Hotel's Favourite
When we arrrived at the newquay beach hotel we was greeted with a warm friendly welcome, we was able to park our car as i did make sure to call before booking to see if their was availabilty to park, as we needed to be able to go to our car regularly, the staff offered to help take our luggage. Nothing seemed too much for them, The welcome area and bar/restaurant was beautifully presented, and our bedroom was perfect loved the decor. The bed was so comfy and the staff always made sure the essentials in the bedroom and bathroom was stocked up, loved how their was chairs outside and in, to be able to watch the beautiful sea view from our balcony, the bathroom was perfect so beautifully done. And the children's room was spectacular my daughter loved it, its not easy keeping a toddler entertained when they love to run around, but the childrens room was just perfect their was so many toys, and even a ball pit she was very happy, the breakfast was superb very delicious and well presented, All staff have been so wonderful on our weekend away it was very nice to enjoy a spectcular hotel and happy staff which is wonderful to see, the hotel was so clean and tidy everything was in ship shape, The location is perfect for the town and the various beaches. The hotel itself deserves 10/10 it was superb, we also managed to visit the newquay zoo and newquay aquarium they was amazing and you cannot get anoth of the beach just wow clear blue sea excellent family weekend away would most definitely be visiting this wonderful hotel and place again thank you so much xx

My boyfriend and I just spend the bank holiday weekend at this hotel and it was excellent! Location couldn’t have been any better with Tolcarne Beach literally on your doorstep and lots more beaches within walking distance. Lots of shops and amenities also close by and available parking throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel itself was spotless and very modern, although the rooms are slightly small they have all you need for a short holiday. We did have to ask for a fan as the room got quite hot and the windows only open very slightly, but reception had one brought to our room within 10 minutes of the request. Staff were all very friendly and cheerful. The only down side of the hotel was the breakfast we didn’t feel it was great value for money and instead found a cafe a short walk along the road that was much cheaper for the following day. Would highly recommend for a couple staying for a weekend get away.

This was my first trip to Newquay and to this particular Hotel for my Partner's birthday. My First impression of the hotel , very friendly reception staff. The hotel itself is very clean in a nice chic boutique style. We spent one night in the Deluxe Double Room with Sea View. The room was a nice size with nice view but with very basic furniture and was missing some standard amenities such as table lamp for the bed side tables, there was a lack of basic toiletries such as shower gel. The room was airy and bright. However the room did not have air conditioning but there were enough windows to open to allow a breeze in but unfortunately you were exposed to street noise. I also spent 3 nights in the Double Room with Balcony but this room was small and compact and again very basic. The Balcony is small but big enough for 2 people. The wifi in each room was very good. The first night in this room the bed base broke when i sat on the bed. This was quickly rectified on the night when reported to reception and the base was replaced. We spoke to Violet on reception who was very apologetic and arrange a partial refund on our room as well as a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we ate every night in the hotel and and the breakfast was excellent. I was impressed with the Breakfast and Dinner menu and tried nearly everything on it. Sebastian the restaurant managers was fantastic and advised us about things to do in Newquay as it was our first visit. When he found out that it was my Partners birthday , he arranged for us to have a free glass of prosecco.
The customer service in the restaurant was excellent and top marks to Sebastien and his serving staff and his chefs. I also like to thank Violet for her help and to Nancy on reception. Nothing was too much for the staff and they went out of their way to make us comfortable.
My only concerns with this hotel is that the rooms do need to be updated with better quality furniture and it seems that many of the rooms do not have air conditioning. The hotel does not have a great deal of facilties considering the price you pay per night and bearing in mind the hotel has a 4 star rating. I also feel that free parking should be offered if you are staying more than one night and if you have booked a deluxe room as this room is already priced slightly higher.
Having said this the hotel is in an excellent location, near the town centre, train station and also near the beach, coastal paths where you can walk along to access many other beaches.

Despite the points i have made, i have already rebooked to come back to this hotel in July for my birthday. I would recommend anyone who is thinking about booking to give this hotel a try. You may be able to get a deal with Bookings.com.

The hotel was in a great location to explore Newquay and its wonderful coast and stunning beaches.

The hotel was very clean and well kept with beautiful furnishings and attractive decor in the public common areas making the place feel very inviting.

My small double bedroom with balcony and sea view was comfortable and served me well for 4 nights. The cleaning staff made up my room each morning and replenished toiletries, tea/coffee and water bottles (which came in very handy - thanks)!

The service from staff was great and always with a smile. When I mentioned that my hairdryer didn’t work, I had a brand new one brought up straight away.

The food in the restaurant was of super quality and beautifully presented and tasted delicious! I enjoyed a different breakfast each morning and a gorgeous 2 course dinner of my first evening there.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again next time I’m in Newquay.

Thanks for making my holiday so lovely!

An absurdly overpriced room. Sold as a deluxe double, the room was tiny, with a tiny bed, the room so small that there was not enough room beside the bed to have a bedside table, exit from the bed was from the foot of the bed. A cramped uncomfortable stay at a cost of well over £200 a night without breakfast or parking.
I have given two stars as the room was clean.
However the towels are taken from the bathroom every morning by room service and rolled up before being replaced on the bed, they are consequently damp every evening, they would be better off being kept to dry or replaced.
The balcony has two, uncomfortable, plasic chairs but no table on which to put even a coffee cup, rendering it an uncomfortable place to sit to admire the view, the only redeeming feature in an otherwise uninspiring and mis sold hotel.
If you're going to advertise a deluxe double, don't offer a small broom cupboard and charge for a deluxe double. Deluxe it is not.

We stopped here for 3 nights as part of our 6 day holiday, firstly the pros, the hotel decor is beautifully done and the rooms were very modern and clean with comfortable beds, the staff were also all very friendly and helpful.

Cons, very limited parking, nearest car park is £12 a day, the hotel is on a busy main road meaning if you leave the window open of an evening the traffic noise and seagulls are extremely loud, I would recommend putting a fan in the rooms to combat this issue. Upon arrival we complained as one of the windows in the room had a blind that didn’t fit the window, it was 10cm away from the window, white/see through and only went 3/4 of the way down the window, after complaining the receptionist who already seemed aware of the issue arranged for maintenance to come into the room to fit a curtain, I was grateful it was sorted promptly however don’t understand why this hadnt been done prior after discovering the same complaint in another review. Lastly I would recommend putting a mirror on the dressing table with a stool, the only mirrors in the room was in a dark Bathroom and on the wardrobe which is in the very corner of the room (difficult to do hair in with it being next to the wall and very narrow) only a minor issue as it didn’t effect my husband but as a woman was very difficult to do hair and makeup.

The staff were excellent. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean. Great location on the seafront overlooking the beach, great if you have a room with a balcony. The hotel is very cheaply furnished especially the bedrooms which was a shame, and are badly laid out, so make sure you don't get a room with a bed pushed up against the wall as many of the rooms are, we had to change our room. Heating is not switched on until 19:00 during the winter season. The bar staff were excellent with Sebastian as head, he kindly asked us to join him in a wine tasting, lovely asset to the hotel. The food in the Feathers restaurant is poor, our meal of scallops and venison were tasteless with no seasoning, the scallops were small frozen ones, and the venison came with a large quantity of luke warm kale and baby roasted potatoes that had been microwaved and gone watery, all tastless. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice depending on what you are prepared to pay, but watch out you pay extra for a second cup of coffee or tea, same with any juice. There is no lift, so this hotel is not suitable for those who are not fit. This hotel is really for those you are young. A lot of improvements could be made to make this hotel stand out from the competition. We would not return.

Hotel is situated opposite Tolcarne Beach and within easy walking distance of the town. Staff very friendly, room clean and modern but we had a few issues. There is no lift and floors break off up/down other stairways. Room was very small, had a tower fan (which we had to leave on constantly) and left the window open but the temperature was still 28 degrees all through the night. Breakfast was chaotic. One morning we waited 45 minutes for our food to come. Although breakfast was included in the price we paid Option 1 we could choose 1 item with 1 cold and/or hot drink, Option 2 was 2 items with 1 cold and/or hot drink. I am Coeliac and despite asking after Day 1 breakfast for gluten free bread on Day 2 this was not available. We asked at reception again and were later told that they were unable to provide due to not having a second toaster and the concern re cross contamination. Gluten free pancakes were approximately 2 inches in diameter (nearly missed them on the plate). You had to constantly ask for things - sauce, teaspoon, butter (for toast). They should not charge for parking - it is on their land. No draught beer available in the bar one night. The level of service and room sizes need improving. Our stay did not warrant the price that we paid and we would not stay again.

We stayed at a deluxe double room which it says to be a garden view but it was lesser than that it was a view with flat roof garden quarter and viewing to side staircase, windows and back of the hotel. We accepted that it was our last minute booking and last room left during bank holiday season. However, with the price of £300 (2nights), we were still hoping something more solid, hope the view can be improved with real plant rather than plastic and better mattress. We were highly appreciated Claudia and waitresses who wearing white top, a line long black pencil skirt lady who was very caring and nice. She looked for the details to wipe baby high chair (without us asking) before handed it for us in the morning breakfast (31st May) .Breakfast was yummy and fast service. Claudia was extremely welcomed and friendly, helped us to carry bag to the room. She politely thankyou while we gave her our suggestion about the room. We also booked for car park before visiting, charged £8/24hrs. The bar waiter who wearing glasses could be more friendlier by saying hi, but he can't be bothered. The hotel is basically on the cliff top, which can go down the beach by walking down a steep staircase or a drive your car down. Please don't confuse as it names Beach front hotel (doesn't mean step out of the hotel door can dip your toe into sands straight away ) However, we found the hotel is very well maintenance and nice dining area setup . Room's toilet was immaculated, room was big ish has kettle, tea coffee, fan, TV, free WiFi, cupboard, hanger, big window (need attention to cleanliness and curtain needs to fix). The small double bed it springs was aged and can feel the spring poking. If it is so called deluxe double bedroom, it needs more improvement to match it titles. We are hoping to come back but with a room with Seaview and better mattress please. All the best to your hotel.

Hotel had a great location - was around a 5 min walk to the nearest coast line beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. However, the rooms are very small for the price you pay and have no air conditioning. It was fairly hot in August so we had to open the window instead - only issue with this is that the loud street noise and Seagulls wake you up early morning.

It wouldn’t cost a lot for them to buy in bulk electric fans for the rooms for guests given how expensive one night can be.

Will definitely be coming back to Cornwall again but might try a different hotel. Was very overpriced for the room we received.
