We arrived after a 12 hour journey with Shearings, our room wasn't made up but we were swiftly allocated another which had a bit of a musty smell but was otherwise OK. In the morning we couldn't get the hot water to work in the shower and couldn't get the plug out of the sink

Great value great food, on the list for another visit. Great view of the beach, perfect location busy but not crowded, loved it, and loved St Ives, people and staff very friendly and polite. Beautiful and stunning sunsets would be a perfect place to eat outside.

Always wanted to see St Ives and as is a very long distance from where I live decided to go for Coach Holiday. Took feeder coach from Northampton which then went down to London where we picked up the main one to St Ives. After a 12 hour trip door to door we arrived. Hotel very

Food was generally tasty, nicely-cooked, and well-presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the service at the bar was painfully slow; I’d suggest some proper training would help. Our bedroom was reasonably clean, comfortable and warm. Sadly the en-suite

We nominate this hotel with the UK’s Rotten Tomatoes Fawlty Towers Award. Many refer to this hotel as a time machine. Yes! Back to 1975. The series ‘Fawlty Towers’ was a comedy series. This hotel is a joke. The first room we were given the water came out rusty. The second

Dear Guest, Thank you for your very recent review on your stay here at The St Ives Bay Hotel. I am very concerned to read that you did not enjoy your stay here and the facts that you have taken the opportunity nominate the hotel with the UK’s Rotten Tomatoes Fawlty Towers Award. I do take your comments on board and I really appreciate your feedback as this is a massive part of our successful hotel and business as a company. I do disagree to the statement of which you made saying this hotel is a complete joke. I have spoken to all my staff of whom you came in contact with and I am sorry to say that you did not bring anything to our attention during your stay which is what I find most disheartening because if you had myself or our staff would have done our upmost to make your stay an enjoyable and comfortable one. The Car Parking is charged at £6.00 per 24 Hours and this you will find is the cheapest in St Ives itself, I am further sorry to read that you felt as though you had to leave us by 10am on the morning after your stay. If you had asked to have a later checkout as mentioned to your Guest Information then this is something of which we could have organised for you. I really wish you had taken the time to speak to me during your stay and all of which you have now brought to my attention could have been rectified straight away. I wish you all the best with your future travels. Kind Regards, Daniel McDonald Hotel General Manager

Hello Diane. Yes you can get about by bus. There are small white buses also the double decker's which will take you further afield on the bend just down from the hotel. We found the bus service handy and they had one or two staff members offering advice where to get to on the small bus. You also have a small train branch line which will get you out of st Ives in 12 minutes. This is just below the hotel next to a car park. Pleased to be of help.

Thank you for your question. We are able to provide tables of 2 and this can be arranged at the point of booking and added on as a request. Or you can contact the hotel a few days before arrival and we can arrange if possible. There aren't toiletry's in the room however we do have some available from reception if required. Kind Regards Carl

Hello and thank you for your question, If you have booked a standard single then this would not have a sea view, however if you do wish to upgrade then you can do this through Shearing's. We look forward to seeing you in August.
