As for facilities, St Ives Holiday Village has everything you could want during a Cornwall holiday. You won’t have to worry about the kids getting bored with our games room, featuring a pool table and all the latest video games. We also have a children’s play area just for kids, and you can let them swim in our large indoor heated pool without worry as we always have life guards on duty.In the evenings, you’re welcome to enjoy the nightly entertainment we offer at The Rafters Club, our very own club where we put on dancing, discos, competitions and more! You can also order you and your family some pub grub or get a takeaway.

Stayed over the Christmas period. Turned up to be greeted with "has anyone called you". No... well we are closing all facilities/entertainment on the park you can either go home or stay. No partial refund. Basically like it or lump it. Cant really just go home with two excited kids in the car. We arrived at 2pm so they had all morning to contact us. There were 4 members of staff in the reception when we arrived who didn't appear busy. Pros: Clean lodge, good heating & well equipped throughout. Cons: Lodge is small for a 3 bed platinum. Hot tub is more like a warm tub you can't control the temperature, roof of lodge is made of tin apparently so when it rains it is like being inside a tin shed and very loud. Wish I could upload videos to highlight the noise. You have to drive anywhere to get anywhere. With no facilities open you feel isolated. Nothing to do in the evenings apart from the warm tub. Booked through hoseasons. Never again. They constantly lie and stated pool was closed due to covid restrictions. Actually the pool was just closed. Feel really let down by the site. Booked this site due to pool, facilities and entertainment. All closed without any notice and no real care. My advice dont ever book through hoseasons and try to find somewhere closer to st ives/shops if everything on site is closed.

Hello Tim I am sorry you were not contacted by your booking agent regarding the forced changes at our park. Hoseasons are a well-respected agency who let independent holiday parks throughout the country and they are very discerning as to who they choose to be included in their brochure. They are normally extremely efficient and my only criticism of them would be that they do not give us your contact details in order for us to inform of any changes, which explains why we did not contact you ourselves. I am sorry that you did not get what you had anticipated from your holiday, but I am not sure that this is of our making. Pat Guest Relations

With our disability payments we decided after such a difficult year with our extremely hard to entertain continually ADHD and autistic son we would need really relaxing break so whereby this allowance could’ve bought a laptop PC, or other sensory devices that we already have that we would use money money to escape Dorset and go to Cornwall for Christmas Boxing Day and then relax as a family. Our son has had a awful year being bullied in school so it’s just really lovely to come and connect with nature for him. This holiday village could not be more perfect it has hot tubs on each lodge and believe me if autism needs one thing it’s continual movement of water to satisfy and relax. To see a 10-year-old finally back within himself is wonderful and I couldn’t wish for a better holiday at this time of year with my other half and the boy it’s wonderful.

Hello "Cycle Freak" What a lovely review! Thank you, we really appreciate it. Your 5 star praise will mean so much to the manager, Darren and his team at the park. They all work extremely hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. I am delighted to hear that the park and the lodge suited your family and more especially your son. With this in mind, perhaps a re-visit to the park is on the cards for 2021. Pat Guest Relations

We stayed in a 2 bed Platinum plus lodge with Hot Tub for 3 nights in October 2020...the lodge itself was very nice. You will not get to use the hot tub on the first night as they need to drain and refill the water once the previous guests leave which is understandable due to covid but they should not charge you for a hot tub for 3 nights (in our case) when you can only use a hot tub for 2 nights. Even when the hot tub was on full power is was only warm...probably around 28 - 30 degrees. Feedback from the lady on reception was that even prior to covid guests will not be able to use the hot tub upon check in as it would not be warm enough. The pool was closed as the heater/pump was broken and they could not replace the part. The pool was closed from Weds - Monday (at least). So when it was pissing down there was no ability to use the facilities, there's nothing else to do at the park. The entertainment area was like taking a step back in to the 80's. The MC (Steve) was very good though and engaged well with the guests. Will not stay there again.

Hello Nick Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such an honest review. I hope I don’t sound as if I am making excuses, but there are some things we can do very little about. The hot tub water replacement has nothing to do with Covid - this is a general Health and Safety procedure which has been carried out ever since we first installed the Hot Tub Lodges several years ago. It must be borne in mind that the return to normal temperature is dictated by the outside temperature, which in October can be much lower. Please also bear in mind that we do not make a daily charge for these tubs and that the situation is the same for everyone. The problem with the swimming pool is nothing more sinister than a part failure as you say and it was rectified as soon as we could get a replacement. These things are very unfortunate when they happen, but are impossible to anticipate. With regard to your thoughts on the clubhouse - what I like about Tripadvisor is our guests' ability to be able to express their opinion without fear of objection or contradiction. I am sorry you feel let down but I am not sure this was wholly of our making. Pat Guest Relations

Stayed in the 2 bedroom platinum lodge with hot tub it was like a home from home amazing kitchen with a larder everything looked new and crazy clean fireplace walk-in wardrobe en-suite bathroom 2nd bathroom was good size too a separate utility room. so warm and cosy was happy to chill and hang out So spacious the pictures do not do it justice. Amazing place to visit, St Ives has so many beautiful places to visit from the beach to the Tate and Penzance is up the road St Michael Mount is a must. Due to Covid some activity’s had been cancelled but we had so much to do. Would definitely love to come back in the spring/summer.

Just had our two weeks stay (14th year) and had a fantastic stay.Platinum four bed with hot tub x 3.Very clean as usual and well equipped.Didnt use the club house as we had four under fives staying in our bubble and they would have never sat still and wouldn't have been fair on them, wasn't a problem under the circumstances we just had quality time in our lodges.Hot tub was well maintained and on one occasion couldn't use it for one day but wasn't a problem once again these things happen and our safety came first. Was impressed with email updates on what was happening or not happening on site and check in time. Used the shop a couple of times and the lady was lovely. Thankyou to all the staff for making our stay a safe and a memorable one. Booked for next year before we left 50 weeks and counting.
