Only a short 3 night stay but really impressed with this site. Very friendly welcome in the shop and the facilities were excellent. 20 min walk down hill into St Ives. Pub at the end of the lane was good value and food was good.

Friendly enough, but basically all facilities closed on 24 September, until April/May 2017: we were here for another 10 days The site is clean, and pretty well managed, though our pitch was frequently waterlogged owing to poor drainage. We were both here for (separate) work related reasons, both needing pretty comprehensive wifi and data download capabilities. On arrival we were... More

My sister and I decided to do a camping trip (which I had personally not done since a teenager) We borrowed our mums tent. Not being campers we didn't know you needed to re-spray a tent with a water proof solution. We basically arrived with a none water proof tent in wet torrential weather conditions! The maintenance night team were... More

New to caravanning this was our first grass pitch and we had trouble leveling the van on the soft, wet ground. NOT the site's fault and they dealt with the situation very well. Later half the site (and some local properties) lost power in a spectacular thunderstorm during our visit! Again not their fault. The amenities were the best we've... More

We have camped here for the past few years and it has always been impeccably clean and a well run site...which it still is. I have to be honest though and feel that since our last stay a year or so ago the place has slipped somewhat. The shower rooms are starting to show signs of age and need re... More

As all ways spotlessly clean staff are allways very helpful. there is the odd members of staff that need a little help with customer people skills not even a hello to a child that waves at them. That aside we had spot on time there bus down to stives is a good bonus. Will be returning next year shame all... More

We stay every year for a week's camping in Cornwall; and this is one of the best campsites we've used, which is why we've used Polmanter for the past few years. Excellent staff, well-run, clean modern facilities and plenty to do on-site. Pitches are private; often hedged in with plenty of room for our large family tent. Our young children... More

We have been visiting this site regularly for the past 35 years! Our first visit was in our 2 man tent,(with a retriever)! Then our 6 man family tent to now our caravan with family and grandchildren. The site has improved constantly and positively over the years making it impossible to beat and genuinely unable to fault. Always clean and... More

We stayed at polmanter for a week in September. It is an excellent site easy walking to st Ives. Clean washrooms with everything required. Good pitches with hedges between. On site bar and a swimming pool. Would highly recommend this site.

We were looking for a campsite in the West of Cornwall and this was recommended to us by a work colleague who comes every year. As not very experienced campers we wanted somewhere with plenty of amenities and this certainly has. Knowledgeable and helpful staff, nice, clean toilet & shower blocks, well maintained grounds and a good bar/restaurant. Pleasant walk... More
