we stay one night in this Hostel, the staff was very helpful. the view from the bar area it's breathtaking, but the rooms were very poor and I think they can work on the shared toilets, there was not a lot of air in the top floor. still a suitable cheap solution for the location and the friendly environment .

I just needed a long weekend and found a package for surfing lessons and the stay. I had already stayed at other st christopher hostels and was very fond of them. Lets say this one is a bit different to previous experiences. But the people working are the best. And in hospitality, as long as the basics are covered, that's... More

We came down for one night and found this place. I knew it was a hostel but the offer of a private room with en suite told me that it would be of an average standard. How wrong I was. Pros: The vicinity to the beach and the beautiful views. The food and drinks offered in the bars downstairs. Nice... More

There was no mention at all about this hostel being above a noisy nightclub during the booking process and no sleep was had! The rooms are disgusting, sheets didn't look like they had been changed and the floors were grubby. The only redeeming feature was the view and the very short walk to the beach. Otherwise, don't bother!

My friend and I stayed 1 night whilst traveling around Cornwall. We booked a female only dorm, which slept 8 people, sharing 2 toilets and 2 showers. The room was relatively clean and in great condition considering the low room rate of £14 a night, including a continental breakfast. Beds were comfortable and showers were hot and powerful which was... More

As far as hostels go I thought it was ok, the staff were lovely and very helpful, food in the bar was good. Brilliant views for patio area and from our room. The room itself did look a bit tatty could have done with a bit of a fix up, but in general it did the job beds were clean... More

This place we stayed here a few months ago. The location is awesome, right off the beach. The bar itself it is connected too is quite a cool place in the evening. Really good vibe to it. So we stayed here for a week. Price was ok but its a bit more expensive now which I don't really understand. Our... More

Came here for a friend's stag weekend and stayed in rooms 5 and 6. It is a hostel so I was not expecting miracles but was pleasantly surprised. Staff are very friendly and the views are out of this world. The rooms are basic but comfortable beds and it is noisy at night but was on a stag and didn't... More

Wow, where do I begin... Arrival into the room we found mould all over the walls surrounding the windows in room 9. I opened the curtain, and apart from being pretty solid because of the layers of dirt on it, mould fell off of this curtain... Disgusting. The bed was terrible, and these rooms in the top floor are a... More

We booked this on a budget, but this was one of the more expensive places we stayed in during our Cornwall trip, so I was expecting better. The man who checked us in was very friendly. If you're a person who likes to party all night and drink shots, then this would be a perfect location. However we came here... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You'll find St Christopher's Inn, Newquay perched on a cliff top, overlooking the beautiful Towan Beach. This stunning location on the southern tip of England is the perfect mix of sun, sand and sea. You'll also find the Escape Surf School in the same building - making this hostel in Newquay the perfect place to slip into a wetsuit and hit the waves. After a day of working out in the water, the on-site Belushi's bar and restaurant is the top spot to recharge and make new friends, as you enjoy the outdoor sun deck, summer BBQs, and all round good times. This backpacker base in Newquay doesn't just connect you to one beach - it's actually close to eleven sandy shores, making it the perfect place to stay when the Zapcat King of the Waves speedboat competitions roar into the area and smash across the sea. Another annual highlight in the area is the Rip Curl Boardmasters Festival when, for a whole week, you can hit the beach for surf, skate, BMX and bikini competitions galore - not to mention the best live music in Europe. If you follow the shores beyond the beach you'll find the ruins of Tintagel Castle - the legendary home of Merlin the Magician, Uther Pendragon, King Arthur and the one and only Knights of the Round Table. Another international tourism treasure in Cornwall has to be the nearby Eden Project - Britain's very first, self-contained biosphere and the cutting edge of all things environmental. ... more   less
