newquay. Rooms are basic and clean but need updating. Separate shower room, shower is difficult to use and the water flow is poor. Noisy at night with some dodgy looking people hanging around. Food is good but the restaurant is something from the 1970s with hideous orange light fittings. Wifi is reasonable speed, tea and coffee etc in rooms. Limited parking. Staff are very friendly so all good on that front.

Perfect place to stay if you're visiting Newquay. Brilliant welcome, good food and drink, comfortable rooms. Shouldn't really be writing this review - If everyone knows how good it is we'll have trouble booking for our next visit! Saying that, we will be back.
