Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My partner and I recently stayed here for the weekend. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We stayed in room 4 with amazing views and one of the nicest beds I have ever stayed in. Breakfast was efficient and tasty and spoilt for choice. We will be back next year.

We had a 2 night stay here recently. Couldn't fault it. Exceptional, friendly service. The rooms were immaculate, well-maintained, spacious and very comfortable. The en-suite was clean, a decent shower and plenty of towels. The views are stunning and the location is excellent for enjoying everything Tintagel has to offer. The highlight for me was the breakfast; lots of options, including a freshly made fruit salad with a huge number of fruits! Cooked breakfasts also available and smelt delicious! Will definitely stay again.

I've stayed with Marcus and Andra at Pendrin three times now and I have enjoyed my stay every time. My most recent visit was with my partner who was visiting from the US. Marcus allowed us to check in early and had the room ready for our early arrival from Heathrow. Everything is always clean, tidy and well put together. We've always stayed in sea view rooms and there's usually a chair by the window to take in the great sea air. Parking can be awkward as the parking area is small but Marcus has offered to help us get in and out in the past. Larry the cat tends to oversee the tentative reversing. Breakfast is always nice with cereal and toast readily available. They've been great with us pesky vegans and have kept oat milk and non dairy spread aside for us when asked. It's a shame I won't be able to stay again for a while but I've loved the company and the chats on the bench outside. Even if we didn't get that so much with our last visit due to good old British rain :)

Marcus and Andra are fantastic hosts, I had a lovely time! breakfast is brilliant, the coffee fantastic and the room.. oh wow. I had the solo traveler room and it was such a good bed i "died" each night, refreshed each morning! lovely base for a walker. I recommend davidstow woods, Rocky valley, Golitha falls and nearby Wadebridge for a fantastic round forest walk (OS maps may be needed) this is my... wait... 4th stay here? and I will come again! the ambiance is perfect and the rooms are so clean and inviting. Breakfast is lovely as you get to talk to other guests. nothing is too much trouble for Marcus and Andra who make sure you are comfy and happy during your stay. I will be back!

Great stay here. Really convenient for everything Tintagel. Comfy, clean rooms and a fantastic full English breakfast. We are looking forward to our next visit. Not just convenient for Tintagel, but time for cream tea in Port Wenn. (Isaac) Thanks for great hospitality Marcus.

Pendrin guest house...what can I say? This wonderful place is somewhere i will return to again and again (I have been 3 times so far!!) The location is perfect, the house looks out on to the ocean and you can see some dramatic sunsets from the rooms. The Breakfast is first rate there, they cater for vegans too (even asking what type of milk we liked in the morning) and vegan breakfast options such as sausages etc. Also Marcus does the best coffee in the morning, no lies! Marcus and Andra are perfect hosts, polite, funny and informative about the local area, if your stuck for ideas your in the best place, ask them and they will have the answers! the rooms are clean, tidy and fresh and when you walk in you instantly do a "wow!" the beds are super comfy, the type you lay your head down on and BOOM! you're asleep. Im a sunrise photographer, so I am out at 2-3 in the morning and there is no issue with this as you are given a key etc to go and come back as you please. This time i went with 3 friends, all of which have been before and we all loved our stay. Two of my friends got engaged, and Marcus and Andra got them a bottle of fizz! so kind! its a pleasure to stay here and I will be back!
