I've been visiting River Valley on and off since 2005. How can I sum up my experience in one word? Kindness. Neal and Bernadette's kindness is genuine. Not manufactured, contrived, or falsified but the real article. Genuine warmth, hospitality and kindness. An atmosphere of informality, yet quiet efficiency. A family tradition, which is embraced by their son and daughter and the other members of staff. I can say no more except to say a heartfelt thank you from my family and myself.
We stay in March 2022. Love this place.so peaceful , quite and staff is wonderful. The long by the river is amazing. Picnic by the river without a sole near by but just nature.Even the park cat is so well behave and adorable. Thank you Zahara
Another excellent stay at River Valley. We stayed in a Lodge for the first time as we usually stay in a caravan and found it brilliant. So quiet at night to aid sleep. The grounds are kept very clean and tidy. There is a fish and chip van that visits two evenings a week.
We spent a week at Riverside House in early May. The whole party thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The extended bungalow was well equipped both inside and out. We used the hot tub every day and tried out all the outside facilities two or three times each over the week. It is by far the best holiday property we have ever stayed in. The property was immaculately clean. (One small niggle was a lack of recycling bins (glass only) and also there was some rubbish left from a previous occupant in one or two of the dustbins, which did not get emptied during our stay.). The holiday was to celebrate some significant birthdays and the property and its amenities went a long way to make it the very special occasion we had hoped for.
I had been going to River Valley for years when it was a touring caravan site, and people were friendly and the whole place busy. But now it is just static caravans and ‘log cabins’ and you don’t see a soul! Our cabin was clean enough, but very dark and the lighting was inadequate. The whole experience seemed to be concentrating on the hot tub outside, though we did not want it. There is no mobile phone reception in the valley at all, so we were reliant on WiFi, but that wasn’t very good either. Would I return again? Probably not! The whole experience was unfriendly and unwelcoming, not a bit how it was when we brought our touring caravan there for about ten years!
Yes most definitely would recommend this place to stay, it's an a idea little rural location if your wanting to explore West Cornwall very much enjoyed are stay many thanks River Valley possibly see you in the future... Big Thanks

We have enjoyed holidaying at River Valley for many years. sadly a change of management has seen a deterioration in the atmosphere at the park. We will not be visiting again, despite the many happy family holidays we have had there. The manager is rude confrontational and aggressive. Last year was the final straw, my partner was diagnosed with cancer midway through our holiday so we had to return home to see the consultant. As we left, the manager confronted our young grandchildren saying if our dog is looked after by them in the non dog friendly caravan they will be asked to leave the park. in fact we had gone ahead to a restaurant to have dinner with our family who were following later, taking the dog home with us. when we asked if we could return to finish our holiday after visiting the consultant we were told no, we thought you were leaving and have cleaned the caravan. after the devastating diagnosis my partner had just received, this added a whole new layer of stress. we did not return. After a long battle, lung surgery and chemotherapy, I am pleased to say my partner has now had two clear scans. Sadly our last ever visit to River Valley will always be remembered for the wrong reasons. It is such a shame.…
A lovely place to stay, nice and peaceful ideal for a base for exploring with easy to access all the main roads, Well looked after immaculately clean accommodation well equipped and with friendly staff available if needed.
Fantastic site, lovely and peaceful with good access to the main roads for sight seeing days out. Tip: don’t rely on your satnav but consult a map as the satnav may send you to the smallest country lanes possible.
