Had week again , place lovely and clean and staff all 100% as all ways , stayed few times now , and back again in August for 2 weeks , can’t Waite thanks to all staff , and sure everything will be as clean and nice as every stay we have had ,
Definitely the best site I have stayed at. Facilities are second to none and exceptionally clean. The surroundings are well maintained and the staff outstanding. A really high quality site. Bus from site into St Ives. Fresh croissants in the morning are a bonus. Could not fault it at all - can’t imagine finding better.
We have been visiting Cornwall for our short holidays for the last 10 years and this is by far the best campsite we have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived the reception staff were super friendly and on hand to help with any enquiries. We were then welcomed by Julie and Clive. They are an asset to Trevalgan! They were incredibly welcoming and friendly - it really made our stay! The site is immaculate - including the toilets. We had a fantastic stay! The only downside is that we wished we stayed longer.
The strict rules and patronising attitude of the staff spoiled this site. The facilities are of a very high standard for a campsite but this is not a friendly site to stay on. There was no atmosphere, and we felt like we were being watched all the time, didn't help we were close to the reception I suppose. I felt like they were waiting for us to put a foot wrong and they would pounce, which they did a few times. Wardens on patrol at 9pm making sure you're not too loud or walking around, I totally agree about noise levels late at night but this was like a police state. We called them the fun police, the goblins! Wouldn't stay here again.
Had to cancel my booking 7 months before the date and this park charged a £50 admin fee! BEWARE of this extreme greed when you book. I would understand a charge like this maybe 3 or 4 weeks before the booking, but not 7 months. It’s not like they can’t cancel my booking and re-book someone else in that time. Not saying they didn’t follow their own terms (which the owners may respond to this review stating this), hence my warning to others, beware of this park and their unusually high (& greedy) cancellation policy
Its difficult to write this review, the site was absolutely spotless, you can see the owners take pride in the appearance and cleanliness. Facilities were lovely, the park and playing field were well kept and the bus that runs into St. Ives was very handy. I read a few reviews about the strict rules and the "fun police" but did not pay much attention to them as i thought they must be playing music or making too much noise and not being respectful/considerate etc. We travelled as a family of 3, myself, my husband and my daughter and by 9pm each night the staff would start their rounds monitoring the camp and would do this multiple times through the night. Well if i did! We were told to put outdoor games away at 9pm as swingball was a "loud" game. Kids could not stay in the park past 9 and had to return to their tents. We were having our dinner a little late after returning from the town and were spoken to quite rudely about having a bbq at this time (around 9:30) and could we not bbq this late again. We have a small TV in our caravan which we had on one evening and there was a knock on our awning to ask to turn it off. Myself and my daughter enjoy taking a walk around the site when its getting dark to see if people have put lights around their caravans/ tents etc (its something we have always done) and we were asked if we were using the facilities and if not could we return to our tent. I could go on, It is a gorgeous site and like previously mentioned you can see the owners take pride in their site. However we felt the fun was absolutely sucked out of our holiday.…
Our first time here what a wonderful site very helpful and pleasant staff , beautiful facilities and a great position for a 1.20 hr costal walk to st Ives the site offers a bus service too which makes it easy to get back. We will definitely be returning than you for a lovely week.
Spent 8 nights end of season at Trevalgan Touring Park near St Ives. 5* for cleanliness, immaculate showers, toilets and washing up area. Grounds were very well looked after and very attractive. The all service plots had a hedge between each plot offering privacy. Quiet and peaceful site. Staff friendly and approachable. Excellent bus servic to and from St Ives which was particularly appealing as during petrol crisis. Can't fault the site, highly recommend. We enjoyed our stay very much.
This site is second to none for cleanliness, facilities - and this year an even friendlier welcome. The people keeping the site up to scratch were also happy to have a chat, check out whether we were enjoying ourselves, make a fuss of our dogs and generally make us feel at home. Such a perfect situation on the coast, easy to reach St Ives and to escape the crowds for the beautiful walks in all directions. end of season always brings the risk of a few showery or misty days but this year we had a good spell of weather all but the odd few hours. we'll see you again in 2022 all being well.
Great facilities on the campsite, toilet and shower blocks were very clean with extra showers for when the main block is being cleaned. Pitch sizes were ideal and location was lovely. However, the games room was not open and the hairdryers were made unavailable due to covid. There is also a mask rule in reception and only allowed in one at a time, which is a little strict. I feel that the reduction in facilities could have been reflected in the price, which is premium. Our party were also questioned a couple of times as to whether we were really staying, which made us feel a bit unwelcome. Staff were apologetic, but it did put a bit of a downer on the holiday. The site has a pizza van twice a week, which was a nice touch, reception is well stocked and the pastries made each morning are delicious. There is a bus that goes from the campsite to St Ives and back, each hour from 10am - 10pm, every day, which we found really useful as parking is very limited in St Ives. Overall, a really nice site, good for a relaxing holiday, great facilities and handy bus service, just let down a little by the restrictions.…
