We were so lucky to get a late booking at this b&b in VERY busy St Ives. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really welcome. Upon arrival Lindsey went through the Covid precautions with us. In addition there are hand sanitisers at the entrance to the house and the breakfast room (where you are allocated socially distanced seating for the duration of your stay). The room we had was really nice with a balcony (evening sunshine) and sea views. The breakfast was excellent with pretty much everything you would want plus a daily special which is a nice touch. Simon gave us some tips for things to do in the areas we were planning to go which was really handy. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this b&b for a stay in St Ives and feel sure we will return in the near future.

We are frequent visitors to St Ives but this was our first stay at the Blue Sky. We received a warm welcome from Simon and were able to park our car in front of the property off the road which was a bonus. Our room, the Godolphin, was a good size, very clean and comfortable with plenty of extras including tea coffee toiletries, the use of a fridge and a good selection of games films and CD's. (DVD player is in the TV) There was a small balcony with a view of the sea. The bathroom was modern with probably the best walk in shower we have had in a B&B. The breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and daily specials. The property is on a hill but only a 5-10 minute walk from the sea front, shops bars and restaurants. Great place to stay with a homely feel - We would deffinetly go back.

Just come back from another great stay at blue sky (visit number 5) Lyndsey explained the new changes due to covid 19 plenty of hand sanitisers good social distancing at breakfast apart from that everything was as normal as it could be.
Breakfast was first class as usual with plenty to choose from and daily specials. Our room was the trencom with a sea view very clean with plenty of room. Small fridge outside room with a daily flask of fresh milk ( each room had their own diferent coloured flask). Simon and Lyndsey had emailed us a few days before we arrived with the advice to pre book any resturants we wanted to visit as most places were not doing walk ins, good job we did as it was still very busy. Only a 5 minute walk down into town and the beach but still quiet at night.
I would definatly recomend this place to anyone wanting a quality place to stay with great hosts in st ives. So good we have already booked again for next year.

It's the kind of place where every day at breakfast you chat with the owners and the other guests about what you did yesterday, what you're doing today. I personally usually stay in more anonymous places but I certainly didn't feel uncomfortable and I can see why people might stay there for that very experience. There's certainly the sense that they want you to be happy and have a good time.
I stayed in Carn Brea which is the smallest room. There's really just a small space to walk around the bed. I was alone so I was fine but I wouldn't particularly recommend it to a couple. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed really. There was a fan in the bathroom that kept me up all of the first night which was a bit miserable really but I managed to turn it off on the subsequent nights - the switch is high up on the wall.
There's a DVD collection I didn't personally make use of. There's also a fridge on the landing you can store things in. Breakfast was good with a different special every day but I just stuck to the English breakfast. I think there's on-site parking. If you're coming by train like myself, it's a bit of a hike up a couple of hills with your luggage but it can't be helped. On the plus side, the walk down is super easy.
I found it a bit expensive for what it was but I felt that way about accommodation in St Ives generally when I was looking. I think it's a good option. It's convenient for the train and the buses which are just down the road and the people are nice.

Very close to beach and affordable price rooms. The host was very good and the breakfast included in the price had many good options to try on. Flexible check in time is plus point. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

Such a beautiful place, room Trencrom was fantastic with very beautiful views of the sea. Windows open really wide so you can sit and have a drink and look at the sea. The owners were fantastically helpful and the breakfast was amazing. They provide drinks in the room and fresh milk and if you run out of anything they replace it. We really enjoyed our trip and where we stay makes a big difference to your experience and I have to say the Blue Sky B&B was excellent. It’s on a hill so if you have mobility issues it might not be what you want but is only a ten minute walk into town

Whilst we were visiting Lindsey & Simon who are family, we were treated as guests of the B&B.

We had a truly wonderful stay, nothing was too much for any of the guests when they had questions on where to visit, local restaurants, local trips and so on.

Breakfast was delicious. A special was on the menu every day as well as a fresh selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereal & toast which you could help yourself to,

We stayed in the Godolphin room, it had a super king bed & balcony which had a fantastic view. The room is comfy, modern and spacious. The en-suite bathroom had the best shower as well as being spacious compared to other B&Bs I’ve visited before!

The B&B has free parking out front and is only a 5 minute walk into the centre of St Ives. Perfect location as well as gorgeous views out the front.

There is a living room with a selection of books & DVDs if you wanted to relax down there instead, also free secure WiFi!

The other guests were also complimentary of their stay in the B&B and also of the hosts as we were talking over breakfast.

Can’t wait to visit next year!

Arrived wondering what to expect needn't have worried. Not only is everything as good as I remembered but with all the extra stuff they have to do to have guests the service is even better. The room is perfect the food is 1st class. What though makes it even better is the personal touch like sending you an email to give you a heads up about booking local restuarants in advance due to how busy it is in St Ives. Also sending you contact details for a lot of the restuarants. Would recommend Blue Sky to anyone

Just returned from our second visit and it was every bit as good. A lovely B&B with everything you need for a great holiday - parking, close to station, town & beaches, plenty of choice at breakfast from hot food to fruit, yogurts, cereal and a daily special, such as blueberry pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and a breakfast stack consisting of avocado, egg, bacon, mushroom & tomato on sourdough toast.
Rooms are all well presented, Trencrom, has fantastic sea views. Owners Simon & Lindsey are very welcoming and friendly without being overbearing and have lots of local info and tips if needed. Thanks again for another great stay.

Came here last year for the first time enjoyed our stay so much we came back again for three nights. We stayed in Brea Carn room again really clean, bright and had everything we needed. We love it here the owners are really friendly and welcoming they chat but aren't too much and very relaxed environment. Breakfast is fresh & there's also specials every day along with continental breakfast items which you can help yourself too. Location is great right near the town/beach. Parking too which is gold dust in st Ives. We got engaged and the owners got us a bottle of bubbly and put it in our room which was so kind and thoughtful. Thank you for another great stay Simon and Lindsey we will be back!

Hi our Trencrom room definitely has a sea view across the bay and if you send your e-mail we can send a picture of it from the room. We are closer to town than the Chy An Albany hotel but you do still have to come up hill to reach us. I hope that this helps. Kind regards Lindsey and Simon

Are children allowed? Do you have a twin room?
Answer from BlueSkyBNB

Hi, Yes we allow children in one of our rooms. There is a sofa bed which is suitable for two small children or one older child/adult. We also have a travel cot which is suitable for two of our rooms. Both Trencrom room and Godolphin room can be twin rooms if required.
