2 of us stayed here recently. It's well located close to the walk and the centre of the village. The reception rooms are imposing but, as with the rest of the hotel, needs bringing up to date....which I'm sure the new owners will do. Reception is...More
The service was really nice. The landlady was very helpful in meeting us to help us with our luggage and late check in. The hotel has a private car park. Just a word of caution for inexperienced drivers that it is very typical of Cornish...More
Stayed in room 5...if you are a single traveller with a car I cannot believe there is a better value hotel on the planet...highly recommended. Furthermore...Polperro is the most beautiful place to stay in Cornwall .. with great options for eating at night...
We have visited this hotel several times before. It's big plus being just about the only hotel in Polperro with a car park. It was always a little quirky with the rooms being fairly compact and odd shaped, which we never found a problem. The...More
Pleasantly surprised. Room was of a good standard. Cleaned and freshened every day. Bill & Manchu very welcoming. Centre of Polperro. Close to pubs. Free Parking. Very cheap. £52. But if we had gone into Claremont website we would have only paid £45. Breakfast not...More

Hi there, the front of the hotel looks across the main narrow street that leads down to the harbour and across from the car park. This street is not busy at night as Polperro becomes much quieter as the evening progresses as all the daytrippers leave and only those staying in the village are left. The view is of the opposite site of the coombe which is made up of houses and gardens rising up the valley side. There is no view of the sea from The Claremont as this is further down the road. Our room was No 7 which had twin beds, en suite facilities and was clean and fresh. Whilst there, have a meal in the Blue Peter pub and if possible take the bus to Polruan and the ferry to Fowey. Enjoy the Cornish hospitality.
