We have been visiting the Headland for almost 20 years - usually with our dogs, as it has always been very welcoming to our canine pals. This time we were shocked to find that prices have increased by 20% to £24 per dog per night. We expect to pay a small charge for extra cleaning - but £48 a night...

We were given a gift voucher for Christmas so decided to stay for our 48th wedding anniversary. The voucher was for b/b and a spar treatment. As we had decided to just have the B/B we were told on telephing we could have an upgraded room. Ocean View. I do not know how much the voucher was worth but I...

I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years but never managed to get round to writing a review so thought I would make the effort this time! We always stay in the cottages as it suits us to have the excellent facilities that they provide - they are always spotlessly clean and comfortable and only a 2...

My husband, adult son and 2 dogs, stayed from Boxing Day for 3 nights. The room faced the sea, the view and sounds were heavenly. The staff here are incredible nothing is too much. Breakfast was amazing with so much to choose. Dinner had a great choice. The hotel has such a great atmosphere, it is obviously managed very well. The...

Although we live fairly near the Headland and have eaten at the location this is the first time that we have had an overnight stay. The Spa experience was exceptionally good with the staff getting the right balance between professionalism and friendliness. The accommodation was comfortable and the décor in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The evening meal...

This is our 3rd year of visiting at this time and if at all possible, it gets better every year. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They even look after my pooch! We had a lovely welcome pack waiting for her in our room on arrival! The New Year gala night was fabulous, we've already booked for this...

This is our second stay at the Headland and once again there was much to praise. The welcome was very warm, the room comfortable and immaculate, the spa is top drawer and the food we had in the Terrace restaurant (dinner and afternoon tea) was lovely. With so much to love it was really sad that the breakfast was just...

Dear Chris Thank you very much foir your review. I am, of course, delighted to see that you were impressed with the welcome, your room, our spa and meals in the Terrace. However, it is very disappointing that you found breakfast service so unsatisfactory. Thank you for letting us know about your experience and rest assured that your comments will...

Visited the lovely Headland Hotel just after Christmas for the day. We very much enjoyed their spa facilities and the hour treatments. Staff were professional and friendly. Champagne Afternoon Tea was somewhat disappointing. Three of us were placed at a very small table. They eventually had to add another table behind us to accommodate the tea trays. Service was slow...

Beautiful cottages set near to the hotel and more importantly right on the coast of a beautiful beach. Parking is an issue just to mention as there is no where near enough of it. Once again any of the cottages are beautifully kitted out with everything you would ned for a week long break.

It is a great pleasure to see that you and your family enjoyed your cottage break so much and thank you for your lovely comments. You are right when you say the parking is sometimes at a premium, as The Headland is such a popular venue. However we are addressing that in the very near future, so please bear with...

Normally stay at the Headland in early May, and will be doing so again this year, but fancied a break between Christmas and the New Year. As usual the food, staff and room were all up to the Headland's excellent standards.Yet another very enjoyable stay for us. If someone said I could go anywhere in the world for a fortnights...
