Lovely people, lovely light airy room , great location and very value. Richard and Sarah were Ideal hosts, friendly and welcoming. You could even take a takeaway back with you and use the microwave in the breakfast room to heat it up. Richard is a trained chef so the breakfasts were rather yummy. I had a quiet room at the back of the house which was simply and tastefully decorated with all the usual facilities, a comfy bed and fluffy pillows. I liked the way the use of plastic was kept to a minimum too, with a small fridge for milk, and kilner jars for water, tea, coffee and sugar. Definitely a great find, definitely going again! .

Stayed here for a long weekend in November. Sarah and Richard were friendly and attentive while allowing us our own space. The room was comfortable and cosy- good range of tea making facilities and fresh milk. Bathroom has some dark coloured towels for use with removing makeup which I thought was a great idea and wish more hotels did this. The breakfast room can be used for if you have a takeaway which is a good touch. Breakfast is fantastic, and probably the best thing about here. We recommend the pancakes. As for location you are 2 mins from the sea, 5 mins from local shops and about 20 mins from train station.

We read many positive reviews about the Pendennis before we booked and our expectations were met in every way. Richard and Sarah are delightful hosts, running a well organised guest house. They have tried to think of everything. The room was clean and comfortable. WiFi was good. Other things to mention are fresh milk freely available, fridge in the room, fresh water and other room essentials, including the chocolates (!) topped up every day. A fan to cool the room was very much needed when we arrived. Also, they were kind enough to lend us cushions to take to the Minack Theatre with us. A first rate establishment!!

I’ve tried, but I just can’t fault my stay here! I’d like Richard and Sarah to adopt me! They are the pefect hosts, friendly, caring and attentive without being intrusive. The property is beautiful and has been decorated to a high and tasteful standard. I felt instantly at home in my room, with it’s restful, limited colour palette, and considered attention to detail from the chandelier right down to the lining paper in the drawers. Everything felt generous; lovely toiletries, plush soft furnishings, even a sweet little bottle of fresh milk with a mini fridge to keep it cool! Breakfast was cooked to perfection, with lots of choice, even for vegans & vegetarians. I could have sat in the breakfast room all morning drinking coffee. It was spotless and arranged immaculately. The location is spot on. In a quiet road, but situated conveniently for everything Penzance has to offer within walking distance, but served by a frequent bus service. I walked along the coast through Newlyn to Mouseholebut had to keep stopping as there was a photo opportunity at every turn. I arrived full of anxiety after a hospital visit, but after a single night’s sleep in that soft, warm comfortable bed, I left feeling invigorated and restored. I can’t thank Sarah and Richard enough. They could legitimately charge twice as much as they do, and I’ll definitely return.

This guesthouse can be found on a leafy road in Penzance about five minutes walk from the promenade and its lovely views of nearby Newlyn and Mousehole. It’s easy to find if you’re arriving by car. We booked a standard double, and although it was quite cosy in size, it was beautifully clean and bright. Richard and Sarah, our hosts were really lovely, nothing was too much trouble, and they really make your stay very personal, where you feel individual and special. A lovely personal e-mail was sent when we got home, which really was so nice to receive.
Check in was really easy, we had clear instructions and had no issues at all.
Moving on to breakfast I can honestly say that breakfast at the Pendennis is quite simply the best I have had - anywhere. Beautifully cooked and presented with a good choice. I really enjoyed their delicious bagel seasoning and they dug out the recipe for it for me, which was really thoughtful. All in all, an absolute gem, which we’d definitely return to when we’re back in Cornwall.

Just had a lovely stay at The Pendennis for 2 nights. The large ground floor room had en-suite facilities, a fridge, sofa & a king size bed. All tea, coffee & biscuits were topped up everyday. There was a huge choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit & bread for toast. The selection of hot breakfast items was excellent & poached eggs cooked to perfection. Lovely hosts Richard & Sarah ….thank you for our stay…we will be back 🤩

We recently booked a 4 night stay and wasn’t disappointed. The rooms are a perfect size, clean, with comfortable beds. The choice and quality of food on offer for breakfast was also superb. The owners are very helpful and approachable, and clearly take pride in their guest house. The guest house itself is kept clean and tidy, and is ideally situated for many local amenities, with a 10 minute walk to a local high street, with different restaurants and coffee shops etc. Check in/out was a simple process. For the price, we were very pleased with our booking. All in all, a 10/10 from us and we’ll definitely book here again. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the Pendennis for a week. The breakfasts were incredible, especially for vegetarians and vegans - so many choices of fresh cooked options that we could have had something different all week, how often can veggies say that! The room was a great size, plenty of space for two people. Perfect cleanliness and all facilities there. Really efficient systems for self check in and no trouble for early and takeaway breakfasts when we needed an early start. The location is ideal - just out of the town centre so fairly quiet, but easy walk to town facilities, and the buses and train station are walking distance as well. Richard and Sarah are overall just great hosts, friendly and helpful and creating somewhere you really can feel at home. Absolutely would stay again, any time!

Very comfortable and well run guest house. Our rooms had everything we needed, comfy beds, hot showers, small fridge in each and plenty of storage space. Amazing breakfast choices and everything freshly prepared to order. It's well positioned in Penzance and within easy walking distance of the town, the lido, the galleries and Newlyn, plenty of parking on Alexandra Road. Thank you Sarah and Richard for everything.

What a great place! Sarah and Richard are very friendly and charming owners. The Guest House is located on an elegant street a short walk from Penlee Gardens and Museum, you can park on the street and we always found a space available.
Richard is an excellent chef and personally cooks all the breakfasts himself, with an extensive range of choice to cater for all tastes, and all beautifully cooked. The room and communal areas were very clean and our room was attended to and refreshed every day when we were out. They have a good Covid safety policy that minimises contact as much as possible. All around a great place to stay and we would definitely come back.

We are about 20 minutes from the bus and rail stations. If you walk along the seafront and promenade it is a gentle flat walk. Or you can jump in a taxi for about £4 and be with us in less than 5 minutes.
