Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Cannot fault this B&B. We arrived and were welcomed by Nic with a chilled glass of Prosecco. Rooms were spotlessly clean and lovely bedding and big fluffy towels.
Breakfasts were superb and very tasty with a nice choice. Impressed by the small touches like jelly beans by your bed the first night and mini suntan cream and water and masks and sanitiser available to take.
A big thanks to Yo, who made you feel welcomed, and worked so hard, and always made you smile. We shall certainly return.

I would have rated this a 5/5 had they not cut our trip short 3 days before arrival due to wanting to deep clean. We had to check out early, caused a lot of stress trying to find somewhere new. Having said that they more than made up for it with prosecco, sweets and chocolate on arrival, free parking and a 10% discount.

This hotel is no good if you have trouble walking and climbing as it’s at the top of a never ending hill and a flight of stairs. There is no lift so please don’t over pack like we did!

On arrival we were greeted by a warm and friendly guy who gave us prosecco and told us about the area.

The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and very well decorated.

Our room was small but perfect.

The breakfast menu was extensive but different. French toast was amazing!

This is possibly the best place I have stayed in! Not only is it a wonderful location when staying in Newquay but the the White House offers everything you need to make the perfect holiday.

Nicholas is the perfect host & his staff are wonderful.

The White House is beautifully decorated with gorgeous artwork and furniture so if you love boutique hotels or something extremely unique you will love this place.

We stayed in the presidential suite which was amazing! The view is breathtaking & the room is beautiful the attention to detail speaks for its self with the most beautiful bed which has been raised so you can see the sea.

However being nosy all the rooms are lovely & I would stay in any of them.

The breakfast are the best! Great quality & delicious. As someone who usually struggles to find healthy but delicious there is no problem at the White House. Everything from the cups you have the coffee in to the way it’s presented to you is perfect.

The bar has an excellent selection & is relaxing way to finish off your evening. It also has a lovely terrace to have a drink & enjoy the views.

I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to visit again.

Looking at all the reviews we booked 2 double rooms for early September 2020.
To be perfectly honest we found the rooms just ok, the plumbing both bathrooms was not great at all, and to have no wardrobes in the presidential suite (best suite apparently) was unreal.
Parking is limited to 5 bays with the owner taking one , we were promised 2 bays when we booked but only got one with the presidential suite.
The stairs to the top floor are very steep and tight so don’t fill your suitcases like we did. Breakfast (continental) was ok but limited.
All in all we found this Hotel average.

We were warmly welcomed with a glass of prosecco, there was a parking space for us during the duration of our stay. The room was exceptionally clean with added touches such as sleep spray for the pillows. The owner very kindly made our breakfast earlier so we could attend training at a nearby location. He went above and beyond what was expected. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Couldn't have picked a better place for a short holiday in Newquay.
Nicolas greeted us with a prosecco and a beer for my husband. We had booked a suite and on the morning of our visit, we were told we had a reserved parking space which was really appreciated.
Our room had sea views, sofas and a TV along with a comfy bed. The shower room was small, but very clean and plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was fabulous, a small but varied menu and there was an honesty bar in the lounge area.
Only 6 rooms, we felt perfectly safe, the hotel was spotless .
A short walk to Towan Beach and many restaurants.
We will return if we are in the area again.

From start to finish, our stay was excellent. check in was quick and informative , with the offer of a glass of prosecco on arrival. Stylish and classy décor throughout with cleanliness levels that were easily 10 out of 10. Breakfast menus were printed daily with weather information and tide times for our convenience. Although the typical full English was not on the menu, there were meals like smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and others that you would normally expect a surcharge for in big hotels. Staff and owner was super friendly and rooms were cleaned daily while we were out enjoying our break away.

No expense has been spared on the decor and creation of atmosphere. A warm greeting. The front room has an honesty policy for the bar and packs of cards and board games neatly tucked away in artful tables.
The whole place has a very unique feel and is beautiful throughout.
Breakfast is very good too.
It’s a little bit above and beyond a B&B but for the same price.

This is an exceptional property with a huge amount of attention given to every detail. The room was very stylishly and thoughtfully appointed. A great welcome awaits on arrival with the offer of a glass of Proseco and a smooth check-in. Excellent breakfasts with the most perfectly prepared eggs that I have had in a long time! The location is convenient - a short walk from the harbour and main street, so one is out of the scrum yet close enough to all the attractions.

My husband and I just spent 3 nights in this beautiful establishment. It only has 6 ( I think ) bedrooms so hard to call it a hotel.
We stayed in the library bedroom which is top of the house up quite a lot of steep stairs ( no lift) . The room is quite small.
However there ends the slight criticisms. The room is beautifully decorated with WiFi and lots of stations on the TV. There is a pair of binoculars provided to look out at the seascape from the room. A Nespresso coffee machine is available. Supplies are refilled daily. We had prebooked our parking space as space is limited and on a steep hill so make sure your brakes are ok!!!
Breakfast was served between 9 am and 10.15am. It was superb. A large selection of options cooked to order… I loved the smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs and also fresh fruit.,so tasty. My hubbie loved the omelettes!
Newquay itself is forgettable but it is a wonderful base for travel around Cornwall. We loved Port Isaac , the Eden project and Mousehole.
