Travellers' Choice
The King Arthur's Arms is a family friendly pub and Bed and Breakfast located in the centre of Tintagel, Cornwall. The Inn is open all year, serves good food 7 days a week, usually from 9am to 9pm, and has 12 comfortable Bed and Breakfast rooms, 5 of which are ground floor specially adapted wheelchair accessible disabled bedrooms. It's location, on the beautiful north Cornwall coast, makes The King Arthur’s Arms an ideal base for touring the area. Come and relax, walk the coastal footpath, visit local beaches and St Necten’s Glen, and see the famous King Arthur's Castle, with the fantastic new bridge which connects the Island to the mainland, and Merlin's Cave. For centuries Tintagel with its powerful atmosphere has been a place of inspiration for poets, composers and artists, including Turner and Tennyson. Tintagel was an amazing place 1,400 years ago – it was bigger than London at the time. Come and see for yourself!

We were in Tintagel for a wedding so chose to stay at the King Arthur's Arms. This is a delightful pub with rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. Fully recommended.

Our stay here was great. The annex for disabled is well equipped and has everything you need. Our family room was small but still plenty of room for all our stuff and the bathroom was luxury. Couldn't fault the hotel side of staff. All polite and nothing was a hardship. My only complaint is that breakfast is 8.30 -9.30 only and the full English is one single item of everything, I've never been served that before anywhere. Breakfast should be 6-9 at least. As for the pub staff staff, all the wait staff were lovely and helpful. We only came across one grumpy bar person who was a little short with us and we were made to feel like we were wasting her time. The meals are good, some are better than others so can be a little hit and miss but not bad, I've had a great deal worse. There are soany eateries in Tintagel ,I would say use this pub for your stay and eat else were. Overall a pleasant weekend.

Thank you for your review. Sorry that you were disappointed with Breakfast. As a B&B guest, you may order as many of each breakfast item as you wish but, as a standard, we serve one of everything to cut down on wastage. We are unable to serve Breakfast from 6am to 9am as we are a Pub with only 12 B&B rooms and it is not possible to staff our Kitchen from 6am.

Called in for lunch on short visit to Tintagel with 4 family members aged 5 to 61 years. Pleasant surroundings with plenty of space between tables. Staff very good and food was of a good quality and fairly priced. Would eat here again on any similar visit.

We stayed at the pub for a weekend. We had one of the annexes and it was excellent and spacious. Very convenient being able to use the car park next door. Breakfast was also good. The pub has probably the best selection of drinks I’ve seen in a British bar. The restaurant food is also very good, reasonable prices and proper pub grub. We got talking to some of the locals who were very friendly and entertaining. Could do with some bar stools but you don’t find them in many pubs since Covid. Would definitely stay again.

😊Clean and fresh room. Bathroom very small but modern spotless facilities and good shower.Central location 🙁 Late breakfast no earlier than 9.00 which means a late start for people on a walking holiday. A simple self service cold breakfast of fruit, yogurt etc could be offered for those who need to get away earlier. Room very small

We was staying in Tintagel for the night and was looking for a nice lunch so decided to try here. I asked the unsmiling man who i believe was in charge if the crab salad came with chips. He replied no and carried on with what he was doing. Quite a rude welcome then. When i was eating my crab salad which came with a deliciously fresh and warm baggeutte and butter and was in fact the best crab salad ive ever had ! There was so much crab meat ! I noticed the lady sitting at the next table had chips and i was annoyed as i thought why couldnt the aforementioned rude man not have told me that although chips dont come with the crab salad but that i could still order them as an extra ?

This must be one of the best eating and drinking establishments in Cornwall. Great menu, great service, superb helpings. 24+beers to choose from. Breakfast superb. Had an evening meal on three occasions and each time we were delighted with the quality. Thoroughly recommended.

The hotel rooms are clean, comfortable and have all you need for a basic break in Cornwall. You won't be paying for flashy extras. Rooms are well equiped, warm and the staff will help with anything you need. The pub is friendly and has been set up with Covid safe measures for over a year, they continually adapt to the current needs. The pub food is great, but portions are large so dont snack before you visit. There is a good variety of dishes available. We counted 19 different drinks on the pumps so you should be able to find a drink you like. They also serve hot drinks.

Clean, warm and it all worked. Just as billed and an ideal place to stay while walking the coast path. A friendly family run pub with B and B with parking. Good beers and pub grub too. We were a group of five friends and were very happy with our two night stay.
