This is a little gem of a b&b, Sarah is amazing, there’s nothing that’s too much trouble and it’s like staying with an old friend. She could not of been more helpful,, She genuinely cares about your stay and asked us at every opportunity if there was anything she could do. She even gave me some of her rhubarb to take home with me and my boyfriend a cutting of a tree that he liked. Her communication from booking and throughout the stay was amazing too.

The b&b is clean, warm and so close to everything you want. The beds are so comfy, rooms are quiet and there is everything you need tea, coffee, chocolate, a fridge, 2 towels each and tv with Netflix on etc.

The location is amazing well within walking distance to the town centre for shops, bars and beaches and it is a nice walk across the coast or beach to get there.

Her 3 dogs made our holiday too at the window. We loved them so much Titch, Frankie and Bear and the cat Willow. We had cuddles with them every day and they’re the softest quietest dogs ever.

The breakfast Sarah makes is well worth the money and she makes sure you are happy.

We will 100% be back and stay again, I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Sarah, we will miss you.

Lots of love,
Claire and Owen xx

From the moment we arrived our host Sarah made us feel more than welcome. The room had a high standard of cleanliness and it is obvious how much thought has been put into ensuring guests have everything they need. Breakfast was delicious. Sarah wants to ensure her guests have a memorable stay and no ask would be to much for her.

The location is perfect, away from the noise but everything you need wether it be beaches, bars or restaurants in minutes walking distance. We are already planning a trip back in a few months. Would highly recommend staying at this wonderful B&B

We (3 Adults & 1 Child) stayed for 1 night in Room 6 at a reasonable cost. Which included full, continental or tailored breakfast of choice. Sarah the proprietor, provided excellent service. She pulled out all the stops to accommodate our needs. Only reason for not receiving excellent review was due to a few pet hairs found on bedding. However, I'm sure if we had brought this to Sarah's attention it would have been sorted without any fuss. Apart from this, the room was very clean. Hope to stay here again on our next visit to Newquay.

Thank you. You should have pointed it out. Sometimes pet hairs when a visitor has brought there pets can be horrendous.

If you visit you’ll understand why the title is spelled this way!
Sarah, the owner was fabulous from the first point of contact to the last. Arranging the most accessible room for my disabled wife and I, with the ability to have the car parked immediately outside the door.

The room was well decorated, very clean, had a twin and a king made up ready to go, a small table and two chairs for dining and a level access, easy use shower cubicle in the en-suite.

Nothing was too much trouble for Sarah, she seems to have thought of everything. Lollipops and little chocolates accompanied the tea and coffee making bits, there was a fridge, free wifi, a good size smart tv with access to iplayer, Netflix etc, the beds were comfortable and above all else, covid measures were clearly in place, with signs all over reminding guests of the need to stay safe and follow the guidelines.

Breakfast was delicious, the bacon especially was amazing! Served in the dining room adjacent to the kitchen, Sarah was attentive, friendly and superbly efficient as she served us and the other guests at socially distanced tables.

We stayed two nights with no complaints at all, everything was lovely, we felt safe, welcomed and relaxed. If ever we’re back in Newquay I know where we’ll be staying. Thank you Sarah

As this B&B is reasonably priced, we did not have high expectations however, there were several things we were unhappy with during our stay. When we turned up, the host greeted us by saying we were too early and that we didn't respond to her email (we had responded instantly). She also became more rude and abrupt half way through our trip when we had politely asked her if she could ask the guest next door if they could move their car the next morning, for us to leave. She snapped back at us because she was trying to enjoy her TV show. There was also a used ear bud in the bathroom cabinet. We couldn't open our windows even a jar because we had about 3 dogs trying to get into our room. The barking was also a nice alarm for us in the morning, not that we needed an alarm because we were woken up by the skylight which is in every room. There was no way of covering this so had interrupted sleep as soon as it's daylight. Theres also 9 month old biscuits in the room with the use by dates crossed out. The rugs look very worn and unclean. The breakfast was ok, minus the eyelashes on the napkin and cat hair on the spoon. We felt too uncomfortable to tell her how we felt as it's clear on her negative reviews she is not one to take criticism well. One of us went to get a glass of water and received a full on rant from the host about a member of our group when in fact he had been very polite to her. Wouldn't recommend.

Check in time is 4p.m as stated on the websites. Turning up at 11.25a.m and expecting your rooms to be ready is ridiculous as it does state that you may turn up early but there is no guarantee that your rooms will be ready The man had already before you went out, asked the owner to move his car, and he had said he would do it in the morning before nine. On returning back at the B and B the same man had a aggressive go at me about the car and all I could say was that the other gentleman had already said he would do it in the morning. The young dark haired girl came out for a glass of water, and I stated that I was shocked at his aggression. She replied, he's always short and rude to people and they had a go at him about the way he had been. The car was moved at 8.15a.m and he came out at 9a.m Surprised the skylight kept him awake, as it did nothing but rain the full two days they were here and they have been painted to block the sunlight. The rest of the group appeared and said what a lovely time they had when here, but Toby sat in the car.

We arrived early around lunch time and was greeted by the owner Sarah .. check in wasn’t until 4 but luckily the room would be ready at 2.30pm. Aquarius is conveniently situated and only a short walk to shops, restaurants, pubs and beautiful beaches. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sarah the owner couldn’t do enough for you, so accommodating and helpful, extremely friendly and her cooked breakfast is outstanding.

The guest house itself was quiet, we always travel with earplugs but never needed these.

The only negative we had was a very rude man came to our door to ask us if we could move our car which we said we would, thankfully we only saw him there for one day as I think he could have been a problem with his arrogant and rude attitude and this was of no fault to the guest house itself but sadly witnessed this man blame the owner because we didn’t move the car straight away even though the man wasn’t driving until the following day.

Thank you Sarah for a lovely stay, we will definitely return.

Stayed 2 nights at this lovely guesthouse.
Sarah was really accommodating as there's not many places where you can stay with 3 dogs.
We stayed in the room at the side of the house & it was clean, modern, spacious & really comfy.
Took up the option to have breakfast which was really nice.
Would definitely stay again .

We always have a lovely break away at the Aquarius, Sarah is always accommodating and nothing is too much trouble for her. It’s a place where happy memories can be made. We have been visiting there for the last few years with our dog Casper who always receives a treat after breakfast. Sarah has every measure in place during COVID to make you feel safe and secure. 10/10, would highly recommend a visit and we will be returning again next year. Happy Birthday for this week xx

It was so disappointing- unfortunately after a long drive we had no choice but to stay but did make alternative arrangements for the second night.
The room was very dated, stained carpets and old rugs that didn’t look as if they had been cleaned for years. Decoration was something out of the 1970s and in desperate need of a makeover. We arrived to no reception, a pile of ironing on the floor in the lounge and old toast still in the toaster from the morning.

The bathroom was poor, no shower and instructions to use one downstairs along the corridor. The toilet brush was filthy.
Really noisy and uncomfortable. The contrast with the alternative we have found for very similar cost is stark. I would advise anyone to look elsewhere - it is not worth the money. We had to pay for 2 nights even though we left after one.

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely B&B. Perfect location, just a 10 minute walk to the main centre With lots of shops and restaurants and beaches. Everything was perfect we had no issues whatsoever. The shower was newly fitted and great, always hot water and good water pressure too, lovely and clean! The bed was really comfortable and cosy, I always get quite cold when I stay elsewhere but the temperature of the room was perfect and the duvet was a nice thickness. The room was a nice size for the two of us and had plenty of space to keep clothes. We didn’t choose to have breakfast (just because we aren’t really breakfast people) but that didn’t stop it from smelling amazing every morning. Sarah is very welcoming and so helpful with information on the area. Extremely reasonably priced as well for what we got!
