Stayed for a 3 night break. Positives: Clean, comfortable bed, good shower, excellent breakfast with lots to choose from, on-site parking (a rarity in Polperro), dog-friendly, residents lounge & bar, welcoming hosts. Negatives: None

Stayed here for a night whilst on business in Polperro. The owners Chris and Anna were lovely, very welcoming and knowledgable about the local area. My room was comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need whether a 1 night or weeks stay. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best I've had in a hotel or b&b....

This is a really well run b&b in the heart of Polperro. Very nicely apportioned rooms with good quality amenities including bath robes and slippers. There's a bar for night caps and has the benefit of hassle free parking (yes!). The owner Anna was very welcoming and the brekkie was excellent. Can't ask for more than that.

Totally understand and appreciate what has been written by the reviewer (Joanne dated 14.11.16). My partner and I also had the 'misfortune' of coming across Anna in our lifetime by staying at the Penryn House, Polperro. The place is clean although basic and dated somewhat and the breakfast is very good (as everybody will say) but unfortunately that's were the...

Dear Fairview2016 As you can expect, I am a little surprised by your comments about me - but as we were not open in December, I cannot help but wonder if you actually stayed here. So for our potential guests reading this - we have totally refurbished this bed and breakfast lovingly over the last 15 years and our rooms...

The location is ideal. Polperro has restricted vehicle access and you can drive and park at the hotel which makes things a lot easier. A short walk to the fantastic pub The Blue Peter and a lovely meander into the village. The hotel itself was very nice. Very clean, nice decor and where bits were a bit dated, the owners...

Thank you for your nice comments about our bed and breakfast – it is good when you are writing to “stick the knife in” you do actually mention the important bits. I, obviously, would like to comment about this over-reaction on your part to the two times we met – the first time at breakfast when you sat down, ordered...

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Hosts Anna & Chris are lovely people and very helpful. The room was beautiful with the most comfortable bed ever. Breakfast was fabulous with a great choice. The bathroom had a shower over the bath. We stayed here years ago and can honestly say this was a wonderful and relaxing stay. Anna arranged flowers...

What a lovely hotel Penryn House is. Anna and Chris (proprietors), friendly and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble. Dog friendly a huge bonus for us. Our room was warm, quiet and comfortable (especially the bed)! Spotlessly clean with a lovely selection of complimentary drinks and toiletries. The lounge was very cosy, with the wood burning stove and tea...

Cleanest place we have stayed in (ever) !!!! Do not be put off by the parking instructions , they are needed but there is loads of room really. The early check in was very welcome and a friendly greeting for us and our dog. The room was well appointed possibly on the small size but had everything we needed. Excellent...

We stayed for 2 nights with our Golden Retriever and were made very welcome. Just a short walk up the road from the pretty harbour, pubs and restaurants and with parking too! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the en-suite looked newly fitted, albeit a bit small (but this isn't a criticism - just a clever conversion to offer private...
