Come stay with us for a warm Cornish welcome. Our spotless 33 room guest house provides excellent value for money, with all the facilities you'd expect from a good quality B&B. In fact plenty of our guests come back year after year. Every room has central heating, a flat screen TV plus free tea and coffee making equipment. Many also feature gorgeous sea views. And we're only a stone's throw from Newquay's famous sandy beaches, great tourist facilities and pretty town centre. And, of course, there are lots of places to buy the famously delicious Cornish pasty! Famously balmy Newquay provides easy access to the entire Cornish road network. Penzance, St Michael's Mount and The Lizard are close by. And the magical Scilly Isles are easily accessible, too.

Room was clean, but a bit tatty. Parking was tight, but better than parking on the street. I think at one time this was a lovely hotel, but due to the recession many changes have been made. It clearly is NOT a B&B with 33 rooms. I don't think I would book again.

Response from John J, Owner at The Glendeveor

Dear Geologist427, I am convinced you may have posted your review on the wrong page for a couple of reasons. Firstly we have been closed for the season at the end of September 2018 and don't reopen until early April 2019, although I do except that some people can post a review long after they have left but you sound very sure the place you stayed is not a 33 bedroomed B&B and I can absolutely guarantee we are so i am hoping you have mixed us up with another establishment and if this is the case then if you are able to amend or remove this review it would be most appreciated. If for any reason we are the correct establishment I would be grateful for more information like the date you stayed and the room you were in so I can look into your comments. Thank you again.

This was a return visit to this hotel. A very comfortable stay. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good clean double room - en-suite, tea/coffee, TV. Good choice of breakfast. No problem with parking but this was an out of season visit - in season may be a little tight.

Yes that is absolutely fine. We have no policy on this matter. It is perfectly fine for same sex friends, colleagues or couples to share rooms/beds. Thank you for your enquiry, if you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.
