We stayed in Room 3 for 5 days. The room itself was large and comfortable with a stunning view onto the seafront and harbour. The location of the b&b was also very convenient. Only a 2 minute walk to the seafront and a 5 min walk to tasty restaurants. However a few points to note. No breakfast was offered due to COVID, which is understandable however not reflected in the price. We didn't meet the hosts at any point during our stay. We had an email to check we had arrived and if we required anything. Considering the size of the b&b you would think a face to face 'hello' might be more hospitable. Unfortunately the bed had the heaviest of duvets on. With no blanket alternatives. I feel that maybe this should have been considered a little more carefully since we visited in the summer. And finally, we recieved no room service the entire time. Which meant the floor became quite sandy, we ran out of toilet paper and we had to wash mugs/cups in the bathroom sink with no dish soap provided. I feel that a check in mid-stay would have been nice to top up toilet paper, fresh cups etc etc. I also feel that the lack of room service should have been reflected in the price. The stay was pleasant but by no means luxury.…
We had a really excellent experience at Seaforth, for me it’s the ideal combination of location, views of the harbour and attention to detail of all the places to stay in St Ives. The owners were really friendly and made us feel very welcome on arrival, we settled into the room (room 3 - NICE!) quickly and were really impressed overall. The bed was big and comfortable for a great nights sleep, the little table and chairs in the bay window were perfect for a morning coffee. We even woke up at 5am to catch the sunrise above the harbour, a lovely experience. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in the centre of St Ives, with quick access to the harbour and Porthminster beach whilst being able to fully relax in a very comfortable environment.
This place is stunning, clean, warm, homely, relaxed, with a brilliant breakfast. Deb and Carl have amazing local knowledge which helped us have an even better time in Cornwall. We hope to visit again soon, thank you!
just spent my third or fourth 3-nighter with Carl and Deb, proprietors of Seaforth...some things never change: as always, they were super hospitalble, great with suggestions for day trips, and have kept their perfectly located B&B in wonderful shape. Bravo, amigos!!!
This was our third visit staying at Seaforth. Lovely sea/harbour view from bedroom, water and fresh milk in the fridge, great breakfast and Debbie and Carl as welcoming as ever. Thanks for another lovely stay. Tracy and Geoff.
