Oceanside is THE hotel in Newquay for like-minded locals and visitors to hang out and soak up an eclectic, ocean-infused, salty vibe, watching the waves roll in whilst enjoying a hand-roasted coffee or fruity cocktail. With ample space to park their surfboards overnight for the next morning’s dawny session and a spot where they can enjoy excellent quality meals in a casual setting overlooking the surfers tackling that Atlantic swell. All our bedrooms are ensuite with TV, tea & coffee, radio, hairdryer. Four of our rooms have private balconies, offering that little extra something for your stay. There is a large bar & terrace and separate restaurant serving local food & drink. There is also an indoor luxury marquee suite, ideal for Weddings, functions, parties etc.

Great hotel, friendly staff and great breakfast choices! The hotel is lovely with plenty of character! The rooms were warm and clean. Ours was a family room and had plenty of space. Our bathroom was in the turret! Very exciting for the kids (and me too). I’m views out over the sea! Lovely velux looking over the golf course and sea; we loved snuggling up in the duvets in the morning watching the rabbits on the golf course! The communal spaces were great. We were lucky enough to be there during the fireworks weekend; they’ve got a great outdoor area with fire pits which were great in the cold November evenings. Our party had another room with a balcony which faced the sea so we had our own private view of the fireworks! Really lovely weekend! Thanks so much!

This hotel is lovely and we had a wonderful nights stay whilst attending the Miss Cornwall Drag pageant. Our room was amazing and the view was perfect for the price we paid. The breakfast had tasty locally sourced ingredients and the service was good. The staff are so friendly and helpful and our evening meal was fantastic. I can’t recommend this little hotel enough and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Although it was out of season, the hotel was fully open. There is ample parking to the rear. The room was clean and tidy with a fantastic view of Fistral beach. The staff were absolutely fantastic and nothing seemed to be too much trouble - 5 star service with a smile and great value for money. Will definitely use again when we are next in Newquay.

Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the water and the golf course. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us check in early since room was ready. A very nice breakfast (both cold and hot) was included. It was a short walk to the beach and to coastal walks.

Stayed 2 nights. We had a balcony room with a great view of Fistral beach and the golf course. The room was bright, clean and had great heating (hubby was happy)😊 Breakfast was very nice and we had dinner one night which was lovely. They are very accommodating of dogs. The atmosphere was nice in the restaurant/bar area. All different seating areas, sofas which made it feel homely. Car park is conveniently behind the hotel. The walk from car park to the hotel is well lit up when dark. We look forward to staying there again.

Had a very nice stay! Fantastic location,Slept extremely well,Exceptional food served at this hotel! Staff friendly and very helpful. I stayed in a no pets room,It was light and airy with nice views of the sea. 2 windows in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. Would and will stay again.

Lovely coastal retreat of a hotel in great location. Quieter side of Newquay and a 3-min walk to Fistral Beach (best in the area). Coastal walk is 5-mins from the hotel. Rooms are nice and have everything you could need for a few nights. Good showers and comfortable beds - vital given most in the area will be there for activity/walking holidays. Breakfast is fantastic - variety of choices and lovely service. Only downside is that the rooms could do with a little soundproofing. Someone on the phone next door woke me up at 6am one morning because I thought they were in the room with me. Just some basic in-wall soundproofing (walls are hollow) would stop that. For now, just bring earplugs and you’ll have a perfect stay!

Eat in restaurant for Sunday lunch. Staff friendly. Food, good portions nicely presented on a platter. Food could have been hotter. Puddings good size portion. Views out to sea and over the golf course. Overall quite good.

We were welcomed by a bad-tempered receptionist. Well, we all have bad days, but it unfortunately contributes to the overall image of the hotel. Arrived in the room, which is called online as an oasis of calm, we were so disappointed. The room is run down, it's dirty, it's loveless, that the sink may even be called so is an impertinence. We felt very uncomfortable and considering the price paid this room was really an imposition and impudence. Online it is described that you are awakened to the songs of the birds and the sea. Well, not the case when the room faces the parking lot. I think the pictures will speak for themselves. We then checked out early and apart from a comment that there is no money back for the unused nights, there was no more response from the hotel. They must be used to their guests checking out early... never again!!!…

Location is excellent , breakfast is good and the bar is good . The room was ok except the shower was week and when you've been on the beach all day and sand need a better shower and poor light to shave had to shave next to my bed . A couple of the staff where a little bit mardy especially the main receptionist , the balcony / terrace was great for a tea time beer . Ok but won't stay again not as good as I thought it would be , plenty of other places .
