Lynsey and Andrew are your friendly & welcoming hosts in an elegant Victorian guesthouse situated in a peaceful & quiet location close to Penzance seafront and town centre. With its wealth of character and many original features, Glencree House echoes the romance of yesteryear, combined with the comfort and style of today. We have 7 bright, spacious, recently refurbished guest rooms configured as a mixture of single, twin, family and double rooms - one with a four-poster bed and some with sea views. All rooms are en-suite or have a private bathroom and are equipped with free wi-fi, TV and DVD player, DAB clock radio with iPod docking station, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Your guest lounge area is situated in the streaming sunshine of the bay window at the front of the house and is complete with a library of local information including pamphlets, books, maps and timetables. We are more than happy to sit with you for a few minutes to help plan your visit to West Cornwall. Glencree House is a short stroll to the main shopping & dining streets of Penzance, Penlee House with its gardens and cafe, the 1930's art deco open air lido, cinemas, museums and art galleries to mention a few. We are also conveniently located for the rail station, bus station, harbour and heliport for trips to the Isles of Scilly.

the room was clean, breakfast was great fuel for the rest of the day. Andrew took the time to give us great advise on our trip. Glencree also has guidebooks for the area that Andrew pointed us towards that were much more helpful than visiting the information centre.

My room on the top floor of the Hotel was a nice size and very comfy, although furniture and fittings were a little dated and quirky it only added to the atmosphere of this Old Cornish Hotel. Andrew and Lynsey we're excellent hosts and the breakfasts were fantastic with plenty of choice and local produce used where possible. It's in a great location for all of Penzance and parking is not a problem in this area.

We stayed at the Glencree for 1 night in Room 5. The views from the double room was great straight out to sea and Penzance front. We where met by Andrew very polite good guy who explained everything to us. Very quiet at night and breakfast was really good. We would stat at the Glenncree again next time we find ourselves in Penzance. Parking in on the public street but didn’t have any problems we managed to get right outside.

Double room with en-suite bathroom, parking can be an issue as it’s a busy road. Andrew and Lynsey are great, the place is well organised, would definitely recommend. Nice choice of breakfast, which was delicious.

I stayed at Glencree for two nights and was very impressed. From the little touches like fresh jugs of milk for tea in your room, to a new packet of biscuits each day to a little chocolate each day also. Andrew introduced himself on the first morning, and on the second morning greeted me by my first name and enquired about how my trip to Penzance has been so far. Very impressed overall, would definately go back and would definately recommend! 😁
