Quality low priced hotel within walking distance to town and beaches. Staff very helpful and polite. Very clean rooms and modern.
Parking on site there is hair dryer in room and on our floor iron and ironing board for use
Has its own pool and bar.
Main door locked at 22.00 but each room gets their own front door key also.

Booked over a year ago for a special birthday celebration for my wife and family members, 15 of us in total.
The planning included a full 3 course planned and agreed evening meal on the night of the birthday.
On arrival an issue with the larger family group beds, with some changes to the room and addition of a couple of z beds as hotel was full and no spare single mattresses. Not the most comfortable for the age of the children but with my daughter rotating each night so the children had lowest number of nights on these.
Rooms were clean tidy and comfortable, everything worked as it should, bathrooms bit tired but this is standard in a lot of hotels (even the one my wife and I went onto in Falmouth was tired in the bathroom area), room was refreshed daily with housekeeping.
Breakfast was a good size with choices of cereal, croissants, yoghurt, toast followed by a cooked breakfast to your liking.
Bar food was very good and reasonable prices and large portions, and a range from pizza thro burgers to curry enough for all tastes.
Small games room with pool table and darts board.
Swimming pool and area was tidy and clean, and pool was lovely and warm
As we had a child with special needs the owners arranged for us to use a side gate to access the pool with the wheelchair. The pool was enjoyed by all on each day.
The evening meal for 15 tables re set and decorated accordingly, and each and every course was cooked well and served well.
We had a health incident in the evening, and Lia was helpful beyond expectation and so supportive.
Ash was always doing something from pool, breakfast or cooking in the evening.

Both Lia and Ash do try to make sure your holiday is very good, so any issues just ask.

Plenty of parking with allocated spot for the mobility van

Very close walk to Porth and into Newquay so perfect spot

For our first b&b/ guest house stay i must say I’m really impressed with this place. We booked a mon-fri in a family room and it was lovely, great Decor (beach theme) bright and spacious, big windows letting in lots of light. Breakfast was great, bar was full and pool was clean and warm! This place is family run and they are all lovely. I’ll defiantly be returning to pine lodge, not sure I’ll bother looking for other accommodation next time I was that impressed! About 15 mins to walk into town which we did daily but on a bud route abs local taxi numbers inside. Overall brilliant 10/10

We booked 2 double rooms (as the family room was unavailable) for two nights as we had a wedding to attend at Lusty Glaze Beach.

The staff were lovely, very happy and helpful.

The pool was a real bonus - especially as it was heated! It’s a real sun trap and you can take your drinks from the bar out there.

The rooms were clean and spacious with ample storage; the beds were really large and SUPER comfy! The first room was so bright and airy, beautifully appointed and light. There was plenty of plug sockets as well which was greatly appreciated!!

The only reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is that our room was above the restaurant and the noise carried at breakfast and the road at the front was quite busy so there was a bit of traffic noise - not the hotels fault at all of course, just want to leave an honest review!
The second of our rooms was down in the annexe and there was a little issue with damp and the bathroom was a little gloomy - but it didn’t detract from all the other brilliant points to this hotel!

A real gem of a place and we’ll definitely return!

Got to Pine lodge around 5.30pm. Front Door Was shut due to Storm Dennis arriving so rang bell. I was welcomed into reception very promptly first impressions were clean tidy and noticed an ambudence of brochures and leaflets of places to go and see. Was booked in and shown my room. Booked a single room and was exactly that! Compact clean tidy and all facilities needed catered for as well as a mini bottle of Prosecco and glass with chocolate on side!👍 perfect(was valentines weekend) and was a nice treat! Went down to communal bar area around 8pm for a glass of wine and was met by Lia and Ash. Absolutely lovely couple spent the evening chilling and chatting with them. Made my stay all the more lovely as I was on my own. Breakfast was PERFECT A⭐️⭐️⭐️ I will definitely be visiting again next time I drive across from Hertfordshire to drop my son to his friends in summer. I’m a happy customer! Thank you x

I am writing this review to share our experience of our stay at the pine lodge. Without meaning to sound too clichè, it had been a very eventful and challenging year keeping afloat during this pandemic for my girlfriend and I, we were finally in a position to book our first week off from work and have a well earned break away in our favourite UK destination that is Newquay. We arrived promptly to check in and noticed that the decor closely resembled a youth hostel. The initial disappointment was enough to rock the boat however a full capsize wasn’t in sight just yet.

We were asked to pay for our room upfront without seeing it first, alarm bells began to sound, however, we paid the reasonably high fee and continued to our room.

As we entered the room we heard a grumble in the corner begin to sound and on closer inspection it was merely the dehumidifier switching on as it starts it’s timer. The filth lodged between the grill of the humidifier must have had grime dating back to the 19th century, and had never been fortunate enough to see the likes of a J-Cloth in its miserable existence.

We tested the shower in the very outdated bathroom and hoped we could at least wash, however, the stream was incredibly weak and we could tell there must be some catastrophic issues with the piping, not to mention it suddenly gushing out boiling hot water without warning…

Our English breakfast comprised of one measly sausage, which probably had less meat inside than the burnt mushrooms that sat adjacent. One mouthful of the fried egg made me run cold as I thought I’d just devoured an old bicycle inner tube, to say the least, we were disappointed as we were hoping that a hearty full English would rectify our situation.

Our room was not once cleaned for the duration of our stay and our towels and refreshments were not once replaced. After a week of having to drink out of the same mug, this just about topped it off.

Cannot recommend pine lodge enough. Everything was spot on. Clean spacious rooms, which are so nicely decorated making them feel like a home from home. Private bathrooms which are also as equally spacious. Easy to tell that the food is made with care and attention to detail. All the staff are extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The location of the hotel is perfect its so close to the beach and to town. With a bus stop just outside the hotel it makes longer journeys easy if you don’t fancy driving. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

The stink in the room was unbearable. A mixture of damp, bleach and very cheap cleaning products. Cracked mirror, no shower gel or soap. Broken toilet roll holder. Mattress soft and lumpy. Bedding cheap and synthetic. Breakfast so bad that even my husband who eats anything and everything couldn't eat most of it. Only edible thing on my plate was the two cherry tomatoes. Coffee and toast cold. No social distancing in breakfast room and no cleaning of tables between different parties sitting at the same table. Some guests were having breakfast in their pajamas. I was trying to convey my dismay to the only person available but he didn't have time for me as he was cooking breakfast for other the guests.

We stayed at Pine lodge Over the August bank holiday weekend, quite a large group of us and a birthday celebration to boot. Ash, Leah and their team could not do enough for us, as cliche as this may sound we arrived as guests and left as friends. It was my daughters 14th birthday while we were there and they pulled out all the stops, decorating the bar and hosting her party. Without doubt we will be returning, hopefully for my birthday next year (I hope I get balloons and banners too!) And if you like a pool where you stay, this is the place for you! Rooms are spacious and welcoming, breakfast is a winner for me and the cheese and ham toasties at the bar are great! My wife highly recommends Ash’s hot chocolate with all the trimmings! Can’t wait to go back!

We arrived and checked in dropped our stuff In the room and quickly realised the place had a strange smell about it we assumed this was the very old carpets we would later learn it was the dampness that is rotting the annex away. The room was dirty very dusty and had a dehumidifier on sooking up the moisture from the atmosphere inside the room.

We headed out and did not return untill midnight when we then realised our clothes that were hanging up were all damp , the beds very cold from dampness and there was no way to dry anything as the heating is off contrary to the sign in the bathroom telling you to use a towel rail that you can't turn on.

Under the beds were filthy , top of the head board filthy, inside the dehumidifier filthy all things that takes 2 seconds to clean if you put the effort in. During the time we were in that room I had to empty the dehumidifier 4 times which would amount to about 1L of water

We woke up early next morning my family were weezing and had a dry cough from the night we had spent in the room. I complained right away spoke to the manger Lea who spoke to me with her arms folded and assured me I would receive a "FULL" refund and said a few times this would happen automatically through booking.com.

It's been 3 weeks now and we have learned she has the audacity to charge us for the nights stay and suffering her damp hotel. She lied about the full refund and she lied the previous family had wet the carpet but if you look on trip advisor or booking.com reviews it's a constant stream of complaints of dampness but her audacity doesn't stop there by 1500hrs of that day she had rented it back out again to continue to deceive people. The Annex of this hotel needs knocked down and she knows it but that doesn't stop her skimming money off people visiting the area.

I tried a few times to contact she ignores emails and won't call you back she gets her staff to do that as she won't face the criticism. The management just says go through booking.com for a "partial refund" when to your face they agree to offer a "FULL" refund.

Mark and avoid this place I will never be back and I would not reccomend it to anyone ever.
