Warm and cosy, great cocktails and superbly self-aware decor. From the fabulous suited dog paintings to the lovely shadows cast by the lamps, I could've stayed for hours. Definitely worth returning to. My friends stayed here last time they came and also recommend staying.

We came here on november 2016. City was uncrowded. Very nice and helpful people everywhere. Rooms are cosy and clean. Each is decorated in different and unique style. Close to the city centre. I recommend this hotel for nice romantic trip for couples.

Lots of character, quirky décor, friendly & helpful young staff, fantastic food, comfortable room, good location. Do have dinner here at least once. The steaks are great and the wild sea bass, my wife said, was the best she's ever had. Interesting menu at breakfast. Two small quibbles: on our first morning the food arrived after quite a long wait... More

Great location, walked from station and easy reach of everything we came for, ideal in the pouring rain! Breakfast was great and we ate in the Cornish Barn on the first night which was also very good. Staff all very helpful (and very young) Our room (no.5) was colourful with fun decor and a very comfortable bed.

Room was very trendy and included a tiny kitchenette. Bathroom small but updated and very functional. Perfect location in town center. Expected seagull noise, not bad. Great restaurant. Very friendly staff.

This fabulous restaurant and guest house caught my eye on previous visits to Cornwall and more recently, an article in The Times. So we leapt at the chance to stay here when an impromptu visit to Penzance popped up. We booked and arrived on the same day and were offered the new and gorgeous "Cottage". We arrived late evening after... More

Funky, different, full of character. Room 8 at top of building, with view over bay. Different to your normal hotel room, not a square box. Restaurant serves very nice food with attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit!

The Cornish Barn, which is their restaurant, had a great selection of smoked meat and fish which is prepared in their own smokerie on the premises and I'm told that... More

I had such a super time with my boyfriend and this very well designed boutique hotel. I just fell in love with the decor and our room was number 15 which is new for 2016. Very well designed, massive comfy beds and voluptuous pillows (my boyfriend wanted to take them home). The roll top bath was the icing on the... More
