The location is great. The room had a sea view and the name of the beach that was just a few metres from the guest house - Porthmeor. The centre is just 10 min walk The room was modern and provided with everything (nice furniture, hair dryer, digital radio, a tray with kettle, teas and coffee, TV -but who goes...

I booked this venue last minute in peak season and on arrival was extremely pleased with my find! Easy to find and in a fab location. I was travelling alone so was allocated the smallest room of the three. Although £40pppn, I was lucky only to be charged £65 per night for my three nights. Linda was there to greet...

We stayed over the May bank holiday and booked relatively last minute. From the hundreds of B&B's in St Ives I think we really lucked out. Linda and David were very welcoming and charming... and put on a great breakfast! Our room was very bright, airy and modern as well as super clean, the view was pretty good too. Linda...

A guest house plucked from the millions listed online for a spontaneous mid-January weekend get-away. Being January and being the only ones staying we were able to park literally outside the front door - something of a novelty for St Ives which was never designed with the car in mind! Our room, Porthmeor, directly looks out onto the beach of...

Booked on the Internet having read the reviews. Not disappointed. The Monterey is in a lovely location near Tate and town, super views, great service. Our room 'The Porthmeor' had a kingsized bed, big shower, modern and stylishly decorated, exactly as the picture on screen. Linda and David friendly hosts, breakfasts great with different fruits and cooked breakfast each day....

We've stayed in St. Ives regulalry over ther last ten years but our normal B&B had stopped trading, however it was a delight to find this one instead. We arrived late on Friday night, however this was no problem. Our room was a small white double on the first floor, which was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a cute...

Following a stay 2 years ago I had no reservation in my choice of accomodation. The stunning views of Porthmeor beach are matched by the hospitality offered by Linda and David. Comfortable, spacious rooms, a fine breakfast, a home from home. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was made to feel welcome and relaxed and I look foward to staying...

This is our 4th visit to Monterey and every time we come away with a sense of relaxation and enjoyment. Linda & David are fantastic hosts who will always offer their assistance wherever they can. The breakfasts are scrumptious with plenty to choose from (the apple juice is a must!). The rooms are spacious and full of delightful touches with...
