We had the most wonderful time. We stayed in a cottage overlooking the sea and it couldn't have been more perfect. It's so lovely to go somewhere that caters for children and dogs. The food in the hotel was fantastic, where we enjoyed a super evening meal as well as a delicious afternoon tea. I had the luxury of enjoying...

The 'Headland' is quite simply a 'periodic' masterpiece that dates back in time but still retains its original charm of a grand stately hotel. It has a splendid outside'presence' and set in an ideal cliff location with stunning sea views, it truly is a masterpiece of a building that joins previous to present decades together...,using todays' modern techniques from that of...

We have stayed at the headland many times always in the cottages brilliant for families especially with young children. Dogs are also welcome which is a really nice. The hotel staff are great and the maids who service the cottages are fantastic nothing is to much trouble. The pool is a God send on rainy days for the children. A...

We were very disappointed with the quality of our room for the amount it cost. The room was small, with a ripped and torn bed base, and paint scratched off the door frame, obviously by a previous canine resident. When we contacted reception and asked to move, we were told that it was not possible to move to a comparable...

Just back from a six day break at this hotel and honestly can't praise it enough. The staff are fabulous! Always there yet unobtrusive, it's like a well oiled machine.During our stay there was a wedding and a large function neither of which intruded on the comfort of the resident guests. Please tell me who the furniture faries are?How do...

Stayed here for a couple of nights for work on a local's recommendation. Hotel is right on top of the beach, just on the edge of the town yet it felt a little isolated. The restaurant views are great. Didn't have dinner or use the spa and as I was working I had only one breakfast (not served until 0730)....

We took a 3 bedroom self catering cottage at Headland hotel. The quality of finish was superb, everything in the cottage was of a high standard, although I didn't do hardly any cooking, as the food available was also of superb level. The restaurants by the beach are also very good. The Spa was I think quite a recent addition...

Booked one of the best rooms at £280 per night (inc. breakfast only) Dog treat on the floor when we arrived in the room, carpet full of dog hairs.. an old sandy tennis ball (probably the dog's) in a bag on the floor.. Let the reception know... still full of dog hair the 2nd day... I guess either poor management...

First trip to the Headland Hotel and it's a great location with the beach and restaurants so close. The staff were helpful and friendly and the spa was lovely and room was clean and we had lots of space. Breakfast was great too. Lovely weekend away and would return.

The Hotel is a joy from start to finish, modern meets traditional in the most classy way. The staff were fantastic and helpful.
