We have just stayed in this beautiful b and b for our 10th anniversary. It was perfectly clean and really welcoming. The breakfasts were lovely and varied for a small b and b from, fruit and Cornish yoghurt to salmon and scrambled eggs or a good fried breakfast.
The location is perfect for a ramble along the coastal paths or a stroll around the charming village of Tintagel.
We stayed in room 1 which was spacious, and really comfy. Lovely views of the church and the Atlantic Ocean. We will stay here again as i am sure we will be back to tintagel sometime and i would recommend it for anybody that wants to stay in a quite, beautiful fully welcoming bed and breakfast.
Also has free wifi, well stocked tea and coffee tray and bottled water

Fantastic place! Very high comfort in the rooms, very clean and decorated with a lot of passion. Breakfast is excellent. There is also a lounge where you can sit together. Quiet and peaceful location and only 3-5 minutes walk to restaurants (italian, pub etc.), 10 minutes walk to the coast with view of King Arthur's castle and access to the coastal path. Overall: GREAT!

Trevenna Lodge is a lovely B&B. It is located in a residential cul-de-sac near the center of the town. Parking was easy and ample. Caroline and her family were warm and friendly hosts. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a view towards Tintagel Castle. The bed was comfortable, with lovely linens. The en suite bathroom was large, modern and very clean. Loved the breakfast. And Caroline gave us great suggestions on how best to walk to and visit the castle, advice that saved us time and steps. I really loved this place!

We loved our recent stay here. After walking a portion of the South West Coast Path, this B&B is located in a great location, not too much further to walk after arriving in the lovely village of Tintagel. We were met by Vivienne and her daughter Caroline and received a very warm welcome. The compendium in our room was one of the most comprehensive we'd seen and recommended local attractions and nearby restaurants to visit. Our room was lovely, very comfortable and everything had been thought of (we liked the small touches that really made the room our temporary 'home' even through we only stayed for one night) The B&B also has a lovely sitting room with games and a fireplace (while we didn't need the fireplace, we enjoyed a good game of Scrabble!) Breakfast was also lovely and personal, thanks to Caroline. We hope to come back!

My husband and I travelled to Tintagel the second week of April 2014 with another couple. We were immediately greeted at the front door by two lovely women, a mother and daughter, and then the daughter, Caroline, showed us around the BEAUTIFUL place and into our rooms. The view from the rooms was breathtaking: the reason people come to Tintagel is to see the extraordinary castle, and you can see it right from the window of your room, with absolutely nothing in the way of your view. We'd been travelling around for a couple of days, staying in nice B&Bs with small rooms and small baths, but the rooms here were very spacious and the bathroom was perfect, with lots of space to move around. Caroline was lovely (we are Canadians from London, Ontario, and she told us she had lived here as well, which was a very welcome surprise) and gave us excellent suggestions for dinner and recommendations for what else to see in the town. The breakfast the next morning was delicious, and she was attentive and chatty when we asked her questions and talked to her, but was never intrusive at all. A truly wonderful host, and a gorgeous B&B, we just couldn't have asked for a better stay.

I did want to address the one bad review that this hotel has received and say what a shame it is that people can be so critical when they're quite clearly having a bad day (the man writing the review actually admits he was having a bad day). In a competitive business like B&Bs, people are trying to run a business with a personal touch, and they rely on traveller-to-traveller reviews and word of mouth to let people know how good their place is. This man complains that the bathroom is too big (which has got to be the most ridiculous complaint I've ever heard; it's like complaining about a meal because it was too tasty), and that he banged his head on the ceiling when he was coming up the stairs. Admittedly, the overhang is low, but not only does Caroline stand there and warn you about it, there are signs EVERYWHERE: on the wall next to it, on the stairs, on the overhang itself (both upside-down on the ceiling as you ascend and on the wall as you descend) that you'd have to be illiterate or unconscious not to have noticed. If someone could give you such an extraordinary experience as Caroline gives travellers with this B&B and you are the sort of person that bumps their head and writes off the entire weekend, maybe you should refrain from writing reviews.

After our stay, we were driving away from the B&B and congratulating my husband on finding this place and he mentioned the bad review, so someone pulled it up on their mobile and we read it aloud, laughing and laughing at the utter ridiculousness of it.

To everyone considering hotels in Tintagel, look no further than this one, and please disregard the ignorant and just plain ridiculous bad review below. Judging by his complete lack of logic, I would say this wasn't the first time he hit his head. ;)

My husband and I just had a lovely weekend in Tintagel and we were VERY impressed with this bed and breakfast. I don't often write online reviews but am driven to do so in this case as I really want to recommend this wonderful place!

It's owned by a very nice South African lady and her family (we were even greeted with tea and homemade cake when we arrived - much appreciated after our long drive) and they are just finishing refurbishments to the whole place. I believe it's been a big task for them, and I can say that the results are absolutely gorgeous!! We stayed in Room 1, which firstly had lovely views, but also is just beautiful - we couldn't believe how nice it was when we walked through the door, it was like walking into a home magazine! Bright and fresh and spotlessly clean. Lots of little touches everywhere, even mints on the pillow, lovely toiletries and fresh flowers - like a 5 star place that you would normally pay much more for. We were so pleasantly surprised.

My husband loved the replica boats throughout the place! Bed was very comfortable so we slept really well and the breakfast in the morning was just delicious (and there was a huge selection to chose from both hot and cold), I can definitely recommend the salmon and scrambled eggs.

They also seem to have a self catering bungalow attached to the b&b which I'm sure would be just as nice, so we will definitely plan to come back with our friends. If you are thinking of going to Tintagel I doubt you will find a better place than Trevenna Lodge! Highly, highly recommended!!!

Arriving late in the day, Caroline was very hospitable and welcoming. We stayed two nights. Our upstairs room was very comfortable with expansive views of rolling pastoral areas, looking towards St Materiana church in the horizon. Quiet. Good breakfast in sunny windowed breakfast-common area facing same views as with our room just upstairs. Everything to see and do in town was a block or two walk. Parking lot in front of B&B.
My husband has a cat allergy and Caroline was good about keeping Bonnie at a distance, prohibiting her from the guest room. She's a super friendly cat if you're a cat lover.
Caroline is easy to speak with and gave us good recommendations/tips. Would definitely stay here again.

Caroline made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent and the mattress was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully prepared and served - again, Caroline made sure that every request was catered for. Bonnie, the resident cat, also played a part in making this a superb B&B experience. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved my stay at this great B&B, hosts Caroline and Vivienne are friendly and informative, my room was so comfortable and I felt so at home, am looking forward to coming back later in the year. The breakfast certainly sets you up for the day and Bonnie the resident cat is also very welcoming. You just cannot go wrong if you stay here.
