Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WOW WOW WOW, this is an accomodation to boast about. This hotel is perfect. When I say perfect, I mean perfect, it has it all - the view, the restaraunt, the food, the drinks, the decor, the mood, the spa, the treatments - it is top notch! We racked up a massive bill but it was worth every single penny. Room service was spot on, whilst you are getting ready you can order drinks to your room or go down to collect them from the bar. The variety of cocktails is beautiful, I had a passionfruit colada and it was the nicest drink that has ever passed my lips. We had some drinks before our meal in the restaraunt that over looks the beach in the distance over the hypnotising view of the waves rolling in up the beach is the hotel from the witches towering over the bay. It is a magical view. Our meal, we had 3 courses with a complimentary course in the middle, we ate every bit of our food, they served belvedere vodka which is important to a vodka snob like me. The service was very friendly, We had a spa experience that included hot stone massive and it was the nicest experience ever! We were slightly disapointed that our treatment was reduced from 90 to 60 minutes as the extra 30 minutes of the treatment would have really been acccomodated! It will be hard for us to top this hotel in Newquay!

Hotel's Favourite
I needed a few days away to 'reset' the old batteries and hubby was abroad golfing. I flew in to Newquay from a local airport and after much research pre travelling, I settled on Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa based on the website and a great number of positive TA reviews. That said and to be totally honest and although I was familiar with the area, the Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa was a considered 'punt' for me as I have not stayed there previously. The 'punt' paid massive dividends and I have to say was one of the best hotel experiences if not the best hotel experience I have ever had and trust me, I travel an awful lot throughout the UK and abroad on a very regular basis. In summary: The food ... to die for [I booked a three day package with evening meal included]. My room with a balcony and overlooking Fistral Beach .... again to die for. In room facilities ... superb and I have to especially mention the Gaia toiletries which came in 500 ml containers. There is no need to bring any 'from home' toiletries and aside from the quality [superb], the offerings were the most generous size wise I have ever encountered in a hotel environment. The bed ... luxe and so comfy. The TV - great and I have to say easy to navigate the set up and channels which is not always the case when staying in hotel accommodation. The sound of the ocean when resting at night [balcony door open] .... amazing and so relaxing. The spa experience and particularly treatments from Shannon and Rosie - out of this world and to a level I have never ever experienced before. Thank you so much Shannon and Rosie. Your spa is absolutely 'on point'. Pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms - superb. The staff - amazing and a fantastic group of people. The staff are kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. Always thoughtful and interested in their guests. For a solo traveller these 'touches' mean the absolute world. The hotel is truly a safe space for all but particularly the solo traveller. Housekeeping - fantastic. Would I return? - without question and in a flash. I just wish other hotels could 'bottle' what you offer as a company. Fabulous team work and customers at the centre of the operation and I cannot wait to return. Can I say the biggest thank you to each and every member of staff who looked after me as a guest from 13 July to 16 July 2023 in Room 215? I will take your kindness and care with me forever.

I can't speak highly enough of this hotel and its excellent staff! I'm sure as an elderly, somewhat disabled person travelling alone that I was not amongst their "preferred target clientele" but it was FANTASTIC! Absolutely NOTHING was too much trouble...I felt welcome, safe and supported. Kindnesses went well beyond expectations... AND rooms were comfortable, food lovely , spa a treat and views stunning! Brilliant place and have already booked to return.

Great 3 Night stay at Fistral Beach Hotel. A return visit for us first since Covid. Lovely sea view room with Balcony, nice to wake up in the Morning and see the Waves rolling in and also a fantastic view when enjoying a good Breakfast in the Dune Restaurant.Enjoyed the Swiming pool and its facilities which served us well after a few walks along the local Coastal paths.

Another fabulous stay unfortunately briefer than planned. Hubby was poorly and Reception staff Freddy and Amy were so understanding and helpful. Thank you both. The hotel is in a fabulous position with stunning views. Our room and bathroom was very comfortable and spotless. We had everything we needed. Drinks and food are first class. We cannot wait to visit again.

What a lovely birthday get away in a beautiful hotel. From start to finish, the staff here were so welcoming and friendly. We had a sea view room with complimentary cocktails. The pool/spa was very nice as well as the bar and restaurant. We have to mention Tori who looked after my husband and I for dinner and breakfast. She was a real delight with her service and smile. We had more complimentary drinks and nothing was too much trouble. She went out of her way to make it a special stay. The food here was superb, as well as the warm and welcoming feel of the hotel. We have stayed at many hotels across Cornwall, but there was such an inviting atmosphere with beautiful views of Fistral and the wonderful staff. Thank you all and we will definitely return.

What a wonderful stay at this gem of a hotel set above Fistral beach enjoying amazing views. The staff were friendly, engaging and genuinely happy to serve us - a refreshing change from other experiences. Our room was spacious, comfortable & the toiletries - those used in the spa were a treat. The pool area, steam room, sauna & hot tub were immaculate & extremely relaxing.

Good points - Breakfast was good, tasty food, great view of the beach - Economy room is very spacious, well designed, bed is huge, copious amounts of tea, nice little touches in the room - Staff are friendly and welcoming - Massage therapist (Jenna and Micayla) very good at their jobs, very attentive, overall relaxing experience - Spa area is clean, jacuzzi is very warm (possibly too warm) To improve - Clearer clarification on £100 deposit on arrival, this wasn’t made clear upon booking the hotel, happy to pay it but unsure what it covers and very vague with explanation. Upon check out this was released from pending transactions. Overall this was a lovely stay and would highly recommend!! Would love to come back soon!
