Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We recently booked a 4 night stay and wasn’t disappointed. The rooms are a perfect size, clean, with comfortable beds. The choice and quality of food on offer for breakfast was also superb. The owners are very helpful and approachable, and clearly take pride in their guest house. The guest house itself is kept clean and tidy, and is ideally situated for many local amenities, with a 10 minute walk to a local high street, with different restaurants and coffee shops etc. Check in/out was a simple process. For the price, we were very pleased with our booking. All in all, a 10/10 from us and we’ll definitely book here again. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pendennis Guest House. Rooms are lovely, clean and very comfortable bed. Breakfast menu is outstanding and the hosts Richard and Sarah made us feel very welcome and were very helpful with local places to visit. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was very nice and the owners very friendly. I have to say the breakfast menu was perhaps the biggest I have ever seen, so no problems finding something for anyone! The location is very convenient being in walking distance for both Penzance and Newlyn.

The guest house was just what I needed - convenient, clean and friendly. Breakfast is lovely - homemade bread and marmalade a definite treat. Room and ensuite (standard double) would probably start to feel a bit on the small side if I was staying for a week or more with a second person, but for me it was fine. Will definitely be going back.

Wonderful hosts. Fabulous breakfast--lots of choices from full English to American pancakes. Stairs were a challenge, but owner carried our bags. Wonderful, leafy street. Good advice from hosts. Nice room that made the most of limited space. Small fridge, chair. Highly recommend.

Warm welcome, spotless room, excellent breakfasts and very obliging hosts. Just loved our stay and we will be back. Very convenient for the town, the prom and the ferry, with the bus and train stations just a little bit further away

Excellent guest house in a street full of them! Friendly, well-run and clean, the breakfast was the best of our week in Devon & Cornwall. Shower room smaller than my ideal but that is to be expected of guest houses in older buildings. A good night's sleep was had - if guest houses are your preference over hotels/inns then you could hardly do better. Ultra convenient for Cornish Pirates RFC and Penzance AFC!

I would absolutely stay here again. Richard and Sarah went beyond expectations, making sure I had everything I needed, and more. Besides that, they assisted with things to do, how to get there, etc. The guest house is near town, but on a relatively quiet leafy street. The only drawback is no elevator; they help with luggage.

Very lovely. Friendly, spotlessly clean, comfortable and a fabulous breakfast with excellent choice. Great attention to detail. Everything you could hope for in a Guest House. If I ever go to Penzance again, this is where I will stay.
