Stayed 4 nights from march 26th Don't bother with overpriced hotels when you have this fabulous B&B within walking distance of the centre. Bright, clean and great owners with a fab breakfast! Close to all great places to eat and a loverly walk back.
It's the kind of place where every day at breakfast you chat with the owners and the other guests about what you did yesterday, what you're doing today. I personally usually stay in more anonymous places but I certainly didn't feel uncomfortable and I can see why people might stay there for that very experience. There's certainly the sense that they want you to be happy and have a good time. I stayed in Carn Brea which is the smallest room. There's really just a small space to walk around the bed. I was alone so I was fine but I wouldn't particularly recommend it to a couple. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed really. There was a fan in the bathroom that kept me up all of the first night which was a bit miserable really but I managed to turn it off on the subsequent nights - the switch is high up on the wall. There's a DVD collection I didn't personally make use of. There's also a fridge on the landing you can store things in. Breakfast was good with a different special every day but I just stuck to the English breakfast. I think there's on-site parking. If you're coming by train like myself, it's a bit of a hike up a couple of hills with your luggage but it can't be helped. On the plus side, the walk down is super easy. I found it a bit expensive for what it was but I felt that way about accommodation in St Ives generally when I was looking. I think it's a good option. It's convenient for the train and the buses which are just down the road and the people are nice.…
It was lovely to go back & stay in the Trencrom Room which is spacious & has fantastic views over the bay. We had a lovely bay window which had 2 seats to sit & look at the beautiful views over the sea. There was also a settee in the room. The bed was large & comfy. The room was very clean. There is a fridge on the landing for milk for each room. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide choice & a daily special & the cooked breakfast was exceptional. The breakfast room was spaced out so we felt safe. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday in passing & Simon & Lyndsey were lovely & put a banner & balloon up at our table. Parking on site is a bonus. Lyndsey & Simon were very friendly & welcoming once again & we wouldn't stay anywhere else in St Ives due to this & the stunning room & views.…
Excellent hosts. Very comfortable room with power shower, TV, DVD films, selection of drinks , biscuits and chocolate. Fridge to store fresh milk and wine. Large breakfast choice including daily specials eg . Blueberry pancakes with crispy bacon drizzled with maple syrup. Your table is available in the evening to eat your take away and own wine. Private parking and only 8 minutes walk to town and beach. Nothing to much trouble . We will return ! Sheila and Ian
Just had 3 nights at Blue Sky b&b and still fabulous. Stayed in The room “Trencom” which is on the front of the building,we had great views of the bay, sea. Large room with bay window massive comfortable bed. Lindsey cooks a fab breakfast with a great choice and daily special, served by Simon who’s hosting if great, friendly, professional and he’s very welcoming. Will be back next year.
The owners of this B and B Lynsey and Simon are very welcoming, professional also friendly ,making you feel right at home. The room “Trencom” is on the front of the building,we had great views of the sea. With less than a 5 minute walk downhill to st ives you are in the town . Our room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb! Also a daily special to choose from which was delicious 😋 We cannot fault anything about Bluesky ,The price charged for B and B is good for what you get and we felt comfortable to ask if there was anything we needed to ask. 10/10 ..And yes we would certainly make this our first choice to stay at when visiting St Ives again. BONUS: FREE PARKING ON SITE 😊
Lindsay and Simon are wonderful hosts. They provided the most homely accommodation and the super range of breakfast options, all of which were brilliant cooked. Among the many virtues of staying at Blue Sky are parking availability, bus and train services within walking distance and access to St Ives harbour and shops with a ten minute walk. We look forward to future visits and the welcoming hospitality that Lindsay and Simon offer. Janet & Clive
Great to be able to park at the property. Pleasant walk into the town. Comfortable room with a balcony which was nice. Very clean and presentable. Comfortable bed. Nice helpful host and great breakfast. We enjoyed our stay.
For a wonderful B&B try Blue Sky - Lyndsey & Simon offer a warm, professional yet friendly welcome - super comfortable rooms ( we love Godolphin with the balcony ! ) Parking , fab breakfast ( all the options PLUS a delicious daily special ) - FAB
Such a beautiful place, room Trencrom was fantastic with very beautiful views of the sea. Windows open really wide so you can sit and have a drink and look at the sea. The owners were fantastically helpful and the breakfast was amazing. They provide drinks in the room and fresh milk and if you run out of anything they replace it. We really enjoyed our trip and where we stay makes a big difference to your experience and I have to say the Blue Sky B&B was excellent. It’s on a hill so if you have mobility issues it might not be what you want but is only a ten minute walk into town
