I’ve just returned from spending a long weekend with 8 of my friends for my wife’s birthday. I just wanted to say, thank you so much for helping us make it such a memorable birthday! Everyone loved their rooms so much -they still won’t stop going on about how comfortable the beds were.

I’ll 100% recommend letting out Trenowan for a group trip! We had such a great time and made full use of the front garden to enjoy the great weather, and roasted marshmallows by the fire at night. The kitchen and living area had so much space for all of us and the cozy sitting room was perfect for our evening games nights!

I stayed at Viv and Ian’s beautiful home in North Cornwall and had a lovely experience. Would recommend to anyone who’s looking to stay in Trenowan for a short Holiday!

We was fully catered to and the house was in a great location.

Could not recommend enough :)

We had a wonderful two day break at Trenowan. Viv and Ian were amazing hosts. We stayed
in the blue room which was very comfortable and spacious with stunning sea views. The house was really lovely- immaculate and tastefully decorated. There were a lot of extra touches that you don't often get in a B and B-robes, lovely toiletries, a fine selection of drinks. The breakfasts were very nice indeed. Viv was really helpful in helping us to make the most of the local area by suggesting walks and places to eat and lending us maps and information booklets as well as torches! The location is perfect for exploring some great places such as Tintagel, Port Isaac and Padstow. We felt very welcome and will be returning. I would recommend Trenowan- so relaxing with little touches of luxury! Thanks for having us. Jenny and Mike X

Booked a four night break for two on a recommendation from a friend who lives locally. We were not disappointed. Our e-mail enquiry was swiftly answered including room availability types and rates. On arrival we were warmly welcomed along with a pot of tea and cake! Breakfast was brilliant. I love a fry up and the wife is more healthy, we were both well catered for and nothing was too much trouble. Vivienne is a warm friendly host who respects privacy but will also engage in conversation without being imposing. We stayed in The Blue Room which was large, cosy and bright, and which offered a good view of the countryside out towards the coastal path and the sea. Strongly recommended.

I was very reluctant to give a truthful review as I wanted to keep this B&B a secret .My daughter and Grandchildren live in Tintagel and with local knowledge rated it as good as it gets. No point in beating about the Bush, all the other reviews are true. The room I had was superb and spotless. The breakfast kept me going until evening. I didn't want to go back to the real World.

Great time considering we visited during very strong gale winds. Iain and Viv made us feel very welcome, the blue room was amazing best bed I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. The breakfast was perfect eggs cooked in three different ways. What more could you ask for :-D Looking forward to visiting again in the summer!!!!

My Husband and I stayed at this wonderful little place this month and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting the local area. The house itself is very neat, clean and tidy and very welcoming. We stayed in the ‘Gold Room’ and loved the Victorian décor especially the chair and footstool positioned by the large window giving a fantastic view of the countryside and sea in the distance. The sun was shining through the window and I could have sat there all day!

The bed was really comfortable with lovely soft duck feather duvet and pillows. The bedding was crisp and clean and was a real joy to jump into after a day’s sightseeing. The bed faces the window so in the morning we had an amazing view to wake up to.

The hosts Vivienne and Iain are lovely people and bent over backwards to make us feel comfortable. When we arrived we were served tea, coffee and home-made rock cakes in the living room – what a welcome! They are very knowledgeable about the area and were able to give us some really good advice about where to go and what to see. They even picked us up from the local pub in the evening!

Breakfast was served in a lovely little breakfast room and was absolutely delicious. There was a good selection of fruit juices, tea, coffee, cereals, toast, fruit and yoghart. We were then served a full English so we were set up for the day ahead! All of the food served was well cooked and of good quality, we couldn’t have asked for more.

The B & B itself is in Treknow, a lovely little place with nice country views and a good place for coastal walks. It is really peaceful and this was welcomed after spending the day in busy Tintagel. In the evening we walked from the B & B along the coast path to the Port William pub/restaurant. This only took 10 minutes and was a delightful walk. There is also the nearby Mill House Restaurant where I’m told the Doc Martin cast and crew have their ‘wrap parties’.

This B & B didn’t come up when I was researching where to stay and I only found it at the last minute; but don’t let that put you off. I rather like the idea that we found a hidden gem amongst the other more standard looking places to stay. It far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be visiting Vivienne and Ian again.

Thank you for a lovely stay!

Claire & Chris

I recently enjoyed a short stay with a friend in Tintagel. I have to say, this delightful B&B was an absolute treat. I couldn't possibly have wished to be welcomed by more helpful hosts. We were looked after superbly, even collected from a pub late in the evening as the weather had turned rather nasty! Food was fantastic and tea plentiful. Loved our stay so much, planning a return for sure.

Iain and Viv are wonderful and gracious hosts who welcome you to their home with open arms and great local knowledge. Their home is clean and comfortable, with great views towards the sea. The walks in either direction are truly spectacular, especially along the sea cliff towards Tintagel's ancient pre-Norman Church and the ruins of King Arthur's castle beyond. Don't plan to lose weight! Viv cooks spectacular English breakfasts with local fare that she has carefully selected and an array of marvellous home-made marmelades. Her homemade scones served as part of Cornish cream teas are superb. In addition to our room, with TV and comfy bed and large bath, we had the use of a downstairs living room, also with TV. Both rooms enjoy huge new windows with westerly views of the sea and fields. This little patch of heaven is made even more special by the easy charm, knowledge and warmth of your hosts. We found the whole experience a real highlight of 3 weeks in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Gran Canary and Tenerife.
