Spent a few nights here between Christmas and New Year, getting a break from family activities, and loved every second of it. The (mostly very young) staff couldn't have been more welcoming, the room was spacious, stylish and comfortable and we slept wonderfully on the very comfy bed. Everything was clean and we felt very well provided for. Downstairs, the...

Arrived here from the station after horrendous journey because of floods. We were there well before official check in but the room was ready and we were able to relax in our lovely room. Staff could not have been more welcoming. We had dinner in the hotel which was delicious and the cocktails looked fab! Just one night stay this...

We stayed in one of the apartments between Christmas and the New Year, and had a wonderful experience. It was chic with a cosy, beachy feel. The restaurant was excellent - we ate both dinner and breakfast. Would absolutely make another trip from London for a weekend, and would love to see it during summer.

Hi Alison, Thanks for the cracking review! We're thrilled to hear your stay here merited a 5 star review from yourself. In the summer we have a garden bar open along with our table tennis table and table football, it's a bit of a suntrap out there too. If you weren't already aware, we also have hotels & restaurants in...

Came back to Penzance within a month of first visit, and immediately wanted to stay here. The rooms are really nice, and the best thing is the breakfast. It's proper food that tastes of real food and not microwaved fair. The staff are really friendly, and it's just a lovely atmosphere.

Fabulous - nicest place in Penzance I know of. Beautifully styled cosy little house adjoining main hotel restaurant. Like Soho house in Cornwall. Log burning stove & great bathroom, comfy beds. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

This is a quirky bed and breakfast, generally very well presented. Interaction with staff was extremely minimal. Some aspects of the rooms where most attractive, the inclusion of radio as well as TV very satisfying. WiFi slightly erratic. Glasses in the room was good touch, presented in an interesting manner. General feeling about value for money, a bit over priced.

My family and I (husband and 3 year old) stayed here at Christmas. I'm pretty sure Artist Residence is the nicest, most up to date hotel in Penzance and overall we had a good stay. Very good breakfast. We had dinner on Boxing Day and were treated to some tasty dishes. The minuses... Our room was small and cute, but...

A quick getaway before Christmas. Have read about this place a couple of times and wanted to try it out. We weren't disappointed.
