Location is great and as I personally love old hotels can't complain about facilities. Did enjoy the gym, nice and warm pool and jacuzzi, never busy, amazing sunset views from the tables they got at the back, lovely breakfast, nice staff. Location is great too. On the down side I'd say the dinner menu wasn't exciting at all... We actually...

Stayed here before and knew that it was a bit dated, yet it was a comfortable stay. We had a lovely sea view this time, but room felt a bit small. And the television looked like one from the 90's. Surely this could be sorted out, just something modern? As always staff are friendly.and the breakfast buffet was extremely nice,...

Had four nights here and the positives include the location and the very polite and professional staff who helped resolve any question we had. The negatives are that the rooms really are a little tired. I enjoy older hotels as they have more character and the public rooms of this hotel have this in spades. But the bedrooms really let...

We booked on a deal and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the room was lovely- the pool and hot tub was really nice- the sauna wasn't quite as good as the other facilities but fine. Staff were really friendly and our dinner in the restaurant was delicious! We enjoyed every bite. This did mean we really looked forward to breakfast but it...

Had a bargain dinner and stay with Wowcher - parking alongside hotel useful in busy Newquay, even if £5 extra. Room was facing street, everything worked, not noisy, warm, good shower, tea/coffee making fine. Staff very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The small lift worked well. Pleasant looking swimming pool/steam/sauna with farden/sea views, but sadly did not have time to try...

Stayed for two nights in February. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, hotel looks very grand as you enter, we paid extra for a larger room with a sea view. This was very spacious as was the bathroom but it was all pretty outdated. We discovered as a guest you get a discounted rate in Bertie's next door which...

This was not the first time we have stayed in this hotel and the staff are always fantastic. The restaurant food and staff were so good on the first night that we ate also ate on the 2nd night. Lovely cooked local food with a nice view. Swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna very clean and enjoyable. Unfortunaley we could not...

*Better off at the travelodge up the road* From the outside the building looks like something out of the Adams family, but that can't really helped and it's the inside that counts. The entrance hall is lovely, grand and open and with helpful staff on hand. Sadly, this was the best bit! The room was bare, really bare. Nothing on...

Terrible service in an overpriced delapidated dirty dump. Avoid at all cost. The first room we were offered was tiny and situated directly above the nightclub. It looked onto the street despute our request on booking for a sea view. We refused it but had to pay more for a larger sea view room. The sea view was marred by...

Only stayed for 1 night but wow wouldn't hesitate to book again for longer. We stayed in room 219 over looking the sea. Well I say room more like a suite, it was huge...2 tvs! Bed was kingsize and comfortable. Bathroom was a little dated but spotlessly clean, fluffy white towels and toiletries provided. Breakfast was served buffet style. Plenty...
